Her name is Penny, Jenny, Maddie, and any other name she decides to slap on her tag every time she changes shifts. She rocks my socks. Another beautiful soul I have had the pleasure of encountering is the security man who works there on the weekends. No exaggeration he has actually seen me at my worst. This is a college town with nothing and I mean NOTHING else to do besides get shitfaced on the weekends so naturally, the people that work the late shifts see some unmentionable things. HOWEVER, the incident I am about to explain is mentionable because it shows just how awesome and helpful the staff is. Iowa State celebrates VIESHEA (RIP) in late May and we go hard in the mother fuckin paint. The Tuesday of VIESHEA we got a little aggressive (the $1 tacos and equally as cheap pitchers of beer at Es Tas really get ya goin) and things escalated quickly. A series of unfortunate events led me into one of the most personal encounters I have ever had with a floor. I layed down on the floor and the security man looked at me and said "maam you need to get up" I said "I know" and I got off the floor. It was one of the most touching encounters I have ever had. He changed my life. Penny witnessed this event. Kum & Go has seen some things and they just dont give a flying frick frack. Their gas is fine. Also the food is decent. Don't trust Will Lomax's review it actually is a whore house.

I come in for gasoline (premium is cheaper in Iowa due to the home grown ethanol content) or health snacks (if there is such a thing), but avoid the coffee or any sweet rolls. There are employees constantly making sure everything stays that way. Unfortunately, because of the mass quantity of stock, the quality is sometimes overlooked; mainly in the produce section. The produce can be hit or miss whether or not it's gone bad and just hasn't been pulled or is good with a few "bad apples". The samples are definitely a nice touch while shopping and the employees handling them tend to know about the products, thankfully. Some employees seem to do everything they can to avoid being asked a question, while others go out of their way to help you, so service can be hit or miss as well. The food court is great! Lol. The low prices for the food are awesome and the food tastes great, so win-win there! Overall, this is a clean store with quite a bit to choose from, I just wish the fresh produce was better kept up with as well as the employee interactions.

Historically, their competitive gas prices were one of the primary factors that made recommending a membership to friends and family an easy decision. This shift became more noticeable when they transitioned from offering U87 to U88, yet pricing comparisons are often still made against U87 rates elsewhere in town. As a result, the perceived savings are less compelling. In fact, the gas station near my home is currently offering fuel at nearly the same price without requiring a membership, which further diminishes the value proposition.

Once "back in the barn", the least we could do was make sure that the tank was full and the car was washed. Swift Stop #2 was the first place that came up on Gayle's iphone after walking around the ISU Campus this afternoon. It's a Phillips 66 branded service station and like others in the Midwest, offers Premium at about 10 cents a gallon cheaper than Regular. That's because of the 10% ethanol content. And if you really want to go "whole hog" with this subsidy, E-85 is even cheaper for cars so equipped. We refueled quickly and the Deluxe (cheapest) car was did an admirable job cleaning off the dirt and most of the bugs. And even though it didn't entirely meet my Dad's high standards for exterior shine, he was very appreciative of our efforts.

This place is the worst. You should really avoid all of the Swift Stops in the area. When you swipe…read moreyour card to pay for your gas, and you need to choose which brand of gas you want, the prices disappear! The only people who need that information are people who want the cheapest gas. It appears to be very intentional. The only information you are left with are the words "Plus" "Premium" and "Regular." Guess which one is the cheapest? No, not Regular. I'm really shocked at how deceitful and sneaky this place is. And the people most susceptible to these tactics are older people. They should be investigated.
