My three nephews stacked the wood, but there appeared to be a lot of small scraps (two big garbage cans of those scraps) after the wood was stacked. Once the scraps were collected there was a tremendous amount of sawdust, chips and other debris on the ground. Previously when I ordered firewood, the debris was minor and I just swept it off the driveway. It was way too much to sweep off the driveway. We collected 24 garbage bags of debris. Now, I have to deal with 24 bags of trash. As we were bagging debris were found some wood hidden in the vast amount of debris.

Another Yelp Request-A-Quote success! We had a fairly significant concern with a huge tree…read morethreatening property damage for our neighbor and us as well. I posted a request through the Yelp APP on Saturday afternoon and had a free on-property estimate completed by Lane at Deadwood Forestry before dinner that night! He provided quotes for two different options to address the problem, pruning and balancing the tree, or full removal. I was leaning toward full removal, even though it would cost more. Lane actually provided sound counsel that ultimately convinced us to save the mature tree, allowing the tree a chance to heal, and ultimately costing us less money. I appreciated that his priority was always the health of the tree, along with addressing our concerns for safety for the surrounding properties. We had an estimate in writing by Sunday, and had our service scheduled by Monday. We did get a quote from another company that came back a little cheaper, but ultimately did not seem as organized and professional. The work was completed today. The Deadwood Forestry crew took their time, ensuring the job got done efficiently, but safely. They cleaned up every sign of their work, leaving us with a beautiful stack of firewood, and a lovely, mature tree with a new lease in life! When and if we have more work like this, we will absolutely be calling on them again.

Then there's the tree.... I didn't even know how they would get this thing down, squished between my neighbors and my house. Then to add to the difficulty, the tree was on a retaining rock wall. Watching them take it down was amazing. My neighbors and I actually enjoyed watching them, masters at their craft. A few minutes ago I was chatting with my neighbors and they appreciated how nice and courteous Josh's team was. Turns out Josh has done tree pruning/trimming for some neighbors down the street too. They also highly recommended. 5+ stars to a great company with great abilities and work ethic. Josh came out right away to look at it to see if there was anything we could do to save. Sadly there was not. The crew came out shortly thereafter took down the tree left me all the mulch as well as couple of chunks that I requested and cleaned up the several weeks worth of needles that had been falling from the dead tree. They managed to carefully place the limbs so not one of my irises was destroyed. All for a price that was totally reasonable. With the tree trimming the team managed everything from getting the power shut off to cleaning the detritus. Quality, quick response time, and really nice folks while I mourned my tree.

5 stars just isn't enough…read more I woke up one morning to a text from my mom with a picture of what looked liked a large branch which had broken from her tree. Her text said, "Tomorrow, on my day off, I'm going to saw it down to dump!" My mom is a bit older and very petite, so when I read this, I imagined mom with a hand saw in the middle of her driveway and I laughed and responded, "No, I'll take care of it for you." I live in Southern California and mom lives in Reno, so I couldn't just come over and clean it up for her, unfortunately. I first called waste management, they apparently don't do bulk pickups in Reno. I went onto Yelp and searched tree removal, stumbled across Greater America Tree Service and gave them a call. Mark, who answered the phone, was very professional and polite. I explained to him the situation, he asked me to text him the pictures mom had sent me. He responded with a fair estimate. Not even an hour later, I get a call and text back to let me know that they had finished. Talk about speedy service. What's even more awesome is they decided not to charge me. Apparently, the branch was a lot smaller than it appeared in the pictures. So they just went ahead and took care of it. Poor guys spent more on gas money to get out there! Bottom line, I would highly recommend Greater Nevada Tree Service and will be referring them to anyone in Reno that needs tree trimming or removal. Unexpected kind acts from strangers are so rare these days, my mom and I greatly appreciate what they did. Although it may not have been much work for them, it saved me a lot of worrying and saved my mom a lot of physical labor. Thank you again!!

Called the tree guys at 12:15 on a Tuesday. They answered, came over, and my tree issues were complete by 1:15 the same day (while it was snowing, mind you). They were friendly, professional, and gave great advice. They had just finished up a large job so there was a whole troop of them! Made the job go so quickly and gave me someone to chat with while I watched them work. I don't have a lot of tree needs, but if I do I will definitely be calling these guys up again.
