This time around, I tried playing around with the sugar level as I found 50% last time to be barely sweet. They add condensed milk to the drink by hand, so I think they aren't that consistent with sweetness. Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Ice, 75% Sweet w/ Boba ($7.25) - This is a really fragrant oolong with plenty of grassy notes. It reminds me of a High Mountain, but when I asked the bobarista she said that it's a Vietnamese Oolong. Quite interesting and very enjoyable flavor. 75% sweet is about the right sweetness for me. The drink otherwise is super thick and rich with a condensed milk that adds a ton of complementary milky flavors and lots of body. It's a great drink. The boba is similarly great. It's excellent, plenty sweetened with basically the perfect bounce and chew. It's a great texture, nothing that I'd change with their recipe. The store wasn't too busy, and the workers were friendly and gave suggestions from the menu. We ended up ordering the taro mash with green tea milk tea, golden boba, burnt cheese foam top (25% sweet) and the honey sweet passionfruit with coconut jelly (100% sweet). We were served quickly. The taro mash drink was great. The sugar level was just enough for the taro to shine through. The cafe uses real taro and you can taste soft chunks of it in the drink. The creaminess of the cheese foam top and the green tea milk tea balanced the drink out well. The honey passionfruit drink was refreshing. The brewed tea flavor was good, and the coconut jellies and passionfruit flavors felt tropical while not being artificial or overly sweet. Would come again when I'm in the area and craving boba!
