this place obviously counts on their clientele not knowing anything about furniture with actual quality. the owner pushes the same furniture to EVERY person that she works with. i've seen 3 houses with the exact same pieces of junk from China that she is claiming to be "unique" and "original". a neighbor of mine actually has the same nightstands that she put into a model apartment in the retirement community that my mother just moved into! furniture that can be bought at Jordans is fine for some things, but not for people who are expecting "fine furnishings". the website has the same cookie-cutter style. the shop is darling, but also overpriced. after speaking with a member of the staff, i was informed that they charge $225 per hour for design time, on top of the money that they make selling furniture!!!! the owner is obviously more concerned with gouging people, then she is with coming up with unique and properly designed homes. i haven't been able to get a straight answer on whether the owner has any credentials in interior design or not. from what i've heard, she is a gift shop owner who is posing as a designer in order to make a HUGE profit on unassuming people who think that they are getting a qualified professional. if you want QUALITY pieces of furniture in your home, and a trained professional who puts time and a unique touch into what you want, as opposed to what will make her the most profit, DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE! when my friend told me how much she was charged for this "crap", i felt terrible for her. there are so many wonderful designers in the area who understand what unique style is, and who will give it to you at a fair price. i am so glad that i did my research before hiring this place to design my homes. the friends that i have living on the Cape who have used her are mortified that their houses all look the same. this community is too small to give everyone the same look and expect them not to eventually run into each other. aqua and beige are NOT the only colors available to give you the "coastal" look. and the "wow" factor is lost after you've been to 3 different houses that look exactly the same. it's obvious that this person has one trick and is using it over and over again. read more
