Good food, excellent salsa, odd service... 6 employees working on the floor (serving/cash register)and about 6 couples eating divver. Yet took 15 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. Waitress eating at the service (water/chips/salsa) area (she ignored us). Several waitresses brought in Dominos pizza and sat behind us even though we were the only customers in our area. We usually go here weekly for lunch and sit in the bar. Today wasn't our usual waitress ( We were told she was no longer there). Anyway, today we had a gal named Cristi. We were 1 of 3 tables so, it wasn't that busy. Even though it wasn't busy it seemed that the waitress couldn't handle it. Our drinks were week at best. We asked for water 2 times from the moment we sat down and the water never came so we finally went up to the bar and another gal got us water. We were never asked how our meal was or if we needed another drink and in fact the only time our waitress came back to the table was to deliver our check. WHY THE LOW RATING?? what the hell is going on? This place was very good. Plenty of parking on the outside and pretty festive decorated inside with lots of seating. Once you walk in, you are greeted with a warm welcome from the host. The service is excellent. Food is yum! We had enchiladas and this chicken and shrimp dish. Everything here is pretty damn good. Even their salsa is good..that is how I know if they are good, it has to start with the salsa, and they were on point here. Great for kids! read more

A while back I was here with my family. The food was great! The staff not so much. As we were preparing to leave, a bus boy or kitchen staff (not sure what this kid does) was EXTREMELY rude. We caught his name "Jack" or "Jackson". As we were leaving, he yelled at us about our daughter (who is only 5) dropping a bit of food on the floor... SHES FIVE YEARS OLD. My boyfriend and I decided to stop in, have a drink and an appetizer sunday around 4pm. It seemed busy but there was plenty of open tables we sat ourselves in the bar. I had to ask the buser to wipe our table which was clearly dirty after he put down chips and menus. Our server was nice, she brought my boyfriends beer and told me it would be a minute for my pomegranate drink. Well after 30min they brought out our appetizers and still no drink. It was sitting at the bar and no one decided to bring it to me? As a bartender myself i would have ran it to the table if the server was to busy. Teamwork anyone? It's always something here! Most of the time you can count on bad service and the wrong food. When you point on the wrong food, don't expect an apology or quick turnaround. Found this place while out of town with the family. We thought it was a local place until I sat down and saw the Azteca menu. Absolutely the worst meal I have ever had in my 43 years of life. Service was horrible. I ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was so chewy and tough I could not eat ANY of it. Absolutely awful. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos and ate 1 of 3 of them. No flavor. We will never eat here again. The waiter did not even ask us why my fajitas had not been touched. Overpriced for what you get. Seems less now than 5 years ago. It's just horrible American Mexican food with terrible flavors. Don't expect good service either if you're traveling through north or south just keep going don't stop better options in Olympia or Portland. read more

Moved to Centralia 6 months ago 09-2016. Now 04-2018 and this is still our go-to Mexican restaurant. Melissa has moved on but Hanna and Kelly are equal in service in bar/eating area and have remembered us since our 2nd visit and she knows our desires such as extra salsa with chips. The food is always well prepared and hot when served. Lots of meat in their entrees. Good place to eat. Rating would be a 5 star but I never give 5 star because any place may have a need to improve or at least needs to be "on their toes". read more

Poor customer service, Ramone (the manager) was shooting the shit with all around, that was already served rather than taking our orders which brings the company money. Talking, out loud for all to hear, personal, sleeping situations with another co-worker. The moment I realized that Casa Ramos was either a descendant or stealth member of the aged Azteca chain, I grew concerned - rightly. From the moment that chips arrived with what appeared to be a salsa based in a low-grade marinara sauce I experienced a meal based in 1980's dumbed down and badly americanized pseudo-mexican cuisine. From a watery mole sauce to refried beans topped with american "cheese food" and chicken with the texture of twice-boiled over-thick holster leather the meal failed to impress. The items closest to expectation were the churro's (served with a dissonant scoop of crystallized vanilla ice cream complete with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry...and the glass of water. I'd categorize this as a "fuel stop" rather than a culinary experience, and score it two stars based on friendly and perky service. I can only hope your mileage varies. read more

Love this restaurant!!! The Owner is often seen greeting customers at their tables and even taking their orders and serving them. I have been to this restaurant probably 50 times in the past 12 years and have ALWAYS had exceptional service and food. I cannot day one negative thing about my experiences here at this restaurant. As others have mentioned, I didn't know this was an Azteca until I sat down. The salsa wasn't fresh, it comes from a can. It had a very sharp metallic taste. The food was freshly cooked, but incredibly bland. And that comes from someone not known for eating spicy food! I had a chicken enchilada that made me think of the boiled chicken my mom used to make for chicken and dumplings. I also had a tamale that seemed to be made of cornbread mix rather than Mexican masa. The rancho beans were heavy on salt, but no other spices seemed to have been used. Skip this place and go further down the street to La Tarasca. read more

I am baffled to see anything BUT 5 start reviews on this Yelp page. I have been going to Casa Ramos for about 15 years now, and I go a couple times a month.. And have received nothing but wonderful customer service. The food is always so yummy and very consistent in taste, which I appreciate. Their fajitas are top notch - haven't found another Mexican restaurant who can top them! Best margaritas in town! The restaurant is newly remodeled and the atmosphere is wonderful...
