This means that consumers can use Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Fitbit Pay, etc, without having to go inside the gas station. Although Casey's and Kim and Go have NFC at the registers inside their gas stations, none of them have it at the pump. Right there, that's the way how pumping gas should be done and it shows that at least this Phillips 66 location is committed to the future over not just pumping gas, but paying for items in general.

The Tuesday of VIESHEA we got a little aggressive (the $1 tacos and equally as cheap pitchers of beer at Es Tas really get ya goin) and things escalated quickly. A series of unfortunate events led me into one of the most personal encounters I have ever had with a floor. I layed down on the floor and the security man looked at me and said "maam you need to get up" I said "I know" and I got off the floor. It was one of the most touching encounters I have ever had. He changed my life. Penny witnessed this event. Kum & Go has seen some things and they just dont give a flying frick frack. Their gas is fine. Also the food is decent. Starbucks stopped selling papers and I've come up empty at both big Hyvees in recent times, so seeing "All the News that's Fit to Print" smiling at me here was a real bonus. I've come in for other stuff too, mainly related to pain relief, allergy, shaving, dental, etc. You know, the usual that one would expect at CVS, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, etc. There also a nice small parking lot on the Welch Avenue side if you don't want to fight it on the street on Lincoln Way.

Forget calling them, you can't get them on the phone.

After walking around the Train Station and admiring the architecture (and the safety fence near the tracks), I first wandered into Hy-Vee Drugstore and for some air conditioned relief. This place is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. They have a nice selection of the usual stuff, plus gifts and wine/beer. I ended up buying a padded wine holder to later (and successfully) take back a bottle of Templeton Rye Whiskey back to Iowa.
