We had takeout and I ate it too quickly to take photos this time. When I went to pick it up it was terribly busy (Friday night though) but good for them. Parking is not ideal though. The quesabirria was sooo good! I don't get this food often but did have one recently in CR at a popular place they serves this dish and I have to say this was way better IMO. I have an allergy to TBHq which can be found in oils. The staff was wonderful! They checked their oils and neither one contained the additive. The margs were tasty and well priced. The menu is pretty standard with something for everyone. I ordered the green chicken enchiladas and it was tasty! The tacos are a bit pricer than others in the area but they are like twice as big. Salsa and chips were great. The service though. OMG. The service is unparalleled. Want another marg? Boom, there in seconds. Need a house made hot sauce? Best believe it will be on your table moments later. Salsa run out? You won't even notice because it will be refilled instantously. Everything I've ever ordered from here is amazing but for me, the standout item is the salsa! It's the very best I've ever had. I think I could drink it! I've been here several times and never been disappointed. The servings are huge, the fajitas easily become three meals for me. The chips and salsa are decent, especially with the hot salsa but not near the top of my favorites list. The real prize are the drinks which definitely never skip on the alcohol, this is a great place to go with some friends at the start of a night out but definitely not somewhere I'd recommend for a nice quiet evening as it always seems to be bustling and pretty loud. read more

Mexican food is one of those types of food in which it is so easy to do it poorly, so easy to be average, and very hard to find a place that is above mediocre. Well, I found a place in my town which rises above mediocrity. Yo soy un happy camper! This used to be Casa Azul and I was very disappointed when they switched to a different restaurant. I had not been there since the switch but was looking forward to it. Of course, anytime one of your favorite restaurants changes you go through the seven stages of grief. When it is your favorite Mexican restaurant I believe you actually go through those stages two or three times. My all-time favorite Mexican dish is choripollo. Most places serve it, very few places serve it well. Typically you find this dish to be saturated in oil and grease. While it is wonderful when you are eating it, 30-45 minutes later, you are regretting your life choices. Oy. Not here! This dish was served perfectly. The chicken and chorizo were just the right combination of tender and slightly crispy. The flavor exploded in your mouth. There was literally a party in my mouth and everyone was invited. The hostess was incredibly friendly and sat us right away. The service was attentive but not stalker overbearing. The price point was perfect. The only reason I give this for instead of five stars is that I felt the choripollo should have been served with a side of refried beans instead of just rice. we are most certainly looking forward to going back again read more

So Peggy and I dropped in the fiesta Mexican restaurant for a quick bite to eat on our way back to Cedar Rapids. Boy, are we glad we did, we forgot how good the food is outstanding real Mexican service was awesome and we unfortunately do not have any pictures but it looked perfect so highly recommended. The staff is more concerned about saving us money, then giving us what we wanted. There's room for improvement with the quality of food, but it was OK Mexican for North Liberty. An absolutely favorite among my friend group, Fiesta is quickly becoming my most common spot to grab a meal! While I don't think it has the ambiance, atmosphere, or flair of some of my favorite spots in the area, Fiesta definitely has an upper hand on the other low cost Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. The house margarita packs a punch for $5 ($3 during Happy Hour) and the classic margarita ($9) comes with a fun shaker that is essentially a free refill. There are actually some decent healthy-ish options here. The burrito bowl is a suped up version of the Chipotle favorite and I have been a big fan of the Taco Salad the two times I've had it. The street tacos are flavorful and large, with carne asada being the star of the group. Free chips and salsa of course (ask for the spicy salsa). Mi amigos love the Choripollo, Quesadilla, and their burrito offerings. There is a lot to explore and I haven't seen anyone be disappointed yet. The menu is large, but not overwhelming, and it keeps me wanting to try new items. Make sure you starting looking at the menu to find what you want instead of focusing only on the chips and salsa when you sit down, because the staff is working at a quick pace (but they also don't rush you, if you need the time). On my most recent trip I had the carnitas and wasn't let down. The meat is flavorful and, as with their other specialty plates, the portions are hearty. They should tell their waiters (1 in particular) to not harass the customers, basically begging, to take shots. (1 in particular name starts with a C) I was in here last week enjoying the food as I have in the past and the group of women with me kept being harassed by a waiter. I was told he rubbed up on a girl who was a minor, being flirtatious when the women said he was being creepy and to top it off he also served a minor a couple shots so that seemed pretty unprofessional from my stand point.
