Lol From the Western Clive West Des Moines area it was about a 35 min drive out to North Ankeny but I wanted to check out the shelves here. Love the high wooden displays that give parts of the shop an almost library like look... A lot of the bourbon and whiskey is standard to what you can find at other area shops. Pricing is on par or just a couple of dollars higher. I can see the convenience of this shop to the residents of Northern Ankeny. It's really the only liquor store in the area. There is Costco, but the 10-15 min drive back to Neighborhood or longer to Liquor Lovers would be a pain if you just need to run in and grab something. Nothing screamed "Buy me!" so I walked out empty handed. With it being the haul that it is for me from my home base in the metro (and the speed trap they were running between 1st and 36th on I35) I doubt that I make a special trip back to Sip N Burn, but I won't hesitate to swing in again if I am in the area.
