This experience was much like their other restaurant Villa Savieros, excellent! No complaints, good service and good food.

The ambience and service are still really good. However the quality of food is not the same anymore. We ordered octopus on the grill and it was cooked well but really salty. Then we ordered Chiles en Nogada and they were served cold (the meat fill was too sweet) and the Chiles really small. I don't recommend the Chiles en nogada here. To close we order paella on the center, and the plate came again room temperature not hot. And more chicken bones than meat. Not sabrán dos out at all. We had a party of 4. The best of the night were the desserts and they have really good cappuccino. Hope they can increase the food quality. read more

We had a great time here for taco tuesday!! We shared so many tapas and all were delicious. The ambiance was great and everyone was extremely nice. We unfortunately do not know much Spanish but lucky for us the manager did and was able to help us out!! We ate and ate and had delicious mules (probabaly the best I ever had... it had fresh ground ginger in it!! Delicious!!) I also enjoyed some vino which was equally delicious. This was an extremely nice and tasty resturaunt and being that the dollar is worth more than the peso... we ate and drank for very little! Please go check them out! read more

This place is conveniently located in the heart of the gastronomic district of the city. In one of the small steers perpendicular to the Two Towers. Very easy to get in and out of it. Valet parking is available. Had dinner here last night at The Tasca above the restaurant last night on one of the private rooms. We had a group of twenty two people. We were comfortably seated. The tapas were very tasty the wine and liquor selection was extensive and reasonable priced. The food was delicious, well presented and cooked to perfection. We were all served at the same time both for our entrees as well as our main courses. The accommodated us and split the check by couple avoiding the inconvenience to have to figure out what we each were being charged. Highly recommended. This was one of the best restaurants in Tijuana. Ambiance was amazing. The place is packed. Live music downstairs and fine dining upstairs. Wine was amazing and drinks to start fabulous. This place is jumping and there's a good reason why - the food is incredible. I had a Greek Salad to start and the rest of our table had the famous Caesar salad. My husband and our friend had the Mexican steak and said it was perfectly cooked. I had the seafood skillet which was white fish, muscles, octopus and shrimp . It was excellent. Our other friend had the trout which was divine. We will definitely be coming back next time we go to Mexico. We ended our dinner with a delicious birthday flan. One of the best I've ever had. This restaurants has a wonderful varied menu, definitely in the top ten restaurant in Tijuana. I can't move beyond their savory Spanish stews. They have options of stews. You will not be disappointed with bowl full of slow cooked vegetables, meats, sausages in hardy broth. I haven't gotten pass the stews in the menu. However my date was delighted with their lamb chops. The service is relaxed and attentive. The restaurant has large space with various rooms for private parties. I was in the area and decided to try this place. It's right across the street from The Grand Hotel. I guess it's part of the same family as Romesco in Bonita CA (One of my favorite places in the South Bay area). I ordered the Paella which came with the soup or salad. I have to say the salad was so delicious. I don't usually finish it but this time I did. Everything was excellent, my server Osvaldo was outstanding! I absolutely recommend this place. Two glasses of Cabernet, paella, and 20 percent tip $31 dollars total. I Uber back to the border for about 6 dollars. I am going back in 3 weeks, I can't wait to try something different. read more

Enjoyed a fine meal here recently-- good sangria, pretty good arrachera (not enough chimichurri), excellent jamon serrano, very tasty garlic octopus, the soups were full of flavor and the desserts were perfect (particularly the chocolate mousse with banana ice cream). Our waiter was attentive and helpful without bugging us. After our meal, outside the restaurant, there were two beggars harassing clients for money and then yelling obscenities at ladies, and unfortunately the parking lot valet/guard was chatting with them but not doing anything. This left a bad aftertaste. Hopefully the managers will remind the guard to intervene when beggars are harassing restaurant clients. read more

The service was great and we found the price inexpensive for the quality of the food. We had 3 glasses of wine, mignottes, parrillada, cheese tray, and one dessert for a total of 62.00 dollars. This place is known for its meat (beef), but don't let that be your only option. I have visited this place several times, and it never has disappointed me. I was just there for Mothers Day and the food was outstanding. The service was top-notch. We started with the "gambas al ajillo" (mushrooms with garlic). It was so good, that we dipped our bread with the leftover sauce. Then for my entrée I had the beef medallions. It was perfectly cooked and the flavors were spot on. This is a Spanish Baja Med mix, great selection of dishes. Has an upstairs bar for Tapas and watching the Soccer and Bullfights. We sat downstairs, ordered the Grilled Octopus, it was a small portion but was good. Our group ordered the Salt Covered Trout and the Beef Cheek Tacos. The Fish was excellent and loved the presentation when they take away the salt crust. But looks like the star of the show were the Beef Cheek tacos, since they ordered a second portion. There is nothing really bad about this place. In fact, the ambiance and service were terrific. I sat upstairs at the bar. I speak broken Spanish and the staff were cordial and helped me with translations. The food unfortunately was a let down. I ordered the pulpo (octopus) starter The dish had a bit too much vinegar for my liking. I then had the salt crusted trout for an entree. Although the presentation was fantastic with a table-side cleaning and deboning, the fish itself was so/so. Like I said, nothing too bad, but Tijuana is a foodie town with better options. read more
