Love their breakfast burrito; only problem I have with them is that they're big enough to have half for breakfast the first day, then have the second half the next morning yet somehow I end up eating the whole thing at one sitting. I have no willpower when it comes to their food! read more

I think I need to go back and order a plate of some sort with a different meat choice. The steak was very fatty , only lightly seasoned and barely there for the price. That was the skimpiest Torta I've had in a long time for the price. The red sauce is a five star it's delicious now I just need to find something amazing to eat it on . Burrito was better than the Torta I guess the husband gave it a "7 out of 10" . I look forward to trying again and updating review. The lady working the drive through was extremely nice she was a five star . read more

Food is excellent. I've been going there for years. The food service and atmosphere are all great

My boss recommended me to check out this place on my way down to Vancouver, WA for a work conference. I don't know why I am surprised that this restaurant serves (very) authentic Mexican food... but I am! I guess I just did not expect that of all places, Centralia would have anything remotely close to anything like this. I don't even know what I am even saying anymore. I ordered the Tacos, Enchiladas, and Flautas combo and complimentary fried jalapeños and grilled onions (you just have to ask when you place your order!). Everything was so on point and the jalapeños were actually legit spicy! My team members really seemed to enjoy their food as well. Service was good and fast and the ambiance was okay! The prices were very reasonable and they had so many different menu items. If I ever come through here again in the future, I will revisit to try their soups next time. read more

You get to know a restaurant after you've been there a dozen times or so. Every time we go there, the service is terrific and they're happy to see us. Now, let's get to the quality of the food: well prepared, great seasoning, and tortillas to die for. They really take pride in the quality of their food and it shows. It's a very simple restaurant and a little bit cold & loud, but it's a fun place to hang out and have a great Mexican dinner. read more

I've been eating here religiously for 13+ years. Tacos el Rey has really ruined most mexican take out places for me - the flavors are so amazingly on point. The pastor is SO GOOD, so flavorful. My favorite is their carne asada - it's so flavorful and not just grilled meat. in my hundreds of orders they've never gotten my order wrong, once. it's also really cute to have seen the owners kids grow up while they've worked there. such a lovely, humble place that i'll cherish forever lol. read more

Excellent food, it's the real deal. Authentic Mexican food , not American iced Mexican food. Something I was told by a Hispanic friend years ago was to look at the clientele. If Hispanics eat there, it's the real deal. She was right! read more

Ordered 8 tacos and they took an hour to come out due to the fact they had completely forgot about us at the drive through. I understand it was busy but I've never been forgotten about in a drive through of all places before. Do better read more

This is by far the nastiest, Mexican food, I've eaten in Lewis County. The beans were burnt you can even see black pieces charred inside of the beans I asked for polo asado and I got shredded chicken The food was so bland. This is by far the worst Mexican food I've eaten in a long time. I'll never come back to this place. read more

Horrible second time I had a horrible greasy burrito now a burnt disgusting tasting Asada Torta. I have been going here for years but the food is terrible now. Never again. read more

best customer service from fernando super nice , excellent burritos it was super tasty and

Their tortillas are made in-house which makes their tacos exceptional. Large indoor dining space and plenty of parking. Also offers drive thru ordering but I have not tried it. Front cashier service is below expectations - not very friendly. read more

Wife and I have been coming here for more than 14 years and the quality and service is the same. We order the same damn thing every time and it is exactly as good as it was for the first time. The pastor and asada are amazing, and when we saw they served birria we weren't surprised that it's amazing. read more

Only giving this a 4 star because the fish taco was sub par. Not bad by any means but just didn't have that Je ne sais quoi. Fried jalapeño was spicy, YUM. I used the corn tortillas I got with I believe the Chile, for the side or rice and beans with salsas, yum. They have a generous bag of limes and radishes which I loved. Will be coming back. read more

Taco's El Rey - Mexican Near Me - Centralia, Washington

Love this place! Always friendly staff, and the best Mexican food in town. My favorite spot to share with friends.

I love this place. It was my go to since the pandemic. The marrow and tongue tacos are my favorite beside the fish.

The tacos are awesome. I got that big pan with like 60 tacos. Man me and the homies crushed ever single one. We ran out of like but it's okay my other homie went to Safeway. Anyways this spot is worth it. Authentic And the service was awesome read more

So this is place you've been looking for. Authentic Mexican food. No frills Mexican restaurant. Also sells some beer. I tried the quesabirria taco and a carnitas burrito. Salsas we're great too. Go to Mexico a lot and came from living in California for years. The menu will seem different to you if you're not used to real Mexican food. This Mexican will be back to eat here. read more

My kids and I give it 5 stars! Everything was delicious. Well seasoned meats and excellent service - kind and prompt. The homemade tortillas put it over the top. Yum! read more

Highly recommended by local people, so we tried it. We would not have gone in, based on the outside appearance. There is an extensive menu with many meat choices. We had to draw attention to no clean tables. The employee asked which table we wanted to sit at. We showed her; and that is the only table she wiped. The food was outstanding! Full of flavor and delivered quickly. We will return! read more

Have been eating here for years. My stepdad brought me when it was still just the bus! I love this place above everything else Lewis county has to offer, and would gladly eat here every day. Excellent food at a great price and a huge assortment of beverages. Almost always soccer on the television which I really enjoy. The service is also always very good. Highly recommend! read more

Taco's El Rey - Regular Torta and Wet Burrito (requested two sauces) - Mexican Near Me - Centralia, Washington

Love love love Taco's El Rey. They have what I crave for all the time and more. Quesotaco with Birria, empanada (Al pastor), Carne Asada, their burritos, Carne Asada Fries is all a must haves. Their rice (arroz) on the other hand taste different from what I've had before tho. It taste like it was one of those packed Goya rice or rice with knor chicken bouillon with tomate. It doesn't give you the authentic homemade rice that I enjoy. But everything else is yummy. If my body can handle it I would come here 3 times a week. read more

The restaurant isn't much to look at, but the food is consistently very good. I like the tacos and the wet burrito. I attend a a chess club meeting in Centralia on Monday nights. Taco El Rey is my go to place for a pre-chess dinner. The lingua is particularly good, not the overcooked little eraser bits often found at food trucks. read more

I was really excited to try this place because it got four stars but we were both disappointed. The tacos were sub par in flavor, the carne asada was tough and lacking in seasoning, the service was ok but to get food in us it did it's job. Definitely on the pricey side for tacos and when asked for the tacos "to go" it was all rolled into one aluminum foil wrap, no plate no nothing. If you've had tacos outside of the centralia, chehalis and rochester area this place will leave you frustrated and broke. $22 For our meal altogether. read more

Map an easier exit from the Nike traffic Outlets nightmare and steer clear of the fast food highway and you'll be blessed with a small town cafe,Taco's El Rey in the older part of town, with easy access to the newer freeway ramp back to I5. $2 for a bean and cheese stuffed burrito 4x the canned filling of your normal 99c TBell thrill. Wet burrito with filling of choice, ours carne asada, was packed full of rice and meat for $5 and change. Unsure if the granular cheese topping was shake can parm or an unfamiliar hispanic variety but would skip that next time. Fresh red and green bottled salsas are kept cool in the fridge next to counter so be sure to ask. Platos offerings $10. Destination stop along with the Outlets next I5 run. read more

Taco's El Rey - Small quesadilla! What a joke! - Mexican Near Me - Centralia, Washington

Sorry. I stopped by to try this place out and get a burrito to go. The youngsters at the counter practically demanded a tip in advance and copped an attitude when I did not respond. I had never been there or tasted their food before. I won't be returning for both reasons, arrogance and less than flavorful food. read more

Very fresh ingredients. Tasty tacos. Friendly staff person took our orders at counter.

This place slaps. I had the California Burrito - it contained some of the best carnitas I've ever had. On par with anything in the state and comparable to a lot of places actually located in its namesake in terms of how juicy and tender the pork was, with some nice crispy bits mixed in. The salsas were great, if a little lacking in variety. A nice kick with a lot of onion and garlic flavors layered in. All-in-all it was some fantastic food at a reasonable price. read more

I just found this place by my home and They have great authentic food everywhere else that has horchata has tasted very artificial but theirs was great and good horchata is hard to find. Food was great. Service was good. The ambiance was good. Taco's el ray is a great restaurant

Excellent, authentic Mexican food! I am getting more and more convinced that Centralia may be the best place to go for this kind of food! I have been to three Mexican restaurants in this town now and all of them have been excellent! I have been here twice now and both times the food was wonderful! The Asada tacos are tasty and infectious! The last time I was here I got the Super Burrito which was so big and so good! Other notable mentions go to the Carnitas as well! Simply wonderful tasting Mexican food! The place may look a little rough going into as the outside windows are boarded because they are damaged and cracked but do not let that be a deterrent for going in here. Some of the best restaurants out there are not the showy ones! On the inside the place is nice and clean with good, friendly service! Really some good eats here! read more
