Going in, we were kind of doubting Casa Tequila and boy was I wrong. Had excellent service and the menus came right off the bat and so did drinks. The waiter was very nice and was very efficient. I got the chicken and rice and it was very good, warm, and very filling (I got leftover). The queso was also very good and the drinks were delicious. We are always looking for good Mexican food as we live 10 miles from Mexicali Mexico and love the food there. We happened upon Casa Tequila and gave it a try. I'm so glad we did! I have never had a bad experience here. Usually I just get a lunch #4, tamale, taco,rice and beans. You know how when you go to a Mexican restaurant and just some of its good? Not here. Clean plate everything. Highly recommend! read more

My wife and I were very disappointed when we dined there Saturday night. It took almost ten minutes to get menus after being seated and another ten minutes to get our drinks ordered. Then waited another ten to order our food. The food order took a long time to arrive from the kitchen. The Burrito Grande that my wife ordered wasn't even hot and my Carnitas dinner was over done. We didn't get to bring this up with the staff because it was busy and could tell were short of help. They did microwave my wife's burrito to get it hot. The Margarita's were the only thing that was fine. We have been patronizing both Casa Tequila locations for several years now and haven't had any issues with the Tiffin location. We realize it is hard to obtain staff for coverage, but at the same time we usually spend around $60 every time we visit. We live in Williamsburg and like to patronize the local businesses. Stopped at this little restaurant in downtown Williamsburg, IA for lunch. The staff greeted us right away, they were friendly, attentive and quick. We were immediately served chips and salsa, the chips were as good as any standard chip, but the salsa was pretty tasty. We ordered fajitas, that was a sizzling combination of steak, chicken, onion and peppers. They were seasoned perfectly but the meat was a bit chewy. It came with flour tortillas, refried beans, rice, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and guacamole. I ordered a Bloody Mary which tasted fine but was garnished with 2 limes? A little strange but that's ok. It was a fun stop with great service and tasty food, would definitely recommend to anyone passing through. read more

Had the stuffed pineapple which was delicious and had lots of flavor. Wife had the enchiladas Verde which were great. Son had the shrimp quesadilla which was full of good shrimp. We got snowed in here on our way back to Colorado, where we subsist almost entirely on (and are very spoiled by) tacos. This place was genuinely delicious- not just road trip at-least-it -isn't-taco-bell delicious, actually delicious. Well-made meats, nice selection of authentic mexican dishes and American-mexican dishes, including a la carte tacos. Spice level negligible by Mexican food standards, decent by midwest standards- but the food was flavorful enough that the nod to the midwestern palette was not a problem. Order a plate! Also it's a lot of food for the price point. I'm going to make a point of stopping back if I'm driving through Iowa again. read more

Food here is always good...but check your bill before paying. Spent almost $50 on a LUNCH. Prices charged were at least $2 higher than the menu prices. Also ordered one thing but got a higher priced dish. I didn't know as I'd never had either before. Asked about the discrepancy after checking the menu and was told the manager set the prices and he had nothing to say about it. Searched for a restaurant while driving through I-80 and came across Casa Tequila. I didn't read reviews or view any pictures of their food prior to arriving. When you walk through the door, there is no aroma of freshly cooked food. Nothing really grabs you and invites you in as it happens at other places. We were seated and presented with chips and salsa while our drinks were gathered. The chips were crispy and not overly salted as sometimes happens while the salsa was chunky with no hint of spice or garlic. It was very neutral and would definitely sit well with people that may not enjoy a hint of spice or strong bold flavors. Our waiter seemed rushed and was quick to take our order although the place was not packed. Our food came out quick which gives an impression of super fast service but also means low quality. The food was mediocre and did not pack anything out of the ordinary that one would expect from a well prepared dish. I am certainly not going to be stopping by on any of my other trips down I-80 as this is just a below par offer of Mexican food in the area. If I were to live close to this location, I would make plans to travel east or west to compare the food to many other great restaurants that do offer a higher quality meal. read more

I was passing through on my way to Chicago. I like go into town to eat when ever possible. Usually find something interesting or at least better food. Casa Tequila didn't disappoint. I had the carnitas dinner. Portion was large and included jalapeños, guacamole, pico deguio, rice and beans. The rice and beans were excellent too! All the servers were very friendly and helpful.
