I would not recommend Cascade Remodelers to anyone based on their poor quality of work and refusal to obey a court order. We hired Cascade Remodelers to do various construction work on our new home, including the installation of a county required storm drainage system. This system had engineered drawings that Cascade was required to follow in order to gain county approval. The construction work went smoothly until the county inspector went to inspect our new storm drainage system. Turns out, Cascade had put some kind of drainage pipes in the ground, but not at all according to the engineered plan. Nor did they leave their work exposed so it could be inspected by the county.
We tried working with the owner of Cascade Remodelers, Ron Benedict, to solve the problem. He would not talk to us. Meanwhile, the county inspector would not allow further work to be done on our new home until the engineered drainage system was inspected and signed off. This meant we had to hire and pay another contractor to re-do the job we paid Cascade Remodelers to do.
Since Ron Benedict would not refund our money, or do anything else to make the situation right, we had to file a small claims lawsuit against him. The judge ruled completely in our favor and ordered Cascade Remodelers to refund our $2,100.00 plus court costs.
When told about the judgment, Ron Benedict refused to pay and said we would not get a penny of the judgment. This forced us to hire an attorney and file the judgment in Superior Court. When our attorney called Ron, and threatened to garnish his bank accounts to pay the judgments, he finally sent a check.
