Sadly this place did not meet expectations. It's on a main road in town so I thought it would be better the lack of cars in the parking lot should have told me. Chips were chewy and stale. And excuse me!!! $8.99 for a small cup of queso?! What!! Also $4.25 for a tea or Coke with no refills. The beef enchiladas barely had any meat in it the chicken enchiladas had two pieces of white breast and neither had flavor....no flavor the salsa taste just like tomatoes had no flavor at all all the portions were small, the rice was waxy it just was not good. The street tacos the barbacoa one I got was nothing but fat and onions. The al pastor was all pineapple and hardly any meat. Lots of seating and bar area and plenty of parking. Not especially cheap either and the tea I asked for two different ice teas because you could see right through it and it tastes like water and both of them were the exact same. Server did not come back very often and didn't seem to understand what I was requesting when I asked for more salsa or a replacement tea. I definitely won't be back and I hate to say that. The ambience is so so there was no one there so it's hard to gauge. Call this for a cool $70 for two people for lunch. Not a fan. read more

This spot was an above average Mexican joint! However, the vegetarian portion of the menu set them apart! You don't see this often. This has been our "go to" Mexican Restaurant for years now. Our favorite it the Mega Chimichanga! Served with rice, beans, and salad, you won't go home hungry! Mexican is one of my favorite foods. This was my third visit to this restaurant and I have been disappointed every time. Once I sat for 15 minutes and then walked out without being waited on, the second was for a birthday lunch and half the food was cold. Today was Margarita day so we thought we would stop by and get a quick drink. Well it was anything but quick. It took quite some time to get waited on and when I received my Margarita on the rocks it had a brown tint to it. Tequila is golf or white. How did I get a brown Margarita? But then seated us without, so I reminded her again and she said she would get it right away - no high chair. My husband asked the server who came for our drink order. Drinks came - still no high chair. My husband finally got it and got it himself. Everyone (6 of us) in our party ordered pop except me (just water). Everyone got their drinks except me. I had to ask the server 4 times and finally got it after our food came out. The food took FOREVER to come out. And the place was only like 1/4 full, so the long waits and poor service wasn't because they were super full. Several meals were hardly warm when they came out. But we waited so long for it, everyone just ate it anyhow. My food was a combo platter and I was fortunate it came out hot, but it was mediocre at best. Nobody cared much for their food. This is garbage, Mexican food. They have turned this place into a disgrace. And the service and cook staff could not care where the heck is the management here! The staff is so poor they do and make what they want, they make what they want, WTH. For the past year in 3 visits they have failed to get 1 order correct or tasting good. Pretty decent Mexican fare. The chips are delicious! My favorite is the vegetable quesadilla- delicious! The portions are huge and the margaritas are great. I've eaten here several times and the food and service are both consistent. You never wait for refills on chips and salsa and orders out come out of the kitchen promptly. Friend took me out to this place as a late birthday present. Chips served free of charge. Which was good, because by themselves they are absolutely nothing to write home about. The salsa was pretty good, and on some organic, seasoned, blue-corn chips, it would've been a winning combo. Enough of that. Got the shrimp fajitas, served with the usual condiments, rice, and re-fried beans. They are good, but I can safely say that Tia Helitas has better re-fried beans and rice. Update.....service has far improved since my last post. They are prompt to seat you and take your order the last couples times I've gone. Their tamales and hard shell beef tacos are the absolute BEST, of any local Mexican restaurant. My dining partner claims the fajitas are ALWAYS outstanding as well! 3/19/18 Sunday Took my mom to dinner for "Mexican food". The first thing served was chips and salsa, or what they called salsa. It was nothing more than pulverized tomatoes with a few pieces of onion and cilantro in it. My mom ordered chicken tacos which were served to her dry; no sour cream, no sauce of any kind. When she asked if there was something she could put on the tacos to make them more palatable (the chicken was not marinated) she was told that they had hot sauce, period. My mom does not use hot sauce. I ordered a chicken taco salad. Again, the chicken was not marinated and the whole thing was watery because the lettuce wasn't drained well enough. When I asked about the chicken, the waitress said "oh, you would get flavored chicken in the fajita taco salad". Clearly this was info I could've used before ordering. Our waitress was scarce in spite of the place not being busy. She came to our table only once after we got our food and that was right after. We weren't offered any drink refills. As if all this wasn't bad enough, another employee came by with a cleanup cart full of dirty dishes and garbage food while my mom and I were sitting there still munching chips and our drinks post meal. She wanted to clear the table before we were finished. Our experience overall was terrible and I will never be back there. read more

On a Friday night! There open sign was on and their hours said they close at 10 , so when I walked in at 9:12 I fully expected to be served, offered a seat at a table or at least a bar. That is not what happened I was told that the dining room closes at 9 pm however they still did takeout and takeout alcoholic beverages. When I asked about the a seat at the bar I was refused and again offered a takeout option. Either you should lock your doors at night or at least place a sign on your door letting them know that after 9 pm your doors are only open to takeout only (which there are none as of this review)!! I feel like my time was wasted and I won't be coming back anymore and I will make sure I tell all of my friends and coworkers not to patronize with you anymore as well! The food extremely good tonight during our visit. After having the poorest Mexican meal that we have ever experienced a few nights ago, my wife and I were determined to experience some good Mexican food before our week long vacation officially ended. We found it here. I ordered a wonderful chicken/chorizo combination with exactly the right amount of taste. My wife enjoyed her seafood and tortilla dish and my step son inhaled his steak burrito stating that it was very good as well. We all agreed the chips and salsa were enjoyable and the waitress just kept bringing us more to enjoy... We have eaten here a few times and found the experience enjoyable and the food reliable. This place is disgusting. The outside of the restaurant is full of weeds to the point it looks like an abandoned establishment. I should have known and turned back then and there. The quacamole is processed and tasted horrible. We sent it back. The service was slow and the waitress was stressed and not fun to be around. The fajitas were overcooked and flavorless. I don't know how the food is, but the seating process is horrible. I went there with my two children on Friday night. We arrived about 6pm, expecting a wait. We were told 15-20 minutes, no problem. Others were waiting before us. A party of four was seated. A few more people came in. Then a party of three (2 adults and 1 child) came in. The hostess told them about the same time as us. Then someone else (looked like server) came in and asked if they were a party of three and seated them. By this point the waiting area was completely full and she didn't ask any of the rest of us about the size of our parties. We had all been waiting longer than the three that just seated. She didn't even seem to realize there was a list. When the original hostess came back, I told her to take my name off the list we were leaving! Great first impression! read more

This use to be my favorite place to go for Mexican food and especially the margaritas. But recently the service has gone down and I must say I am definitely a regular at least 3 times a week. I am not sure because I am such a regular I get pushed to the back burner with some of the servers. The service tend to be hit or miss here, it depends on who is working. And I would think because I'm a regular I would get better service but unfortunately, that not the case at all. If you order a drink and not happy with it you are stuck with it.
