You can't sit on the water while the lake laps at the stone while the sun sets and it's like 20 degrees and a balmy breeze ruffles your hair and whispers sweet nothings in your ear and then a 10 Euro bottle of stonkingly good house white arrives followed by spaghetti with clams and grilled lake trout and a fruit de mer risotto packed with so much seafood Japan has sent a ship to try and commandeer it. We found this place and thought pizza sounded great, so we went for it. The server was really friendly, and like many tourist towns, he seem to speak every language in Europe. After starting with Italian and moving into German, he finally settled on English for us (although he tried a bit of French later as well). We both got the beef carpaccio with truffle and shaved parmesan (because truffle) and a pizza with a spicy sausage and blue cheese (that's each because we're crazy and order the same things). So the carpaccio was really delicious. Thinly sliced, melt in your mouth with plenty of truffles and cheese. The pizzas were also really amazing as the gorgonzola really went with the spicy sausage. We then opted to get a glass of grappa at the end (as you do), and they brought out the longest bottle known to man to pour into our tiny glasses. He accidentally poured way too much into my partner's glass, so I think we got more than we should have. And it turned out to be only 5 Euros a glass, so we got a great deal. It's definitely a bit touristy, but well worth the shenanigans to get a great pizza meal with some great service.

Which for a man is great, whereas a lady might wanna share the ice cream with someone! The location is optimal, in the hearth of Bardolino and with plenty of seats close to the lake. And the atmosphere at nighttime is magic. I would recommend to try the cocktail "Criatallo", a huge cocktail that is extremely good to start a fun night out. I'll go back to this place soon!

On this occasion, this was a stumbling upon we were very happy to have happen to us - probably about 5 minutes walk from Bardolino beach and promenade. We were on our last day of holiday and after looking forward to a final pizza we didn't bother checking out the rest of the menu and this brought us to 3 pages of exciting pizza and calzone options. We had 2 amazing pizza's for about 20 Euros (my cheese, ham and asparagus one was incredible!) - but as all the people around us were getting their pasta brought out, we had a serious case of FOMO! We had Bruschetta and ham/melon to start which was great and very fresh. This was followed by our pasta dishes; ham and cheese tortellini and spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and chilli. Both pasta dishes were a little underwhelming, the flavours weren't the best but the pasta itself was well cooked. We felt a little rushed to leave but the staff were always friendly. I think this place would definitely be better in the high season.
