El Sol's dishes are always on point, fresh, hot, and full of flavor. A typical meal can run around $10, however their portion size is huge and we typically need a box to take home. Can anyone say 'leftovers'? While waiting for the food we snack on chips and salsa. There are times when the chips may be a little stale, but that doesn't stop us from eating a gazillion baskets. At times we splurge on the white queso dip. I love it, but the rest of the fam typically just devours the salsa. I absolutely recommend the fajitas. Son and I usually split the steak and chicken fajitas. Make sure to ask for another order of tortillas if you are going to split. There is a small fee for extras, but worth it since we are splitting. I could live off the rice and beans. The rice is just that, rice and flavoring, no little weird things in it (aka vegetables). He asked if I spoke Spanish, and when I said I didn't, he began mocking me in Spanish. After we sat down, his behavior became worse. He laughed with another man and made insulting and vulgar comments about us. He repeatedly told me to "eat shit," which was completely uncalled for and disrespectful. He also stared at us in a sexual and uncomfortable way, checking our bodies the entire time, while continuing to talk badly about me as if I couldn't understand. This experience was humiliating and unacceptable. No one should be treated this way for not speaking a language or for simply being in a restaurant. I haven't been here in years, and the one time I decided to come back, I was met with harassment and hostility. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The service was kind of slow the first time I went, but they were very newly open and it was packed and I don't think they had enough staff. The second time I went it was a random time in the afternoon and the waiters were friendly and knowledgeable regarding gluten free menu items which is always a plus. The ambiance is nice and bright and they play good and lively music. I can't wait to try more of their menu!
