insane food. i'm not from the area just passing through on my trip but i saw this on yelp and thought it looked good so went with my mom, and omgg! the portions are huge, service was amazing and food came out super quick. i got the crema skillet burrito, sauce was insanely good, not very spicy but still the flavor was amazing, mom got a chimichanga and that was really good too! the beans in my burrito were so perfectly cooked, as well as the chicken and peppers, same with hers. also the black beans they bring out with the chips and salsa were soooo good too! def would go back if i was in the area again, prices are pretty good for what you get as well! also ofc, it was very cute inside, bar area was adorable but unfortunately i forgot to take a pic

Potato and chorizo tacos

I've been here a few times and really enjoyed it. This visit I got the potato tacos with chorizo and wondered where these have been all my life. So delicious. This is a comfortable restaurant with lots of seating. The service is always good too. One of my favorite things is the queso and chorizo dip appetizer. One of the best things you'll eat.

Assistance + Balance ++ Cleanliness + Deliciousness ++ Environment+ Full review: Service was kind and prompt. The balance of quantity to price was acceptable. Restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was out of this world delicious, we tried chile colorado, blue sliders, nachoes, tacos flan was epic, so good! And some tasty drinks. The environment from the outside looks like just another part of the castle, but on the inside very much villa-esque, the atmosphere something to behold.

Mole enchiladas

The food here is BOMB. I ordered over the phone and my food was ready for pickup in 10 minutes. The mole enchiladas was a flavor explosion; the sauce is to die for. The rice and beans are really good as well but the beans could use a bit more seasoning. The horchata is perfectly balanced - just the right amount of cinnamon and not too sweet. The portions are more than fair and can be split into multiple meals or shared. I'll definitely be back every time I'm in the area.

Arguably one of the best Mexican restaurants in Redding! I was born and raised in Redding and have frequented most, if not all, the Mexican spots in Redding. And I think Casa Rios holds their own amongst the best. What separates them from most other places is their A La Crema Skillet Burrito. I come here almost exclusively for this burrito. A generously sized burrito stuffed with chunks of chicken, rice, beans and smothered in their diablo cream sauce; topped with cilantro and avacado slices. IT'S SIMPLY ORGASMIC IT'LL MAKE YOUR TOES CURL ... you get the point The Diablo cream sauce is hard to describe. It's like a creamy enchilada/chipotle sauce with a little kick, but not overly spicy. WHAT WE LAST ORDERED - A La Crema Skillet Burrito - Quesabirria Tacos - house margarita - kids cheese quesadilla WHAT I LOVED - A La Crema Skillet Burrito The burrito is literally to die for. It'll be the best thing you've put in your mouth in a long time. The quesabirria tacos are also very good. Would highly recommend them The kids quesadilla is standard. Nothing special. Comes with rice and beans Other things I appreciated about this place: - $5 margaritas during happy hour - the delicious side of beans they serve with their chips and salsa. - their chips are thin, fresh, and salty. Honestly perfect table chips. Their salsa is also very good. - they accommodated our party of 13 which was awesome. They typically have smaller tables but had no problem seating us together. I can't find a reason to give them less than a 5 star... so 5 stars it is!

Best Mexican food I have had in a loooooooooooong time! Great atmosphere, generous portions, delicious drinks. The tamales were so moist and stuffed. If you are ever in Redding and wanting Mexican food, go here!

I had a great experience at Casa Rios Grill! The ambiance was nice, it was raining when I went into the restaurant and the staff was nice enough to let me store my umbrella in the corner by the door. Our waitress was personable and had recommendations from the menu. I ordered the Chicken Fajita dish. I was very pleased when I saw the size of the plate and portions. The food was great and they provide free chips and salsa for each table as well as salsa and black beans to dip the chips in. My wife ordered the A La Crema Skillet Burrito and loved it.

A favorite - the cheese enchiladas platter with red sauce

We are back at our favorite upstate Mexican restaurant on Saturday evening and the place is packed. The friendly staff was hustling. We were delighted to find an updated menu with familiar favorites and new choices. Tonight's order includes the classic cheese enchilada platter, a new menu item (A La Crema Skillet Burrito) and churros and ice cream for dessert. Delicious and with leftovers for lunch!!

Wet burrito

I can't say enough wonderful things about Casa Rios Grill! The food is absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and authentic -- but what truly makes this place special is the heart behind it. Abe, the owner, is one of the kindest souls you'll ever meet. He and the amazing staff went above and beyond to make my birthday special, even coming out to sing me Happy Birthday personally with the crew. It was such a sweet and unexpected gesture that really meant a lot. On top of that, today they hosted a fundraiser event and donated half the proceeds to help with our friend's funeral expenses. That's not just good business -- that's good people. If you're looking for great food and even better company, Casa Rios Grill is where you want to be. Support this gem of a local spot. They pour love into everything they do.

Pretty good food! If you buy a drink, likely it will be a short pour and difficult if any alcohol was added!!

The entrance was a bit tough to recognize. In addition, the sign requesting patrons to wait to be seated was absent personnel. The youngster arrived while on the phone taking a reservation. Further delay as she coordinated seating for the large group (showing up on Wednesday, she shared). She mentioned they were slow and said I could select whatever table I liked. I ordered a savory martini and filet mignon, mashed potatoes and French onion soup. Soup arrived with the martini and the two could not have been more oppositely received. The soup exquisite, the martini...nearly undrinkable. But to be fair, I wasn't expecting an overwhelming bell pepper flavor. Black pepper Absolute Vodka was the description. I detest bell peppers. I tried to choke down as much as I could, then decided to give up halfway through. The soup was sublime. A 1/4 inch slice of brown toast under the melted Swiss cheese, the broth and onions delicious. I requested a 6 ounce pour of the Caymus California Cabernet Sauvignon with the steak. It arrived with my meat and potatoes beautifully plated. I'm not sure I wasn't served a sirloin. That filet was the shape of no filet I've ever bought or been served. But it was perfectly cooked and the mashed potatoes were sublime - buttery and flavorful. The wine with less tannins than I anticipated- I really enjoyed that. Service was attentive and both the hostess and my server checked on me. My drive back to Sacramento will be pleasant.

Mac and cheese with bacon, French onion soup and the surf & turf skewers. French onion Soup was DELICIOUS, we added a little salt to the other two dishes and they were really good too. For dinner I ordered the $24 Caesar - it was good and it was big but it was a lot for a basic good tasting Caesar. Husband ordered the Chicken Parm over pasta with a red sauce and he loved it. Portion was huge and he brought half home. For dessert we had the cheesecake and the cream brûlée, both really good. Only downside, if you are dropping almost $200 for dinner, the bathrooms need to be clean and upscale. Mold in the ladies room toilet at the waterline - yuck - and Toilet paper dispenser broken and laying on the floor in the stall. This needs improvement. Overall we were happy with our meal and we will be back.

We were welcomed by Lindsey and a couple regular customers. It's a cute little place with a small, but mighty selection of wines personally picked out by the owners. I loved to hear how they travel around California and Oregon looking for new wine options. I was able to sip before committing, which is always appreciated. My husband is more of a beer drinker, and again a small selection, but nice choices for those non wine drinkers. If you need a pick me up, they also had locally roasted coffee. They do have some little snacks as well. We had such a nice experience that we went back the next day. Lindsey gave us some great recommendations for trails and for a nice dinner in Mt. Shasta. We ended up using most of her recommendations - all which were great! If you are looking for great wine and service, this is definitely the spot. We will definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Plating is always nice. Many wines by the glass. Very good service and friendly staff and owners. Mount Shasta is fortunate to have many good restaurants. This one is a little more expensive than the others on main street. If you want a burger, go to one of the other places. If you are looking for an elevated meal in an unpretentious environment check out Baldovinos. This is the best place in town and I would put them up against the top restaurants in big cities. And, if you are from one of those big cities you will think the prices are low. Secret - not on their website as of writing this review. Shasta, CA…read more We had an excellent Sunday brunch at Baldovino's Wine Bar & Kitchen, and it was exactly the kind of relaxed, elevated meal you hope for. The restaurant has a stylish, cozy vibe--dark walls with beautiful local artwork. The Sunday brunch menu is thoughtfully curated with a nice mix of savory and sweet options, all sounding fresh and seasonal. We started with a bottle of Campo dei Sassi Prosecco (extra dry, Treviso) and with pomegranate and orange juice mimosas. The Prosecco was crisp, bubbly, and perfect for brunch--light enough to pair with everything without being too sweet. For the main event, I went for the daily special: Crab Cake Benedict. It was outstanding. Two perfectly poached eggs sat atop a crispy crab cake and thick cut sourdough covered in a rich, glossy hollandaise sauce with capers. The herb-roasted potatoes on the side were golden and perfectly seasoned--crispy on the outside, fluffy inside. The dish was beautifully plated with microgreens and herbs, and it tasted every bit as good as it looked. My husband ordered the Cubano (also a special), which came as a pressed, golden-toasted sandwich loaded with ham, melted cheese, and a perfectly lightly fried egg on excellent local sourdough-style bread. It was served with more of those fantastic herb potatoes and looked incredibly satisfying--crispy, gooey, and classic with a brunch twist. Portions were generous, the service felt attentive and warm, and everything came out hot and fresh. The menu also had tempting options like Tomato Basil Mozzarella Scramble, Chive Biscuit & Sausage Gravy, Avocado Toast, Croque Monsieur, and sweets like French Toast and Dutch Baby--plenty to choose from for future visits. Overall, Baldovino's delivers a high-quality, flavorful brunch in a charming setting. The food is creative without being fussy, the drinks hit the spot, and the whole experience feels special yet comfortable. Highly recommend if you're in Mt. Shasta--perfect for a leisurely Sunday brunch meal with a glass (or bottle) of something bubbly. We'll definitely be back!
