He never asked about what had happened or what I had been told by the office, but just seemed focused on money (as another yelp review states below) and stated that my insurance was "weird" and "difficult" and that they had "lost money" on my like 3-minute cavity check). You need to realize that the office is in a position of power and please be respectful to everyone. A few months I called and was told that they would check on a cavity as part of my next cleaning at no additional charge (because it would take 10 seconds) and they were nice enough to move up my appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, they said they didn't have time for a cleaning and they checked inside my mouth for about 4-6 seconds and said everything was fine. I confirmed before (over the phone and in person) that it would be complementary (because it would take 10 seconds). They then charged me and billed my insurance for a full exam. The reason for this review is that the office has been frustrating and very needlessly time-consuming to work with; in addition to the phone call, on at least 4 different occasions I was told something would happen (we will call you later today of by tomorrow; we will email you in the next few hours) and nothing was done. Emails weren't sent with names in the signature so I was never sure who I was emailing with. In the future, just say "We're sorry this happened. You were told it would be a cleaning but instead we made a mistake with the schedule and we apologize for this. Good news is at we were able to do a 15-second check on your cavity we installed, and because this was only 15 seconds and because you were misled into thinking that it would be a complementary part of a cleaning, we won't be charging you or your insurance for those 15 seconds." All the dentists and orthodontists I had growing up, would check on a cavity that they installed for free if it took 5-10 seconds. If they saw something that looked more alarming we would go from there and possibly book a longer exam in the future. I may delete this review in the future, and wish everyone the best with no hard feelings. Goodbye.

He said I should get it replaced, and before I went in for my appointment to do it, I got a text letting me know what my expected portion of the bill would be after insurance. I didn't ask for it, and it didn't happen when I arrived - it just magically appeared days in advance. The filling replacement was so fast, painless... I'd go so far as to say it was a breeze. I only had a cleaning to day (and a very deep one as I hadn't been to the dentist in a long time) and I can confidently say that, even though it was a rough cleaning, I enjoyed it! It sounds weird but it's true! The hot rocks, lavender sheet, and warm pillow really helped comfort me and the music in the background was very relaxing. I really enjoyed my experience here and I never thought I could ever say that about a dentist's office. There is a long waiting list but if you're perseverant and positive, you can get in ahead of schedule! No patient should ever be treated differently because of their insurance or the color of their skin. I feel I was treated this way because I have MassHealth/Medicaid, a low-subsidy insurance plan, and because I am a Black woman as if I was ignorant and wouldn't know better. I remained respectful and polite, but I will not return. If you are a person of color and have MassHealth, Medicaid, DentaQuest, any type of state or government insurance, please be cautious. The office was clean and the receptionists were courteous and there was very little wait time. The first hygienist I saw was thorough. I was then told that i would be seeing a different hygienist the next time. It was bad but I was told it was necessary. Each successive cleaning was worse than the last. It became so brutal it felt personal. I was scolded for not using an electric toothbrush. When i purchased one, I was told i didn't buy the right brand. Then i wasn't using the correct type of floss. After much bleeding and pain, we had to stop. During my discussion I was basically told that I should not return because it would reflect poorly on the office if I did. Since that visit i have had constant, severe pain in several of my teeth. Even one they initially repaired. I can't chew anything on one side of my mouth and everything I eat, or drink has to be room temperature. While my teeth may not have been in perfect condition before, I had no pain in any of them prior to these visits. I sought another dentist after the third trip. When i sat in his chair he asked if I was okay as I was so scared, I was noticeably trembling.
