The worst place do not ever order from here. My food came ice cold and when I called the person that answered told me i am very busy go call the manager and tried giving me another number. The restaurant did nothing for me. The food was so bad and they were monster size buns with a tiny burger inside stuffed with a mountain of lettuce and 4 giant pieces of tomatoes i guess to fill the ridiculous bun they but the burger on. Love this place! I live right across the street so I can vouch that this cafe has the widest selection of sandwiches, salads, pastas, smoothies, and desserts that you could imagine. The staff is always extremely friendly and their food is spot on. I personally love the veggie panini (comes with a small salad!) and the kale smoothie. They also have a great display of cakes and desserts but thus far I have resisted temptation. read more

A coworker and I decided to lunch here one day during a video shoot. The place was crowded the first time we ate here, but the staff is very efficient. There is a lot on the menu to choose from, however, I definitely recommend the chicken salad wrap. I love spicy, and their chicken salad wrap has a good amount of jalapeños in it. meh. I've worked in the area for over 3 years and probably order from these guys once a week or so. Decent sandwiches, quick delivery, friendly staff..... the salads are pretty good too. Just don't try to get too fancy. Wraps, pizza, and pasta all leave something to be desired. The sweets in their glass case look a lot better than they taste. Juice is okay, but gets expensive when you don't order one of their prescribed combinations. I routinely order an all veggie juice and a BLT and end up satisfied. read more

I was surprised at the rating because when I walked by this place it looked really good. I went today. The food is good - nice scratch made breakfast sandwich. But I went in for the juices but the kid told me he couldn't make one, without apology and apparently because they are too busy. It doesn't look like much from the outside, however staff is very friendly and I can vouch for salads. Pick your size of precut plastic bowls packaged greens of your choice, add three two veggies ( I get cherry tomatoes and sweet fresh pepper ) plus grilled chicken tossed all in big metal mixing bowl add olive oil , pepper and balsamic vinegar and you have well sized ( I order small ) generous on chicken fresh simple salad. Simple is beautiful. P.S. try chocolate canoli! Great midnight snack for those with sweet tooth. Would give it a five if it was more vineyard and less cafeteria, but that's just personal preference read more

Stopped in here at 10:30 pm on a Thursday and all I can say is that their freshly juiced veggie drink, turkey w/ apples and brie sandwhich, and chicken parmesan sandwhich absolutely positively hit the spot for my fiance and I. The servers were polite and friendly, the place felt very clean, and we also noticed they offer breakfast sandwiches and delicious looking sweets, so we WILL be coming back. read more

Ate here 3 times during my stay. The sandwiches and wraps are good, fresh and the prices are really reasonable. I got an extra sandwich to take to the airport with me - better and less $ than airport cafes. Definitely give it a try if you just need a quick bit in the area or to take with. Yum! read more

i go to the cascade cafe whenever I'm in town for business. It was clean, the staff was friendly, The food was great. I don't know if it has new owners, or they only changed the staff but it is NOT the same. The staff just "do their job". The food is still good BUT.... Always check the prices and make sure that's what they charge you! One of the display items had a price on it of $5.00...I got to the register and she charged me $5.50. I know it's only 50 cents but that's not the point. When I brought it to her attention she argued with me and said "check the board". I said it says right there ON the sandwich $5.00. (It's not listed on he board.) She then told the cook to change the sign and refused to credit me. I used to go there all the time (at least once a month every day for a week). They just lost my business over 50 cents and all the business from my office. There is a deli about 4 doors down. They will get my business from now on. read more

Chocolate cannolis were delicious! This place is great! Good smoothies and egg sandwiches. They will make you anything you ask for even if it is not on the menu as long as they have the ingredients. For example my son wanted a grilled cheese sandwich which is not on the menu and voila, they made it with no problem. I asked for an egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant and croissants did not appear as an option for egg sandwiches on the menu, and I got it. Great service and food! read more

We came here for breakfast after a very late night out. I got a western omelette and my husband got a pastrami omelet with home fries and toast. The food was made fresh right in front of us with fresh ingredients and made to order. The guy was really great too! Simple enough... or so I thought- anything that could go wrong did! -forgot about our order and served 3 people who were after us before us -out of everything bagels (we ended up with one plain and one salt bagel...even though we'd asked to substitute the everything for an onion) -forgot the cheese and then added a cold slice (in only 1 of the 2 sandwiches) as an afterthought. -Did I mention that the cook was rude? Can't say enough good things about Cascade. I almost visit this cafe daily. The staff are extremely friendly and bring great vibes to the diner. This is my go-to deli when I stay in Midtown. Their tuna melt is to die for. It is so good. Their chicken noodle soup is also really good. I would give them a five but as someone said in another review you just have to be careful how they charge you. They tried charging me for a whole meal when I just got a sandwich. My experience here was pretty bad. I arrived at about noon on a Sunday, there were about 10-15 people in the shop (about 1/10th the size of the line for a bagel place across the street). Waited a few minutes, placed my order for an everything bagel toasted with plain cream cheese and a slice of tomato (not the strangest order in the world, right). Waited another 5-10 minutes and got my order. Except they gave me an everything bagel with cheddar cheese and lox. I told them that wasn't what I ordered and they offered me cream cheese and tomatoes on the side. I explained that I'm a vegetarian and wouldn't just "pick the lox off". Finally the girl huffed and said "fine, wait over there, but it's going to be a while because we're really busy right now." Excuse me? I was there before the other customers you're currently serving and your team got my order wrong. If I hadn't already paid I would have left. Probably could have waited in line at the other place and been eating my bagel in the same amount of time. Food wasn't bad in the end, just the staffs attitudes. read more

I here for a conference. My second time to NYC. I stopped here for some breakfast. The staff is friendly and customer service oriented. I got the pastrami omelette.
