I had an amazing evening at Il Paisano and it quickly jumped to the top of my list for Italian…read morerestaurants in the area. The food was genuinely delicious from start to finish. The octopus was by far the best I've ever had -- perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with incredible flavor. You can really taste the fresh thyme, sage, and that wonderful crispy basil on top. Every bite was a delight. I also tried the osso buco ravioli, and it did not disappoint at all. The richness of the osso buco paired beautifully with the pasta -- comforting, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The whole experience was fantastic. If you love authentic Italian food with thoughtful, high-quality ingredients and bold but balanced flavors, you need to try this place. I'll definitely be back soon!

The ambiance was interesting as this place is a deli and grocery store by day and restaurant by night. That said the tables were nicely dressed with lamps and wine glasses. The service was the best we had on our trip starting right at the beginning of the night...one of the owners helped us decide a wine from their wine room and educated us on some variations. The wine we decided was perfect for us. For the meal, we had some idea of what we thought we wanted but gladly allowed the owner decide for us...the pear and octopus were incredible for starters, the fish and lamb with pasta for the main course were also awesome, and just when we didn't think it could get better we had chocolate cake and cappuccinos. I've not been to Italy but my wife has and she said it was the first time tasting Italian food in America that reminded her of Italy. Only bad thing is that we don't live near this place, it would definitely be in monthly rotation. We're gonna try to stop by tomorrow before we leave town to get sandwiches from their deli.

Tried Wicked Cheesesteak for the first time and was seriously impressed. I had my first-ever Boston…read moreThree-Way sandwich -- delicious roast beef, BBQ sauce, and mayo on a toasted onion roll -- and it was outstanding. As a Philadelphia native and cheesesteak connoisseur, I've had plenty of meat sandwiches over the years, and this one surprised me in the best way. It looked heavy but was actually light, flavorful, and easy to eat. We also tried the pizza, which was very good (my son definitely approved). If you get a chance to try their sandwiches, you really can't go wrong. I'd rate the Boston Three-Way a solid 9/10. They are super friendly and the owner seems like a good guy.

Wicked Cheesesteaks absolutely nailed it…read more We ordered a bunch of items -- the three-way roast beef, a cheesesteak, boneless chicken wings, a whoopie pie, and a key lime pie -- and everything was excellent. The food was fresh, hot, and packed really well for takeout so nothing arrived soggy. You can tell they actually care about how the food travels. The three-way roast beef was legit New England style. They use the real James River BBQ sauce, which instantly took me back to the North Shore. If you're someone who misses places like Kelly's Roast Beef, this hits the spot. The cheesesteak was also done right with Cooper Sharp white American, just like a classic Philly should be. The wings were great too -- big portions and really flavorful. And the desserts were clearly homemade. The whoopie pie and key lime pie were both fantastic and the perfect way to finish the meal. Service was great as well. When we picked up our order they went through everything with me to make sure we had it all, which I always appreciate. If you're from New England and craving Kelly's roast beef or the kind of wings you'd get at the Ninety Nine, this is absolutely your place. Big portions, authentic flavors, and totally worth it.
