Carne Azada

The food is pretty good, but the only thing that deters me from going there is the service. One time, the runner who brought my food out, threw my plate down and some of my food fell onto the table and she didn't apologize for it. I also ordered a margarita with my meal and didn't get it until our meal was practically over. So, only expect to speak with your waiter when ordering or paying for your tab.

The sink in the Damas restroom was beautiful.

Freida Cahill decor, large menu with some unusual offerings. My friend and I both got a lunch serving of fajitas. They were delicious and a great value. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant! Overall a very good experience.

see Sept 2025 food insp report. ate there a couple months ago and was charged a 20% automatic gratuity on a table of 4 when according to manager this only applies to tables of 6+and he refused to refund the charge.

BYCO--Beef enchilada, beef burrito, cheese quesadilla, rice, and refried beans.

A solid 3, closer to a 3.5. I ordered this through GrubHub, so the food is likely plated differently in the restaurant. The sauce on the burrito and enchilada was a bit thick for my liking, hence the tomato taste was overpowering. The ground beef was nicely seasoned however. Cheese quesadilla was a bit thick, but otherwise good. The chips/salsa were delicious! Salsa had plenty of zip without being overly spicy.

Great food and really cool decor! The Enchiladas Mole are the best I have tried outside of Oaxaca, Mexico!

The Walmart cups and s&p grinders seemed really odd.

We stopped here for lunch on a Tuesday at 1:30. At first we thought they were closed. Two cars were all that were in the entire parking lot. When we walked inside, we did see one table of two enjoying their food -- but we waited five solid minutes with no one to greet us. We didn't see another soul. We may have left, but my daughter was using the restroom so I was waiting for her and by the time she finally came out someone from the kitchen had come to the front and we were seated. The prices for what you're receiving were outrageous. The flavors were bland. The food didn't look appetizing. Honestly the whole experience was fairly -- meh. We wouldn't stop here again.

Patio delight. All the staples, masked staff. Vamos ahora! Haiku aside I have two tips, ya'll. 1) Breakfast is available for to-go and eat in -- Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 12pm! 2) That patio is fabulous, especially for distancing. There are several patio heaters for the upcoming fall! This particular day... Casa Azul was understaffed maybe? But it was nearly noon on a Sunday-- no refills, nearly an hour wait for food and my food order wasn't my food order. But, I'll chalk it up to a bad day. What can you do. Here's to hoping next time being better Casa Azul!

Complimentary salsa and chips

On site parking. Beautiful interior. Authentic food. Good music. Casa Azul needs more hired help though, so I cannot give it full points this time. We were seated immediately for lunch, but it appeared that there was only one server for two rooms with tables, so we waited. And, waited...about 25 minutes. Fortunately, the server was not harried. Quickly set out house made chips and freshly made salsa. Delicious! My lunch taco salad came in a flour tortilla bowl. The salad was fresh and tasty. My companion had Horchata with his meal. It was very good. Restroom was beautifully painted and black lighted. Clean too. All said, with more help Casa Azul will shine.

Casa Azul Margarita

Hands down the BEST margarita I've ever had. I live in AZ and have them frequently, so this is a big deal!!!!! Order the Casa Azul Margarita- It's a little more then the house margarita but so worth it!!! We didn't eat as we were just killing time between appointments, but asked the kitchen if they would make our favorite snack and they happily obliged. Service is great and location is very convenient.
