We arrived on a Saturday around 7:30 and they started getting packed and had a wait by 8. They are cash only but if you forget they have an atm inside as well! Prices are so shocking! Each bowl was about $14 which is the cheapest I've seen a bowl of pho in a looooong time. Food comes out pretty quickly. We order the appetizer fried shrimp Rangoon, bun Bo hue, pho dac biet, and avocado smoothie w/boba. The base of soup for both dishes was AMAZING! Good depth of flavor and not lacking anything. The bun Bo hue had a ton of meat and they even have the pork blood cubes! Pho dac biet was lacking a quantity of meat but good variety. The only complaint I have is the Avocado smoothie was very bland and didn't have much avocado taste. The boba tasted old because it didn't have its chewy texture anymore. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for the food!!!

Best of all, the prices are very affordable compared to other places I've tried. The goi cuon is only $5.50 for two rolls, while other restaurants charge around $7.50. I highly recommend this spot. Just keep in mind that they only accept cash, although there's an ATM inside.

My bestie has been here a few times, so I went with the Ramen should recommended I should get. Forbidden Noodles definitely exceeded the expectations I didn't have. Food: I ordered a pork tonkotsu with miso instead of the tonkotsu ($14.99). Since I was treating myself that day, I also decided to try their cream cheese rangoon with their spicy mayo ($3.99 for 3 pieces) and it was absolutely delicious! Honestly a great combo! Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. I went on a really hot day, so it felt nice walking into the cold. The place had low lighting which gave it a warm and cozy aesthetic. Perfect place for a date or catch up lunch/dinner. Customer Service: I thought the customer service was great. The cashier that took my order was really nice. She even brought out cups of water for me & my bestie even though neither of us asked for any. Parking: There's a parking lot, parking garage, & street parking which is all FREE. Street parking is hit or miss, so I totally recommend parking at the parking lot or parking garage. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a good experience at Forbidden Noodles. I would highly recommend this place if you're craving some Ramen but want to skip the trip going to Chinatown (although Chinatown does have a good chunk of Ramen spots). You can even watch a movie before or after grubbing at Forbidden Noodles at the nearby Classic Cinemas La Grange Theatre. I hope this review helps Forbidden Noodles & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

Clean, inviting restaurant, tastefully decorated. Greeted and order taken promptly. Food was ready after a short wait. Everything was securely packaged for a safe ride home. The gyoza were savory and delicious! Egg rolls remained crisp and tasty. The spicy vegetable ramen was generously portioned, with a tasty broth, perfectly cooked egg, a few tofu cubes, plenty of ramen noodles (of course), and a fine assortment of delicious vegetables which included broccoli, bok choy, Brussels sprouts, etc. A little on the pricey side, but the meal was worth it!

I asked for a hot paste to bring up the heat and was obliged by the chef himself. I do like the fact that the chef comes out to bring me the hot sauce, if course I didn't want to insult his food and he understood. The noodles here are always nicely done and the seafood will definitely satisfy your taste. It considered of shrimp, and seafood mixed up. I love the singleness of the soup yet it does offer you a warmness that lingers on the palate. I was gling to order the beef bone marrow from next door (yws you can also order from the next door restaurant but you have to ask) and this adds an element of more food for your buck so to speak. I do adore that they flyer this. I have eaten on their outside Cafe in summer but for cold days, inside it is. Very romantic spot (this time the partner was working) so I ate alone. But it was fine. Always a very clean and sweet place to eat and I highly recommend any of the soups. I've had various ones. Just the perfect spot to have a meal for sure.

As a lover of boba tea drinks and Korean corn dogs, it became an instant bookmark for me after finding that it has plant-based sausage as a filling option in its corn dogs which not many Kong Dog locations have. It took me minutes to find where it was located because I thought it had its own space, so I took many turns around this parking lot in search of it. I found that its location sits within North Riverside Park Mall, inside of the food court. Rather than wait in line to order, I ordered via a kiosk machine which was tolerable and easy to navigate through. And as I visited for, I ordered a Potato Kong Dog (plant-based sausage filling), and a Mango Lemonade (Strawberry Popping Boba). In spite of dreading congested areas, I dined within the food court in order to eat my food while it was fresh. And because I located a seat in an open area of the food court. The Potato Kong Dog tasted delicious! Its crunchy potato coating complemented the soft tenderness of the plant-based sausage filling inside which was satisfying. And that colorful Mango Lemonade (Strawberry Popping Boba) was flavorful indeed. All in all, I had a pleasant ordering experience with Kong Dog (North Riverside Park Mall). And as stated in this review, I enjoyed my meal and would surely re-visit if I get just the slightest craving for a Korean Hot Dog.
