I've been going there for years and the family is always so welcoming. The food is fantastic and the service is amazing.

Seems overrated. Perhaps since it was my first time there it was a lot to take in but no clear menu or pricing and the receipt is also not clear with just random charges and no descriptions. We got 3 subs all of which were over $27 each... for a sandwich?? One of them did not even include the meat! Just cheese on cold bread for $27? When we realized this...they were already closed so we couldn't even go back to tell them. We also ordered cannolis but got less than we ordered in the box and probably got charged for more than they gave us . Perhaps there's something specific that we need to try there and it is not the subs!? read more

Had a wonderful experience here and would definitely return. As soon as you park up you can smell how delicious the store is making it feel very authentic Italy walking in. My boyfriend and I shared two slices of pizza - grandma's slice which is just tomato sauce and lots of garlic; (we agreed that this one was the better one of the two) and the a vegetable slice. Both slices were very delicious and tasted fresh. We also shared a sub sandwich with sausage, peppers & onions and parmesan cheese and this was exceptional! The bread was perfectly crunchy out the outside, soft on the inside and soooo fresh. I'm excited most to try more of their sandwiches. We also bought some frozen / packaged goods to take home and enjoy for later. We made the meatballs, fresh pasta and sauce later that evening and everything tasted just as good. The quality was not compromised from being frozen and we were really happy about that. The store itself is very cozy with aisles of oils, sauces, vinegars, dried goods, sweets, spices, etc. It can be a little overwhelming to look through it all. There are coolers of frozen foods and the counter offers fresh cheeses and meats, etc. All in all, this is a fantastic spot to grab a bite to eat, grab something for later or both! read more

From the second I walked in i was transported back to Brooklyn. with memories from my childhood.Family run Italian Deli that I believe has been in business for over 50 years. I went two days before Christmas and boy was it busy. They have everything from italian sandwiches to pastries to lasagna To pizza . I grabbed a fresh mozzarella, a fried chicken cutlet( it was bigger than my head), seafood salad, semolina bread, a couple of rice balls,cannolis and Sfogliatella . Everything was so fresh and delicious. The mozzarella still room temperature. The bread crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seafood salad with calamari, octopus ,scungilli and shrimp was so awesome . I didn't want to share. Oh, yeah.And I picked up some olives too. just know this place is always busy! This is super authentic Italian food literally heard Italian being spoken throughout the whole market. They sell products as well as make hot food. I've been going to Mimi's Ravioli for many years ( more than 20 years for certain ) and picked up many Italian staples depending on what I wanted to cook that day. Never in all those years did I order a slice of their New York style cheesecake. OMG! Although I am not a New Yorker, I actually lived in Brooklyn many years, I went to three schools in Brooklyn, I got married in Brooklyn and we had our first child together in Brooklyn, and oh by the way ate at Junior's Cheesecake more times than I can remember. So you'll forgive me if I come off as one of those typical New Yorkers who thinks everything is better in NYC. Sorry, but Mimi's cheesecake is way better than Junior's Cheesecake. Great place to stop at while in Hollywood. We had the chicken parm sandwich and it was very good. The freezers are filled with Mimi's homemade raviolis & Manicotti filled with a variety of different fillings. There are also trays of eggplant Parmesan, lasagna, chicken Parmesan and more. They carry pasta, wine, cheeses, canned vegetables, incredible looking desserts and amazing subs too. We ordered 2 subs one chicken Parm, the other prosciutto and mozzarella with tomato. 10/10. What a wonderful family owned business that has been around a lifetime! The have a complete Italian market that you can purchase your ingredients from to make your own dish at home, or they have already made frozen items that you can toss into the oven with your favorite sauce and spices. If you are hungry while you are there, they have food to order as well. The service is fast paced, however warm and friendly at the same time. I should not be telling yall about this place. It's been a staple for my family for 4 generations now. If you like picking up their ravioli at Doris' market, you'll love coming here bc the selection is INCREDIBLE. The staff knows my family and isn't surprised when we order ravioli by the case. I also think their biscotti is unbeatable, chocolate and almond is my go to and no I don't care how much it costs for a big container. We also grab fresh mozzarella and hard to find imported Italian non perishables (like good olive oil by the jug). If you care about an Italian in your life, you need to direct them here. Had a terrible experience at this place... today around 2pm... deli/ grocery store. Have never been so humiliated by this bald headed dude.. ! it may be the owners son Frank Jr). ‍ Totally disrespectful, unprofessional and freaking rude!! Asked for a Italian sub... Hispanic lady taking order. Didn't know what an Italian sub meats come with.. gave me ticket to pay upfront. Which i did... ask this Hispanic chic at the front where the chips were..? Points towards the isles. I walked up n down and nowhere to be found. I ask her again. Immediately she has an attitude like i was bothering her.. . Still no sandwich ready... people in the back had forgotten to make it i guess... then this guy has an attitude telling me that sandwiches take atleast 1/2 hr to make that i could call ahead next time ‍. No dude!! Thats not acceptable... my husband had order 1 pepperoni slice ... instead they put 2 inside box!! I guess to charge for 2 without us noticing... we paid for it ... we! One of my favorite Italian markets. I stopped in for the cappuccino and the friendly atmosphere. This market makes great coffee. It is not so advertised but it should be. I recommend trying it. This is a place that is hard not to buy. The dessert counter looks so yummy. I ended up with some types of claw desserts that tasted great. I also recommend the fresh mozzarella. They have different types. I liked the smoked but all are good. I noticed a bigger expansion or maybe it's me on the cooked food. It is told by the pound. Everything looks so good. I got the Chicken Franchise. I can wait to try it. The service and staff friendliness is great. They make you feel good and they really do try to help you. They are very good with suggestions. Definitely a Hollywood/ Pembroke Pines stable for good Italian food & goodies. We always stop in for their pizza and cheesecake. The NEW YORK cheesecake here is top tier. I felt like I just hopped of the subway in little Italy with the smell of fresh cheeses and homemade pizza filling the store. Pizza is more of a homemade style which is also good. This place has been around for many years! I use to come here when I was in high school for my BF mom. Today I picked up some cheese stuff shells and I can wait to eat them. Fresh mozzarella chesse, out of this world! Arugula, pumpkin , red velvet and pistachio. Limoncello tiramisu, finger licking good Garlic focaccia , the bread is soft and full of flavor. I really wanted to love this place since I had read so many great reviews but unfortunately my experience was just pretty average. The place was very small, kind of hard to walk around in, which I wasn't a big fan of but if you don't mind people constantly bumping into you then this is the place for you! There was no prices on many of the items which just strikes me as kind of strange. For instance, I ordered 2 subs and then found out they were $18.99 each. That's absolutely insane. I also had asked about having them on seeded Italian bread which they said I'd have to purchase a loaf of their bread separately for $5 more and they can make it on it. Whoever heard of an Italian deli not having seeded bread to make their subs, hoagies, heroes or whatever you want to call them?! I passed on the subs. The only thing I ended up buying was their home made mozzarella cheese which was very good for $19 but not good enough that I'd be rushing back there anytime soon. The food in the cases looked fine but nothing that really caught my eye so I only ended up with the cheese. Was going to buy some ravioli since that's what they're known for but the no prices on any of the different ravioli made me pass on buying it. I think this was a one and done visit for me. read more
