Very disappointed. We've celebrated our anniversary today at CP! Cocktails and wine we choose were good. But the food!!!! So disappointed! But we enjoyed the pumpkin soup BUT our main dishes were a big disappointment! My husband had the branzino which was very salty and I had the Campanella al tartufo (pasta with black truffle) - the dish was not what you should expected, the truffle were just blend, no taste, the noodles were a bit overcooked. This was a very disappointing dinner as it was our anniversary. We ordered tiramisu which was ok, but I think all over, I don't think we will come back again. We've been 4 times at this restaurant always given it a chance but now I don't want to go back.! read more

This is my 2nd time here. Both times food was horrible. The staff that helped us was awesome! The food was just not there at all. Steak was cooked extremely rare when asked for medium. Bread basket was fresh and tasty. The sausage and peppers was very spicy, I would not order that again. Cheese board was perfect. The bill came and there were items that the staff added that we never ordered. Not sure why they were added. That was not a mistake even though they said it was. I will not be dining in here ever again. Please look closely at your bill when they hand it to you. read more

This business is a joke. I can't wait till they close. 2+ hours on a waitlist. The most worthless staff I ever experienced EVER in the world. read more

Food is always delicious. I love the scallops when they have them. The bread basket is sooo good. It's hard not to be full just eating it. The staff is outstanding. Wendy is the best server in town. They are lucky to have her!!! And the ambiance is exceptional. The outdoor space with fireplace is my favorite. But the inside bar area is quaint and the dining rooms are elegant. My husband is obsessed with the Rigatoni spicy palomino. He literally could go there everyday to eat it. It's so good! read more

This has to be one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to, everything from the bread, to the drinks, to the desserts was absolutely to die for. The service was also one of the best I have ever experienced, our waiter and our bus boy were wonderful and we shared many laughs and stories. The ambiance is classy and chill and very nice for a date nights, family, and group outings! This place is a must try. read more

Best dining experience I've had in a long time. We lucked out and got a table without a reservation during peak dinner hour on a Saturday. The server Charlotte was fantastic and helped us have a memorable meal. All the pastas are outstanding so is the crunchy salad. Loved the spicy rigatoni and bolognese. Felt like we were back in Italy! 10/10 will definitely be back! Thank you again Charlotte for being so great. read more

We enjoyed an incredible "date night" at Casa Peroi tonight. Everything , from the moment we were greeted by our lovely, gracious hostess, was spectacular. We loved the Charred Octopus appetizer, our Caesar salad with white anchovies, and our entrees. The Branzino was indescribably delicious!!! You have to just try it!!!! Definitely a nice special occasion spot. read more

Food was delicious but our waiter Anthony told a joke in very poor taste, referring to anal sex and I thought it was very inappropriate. Something to the effect of "if you went camping and you came back with a sore anus, would you tell anyone?" I went along with the joke & said "no" & he replied "you wanna go camping'?" He found it amusing, but we didn't. Great waiter, but very immature. read more

Casa has become my favorite Steak place! I have taken business guests here twice in the last few weeks, and everyone loved the food and the service. Best breadbasket in town, best NY Strip, and several amazing pasta options. It's difficult, but try to save room for desert the pistachio think is crazy good! read more

Excellent service and delicious cuisine! Service, ambiance, and cuisine were far above average!

one of my favorite Italian restaurants and Jeremy was awesome!! i wish they can bring back the hazelnut dessert or the pistachio cake !!

Amazing menu, both food and wine...really impressed with the service. Another winner in Birmingham.

I try to stray from the Birmingham area just because of the prices but my daughter treated me to a nice birthday dinner here this recent Saturday night. The restaurant was really packed and it took the server almost 40 minutes just to check on me. Thankfully one of the workers their Kevin was very attentive and brought out all of our foods and drinks, and was just such a wonderful and pleasant person to talk too, the food was good and the dessert was incredible! Thank you Kevin, you rule! read more

Just the kind of place you would expect in Birmingham. The atmosphere is bright and airy. The service is dead on. Great selection of cocktails and wine for all tastes. We had some wonderful oysters and the baked cauliflower as starters. Both were excellent. The Branzino and steaks were outstanding and cooked to perfection. For desert, you can't go wrong with the olive oil cake, sorbet and mousse. All in all this is a can't miss restaurant. Great for business, dates, special occasions or a casual dinner with friends. read more

Our waitress Charlotte was absolutely amazing !! The food was so good I highly recommend it !! read more

Was excited about this place Bc we heard the owner is Abruzzese (same region in Italy) like us (my mom is full). Location is great, nice ambiance, beautiful plating and nice cocktails. I had their mule which was pretty refreshing and loved that it had fresh rosemary in it. Hostess was super friendly and prices were very reasonable. The food and service w the waitress unfortunately was a total miss. We were so hungry when we arrived and I def ate it all it's just that it was extremely salty but I was so hungry. We had the salmon and the tagliatelle. The waitress was meh not very attentive or thoughtful. I was hoping for a little more on my bday. read more

Everything was delicious, Especially the pasta! The atmosphere outside with the fireplace gave a great vibe.

Ate outside. Lovely setting on a warm night. Server must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed...she had a bit of an attitude...but relaxed later. We were three couples. Ate a variety of dishes. I had branzino. Mostly very good, but nothing outstanding (except the bill). Nice mid-priced Italian wine. read more

We love this restaurant!! Had dinner tonight- buratta, salad, pasta, salmon, olive oil cake- all absolutely amazing. Every course was delicious. Great outdoor seating, nice indoors, intimate bar area. Love it all, great birthday dinner. Can't wait to come back. read more

The food was very good. Entrees are all served ala carte. Bread basket was fantastic. Negative was the 4% processing fee for credit AND debit cards. At these prices, it's very off putting. Not to mention the credit card companies do not charge 4% to process, usually it's 1.5% to 2.5%. In other words, the restaurant is making money off of its customers whom use a credit or debit card. For this reason and only this reason I may not return. read more

Food is great, happy hour is also great. John will give you a 10/10 experience. Hostess's are very rude. Restaurant had maybe 5 tables at 4pm and she acted as if our presence was inconvenient and unwanted. read more

Worst experience ever. Hostess couldn't find my reservation, and then proceeded to blame me and give me attitude after she found it. We then were seated on the patio while every table had a heater next to theirs but ours. Freezing. We asked the waiter for a heater, but all the other ones didn't work so we were left waiting over an hour in the cold for our food. Food was very mid, not worth the price at all. Ceasar salad had no dressing, was basically just romaine lettuce. "Crispy" potatoes were not crispy at all. Pasta was alright, but that's what I expect from an Italian restaurant at the very least. 0/10 would not recommend to anybody unless you like wasting your time and money. read more

I ate here once and had the best experience (best waitress I've ever had and most delicious food and pasta) so naturally I decided to have my 40th birthday dinner here. I called and left a voicemail asking to book the private room or a reservation for Dec. 17 at 6pm for 18 guests. The next day, I received a confirmation text saying that my reservation was booked. I sent out the evite to my friends and was ready to party. fast forward 3 weeks and I get a phone call from Luciano. He asked if I got his email. I asked him when it was sent and he said Nov. 11. Mind you, this is now November 30. Sure enough, the email was in my junk folder. He said there is a min cost to the private room of $4,000. That was way too much for me so I said can we please forgo the private room and just make a standard reservation for 16 people instead? I was denied my reservation because "you want the reservation at prime time and I won't be able to seat anybody before or after you. Every time there is a large party they are always there 3 hours. I can't do that." Well that's great. Now I have 16 people and nowhere to go for my bday. Things are quickly booking up and it would have been nice if I was contacted about this right away and not sent a very misleading confirmation email. Andrea B. read more

Fantastic food and service. Jeremy was attentive while allowing us to enjoy a nice meal, not at all rushed. Perfect amount of time between appetizer and meal. I can't say enough great things about this experience. Can't wait to visit again! read more

Been here twice. Cold grey interior. Might be new Italy but the place that it replaced had a lovely interior. I ate here when they were very expensive and pretentious. They have moderated the price points but the new menu is unimaginative. read more

Food was divine. Made me feel like I was in Italy rather than Birmingham, Mi. Service was fast and staff was extremely kind. Ambiance is so cute especially sitting outside in the summer gives you a taste of Summer nights in Rome. read more

Amazing Italian in Birmingham. Heard great things about the service but tonight confirmed it. Beautiful ambiance, great food and great wine list. Regardless of what those peasants Lance and Leon say, this place is not to be missed. read more

My wife and I dined here on Friday night. We have been wanting to try it for the past few years since it opened. We rarely go out since we have little ones at home, and we honestly just always forget about the place because it's kind of hidden in Birmingham. I'm so glad we finally made it though. The food was really good, and if I was basing the review on food alone, I'd probably say that I like Luciano's other restaurants better. What brought this to 5 stars was our waiter, John. He made us feel special, he was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Service can really elevate a meal, and John was by far the best part of our experience. Also the hazelnut/chocolate cake that my wife got for dessert was apparently so good that she hasn't stopped talking about it all weekend. read more

Great food and our waitress Charlotte was amazing! She was so energetic and sweet and made our evening more enjoyable! Will be dining there again! read more

This place was such a let down! Got there at our reservation time and the host was no where to be found. Others got there shortly after us and there became a line out the door, due to the missing host. Employees noticed and just avoided us. Finally got the attention of an employee to ask where the host was and after 15 minutes of just standing there, finally one comes over to seat us. Our waitress was inattentive, in a rush, no where to be found when we needed her assistance, and cold. We constantly had to ask other waiters to track her down and kept having to ask for water without her ever refilling it on her own. She'd always zoom away once coming even the slightest bit close to the table, so it was incredibly hard to get any service. The bread basket comes out and the bread was all cold and hard. I asked if they serve fresh warm bread and the waitress said no, it's all cold and baked in the morning. We ordered our food and appetizers all at once. The meatballs took a half hour to come out. I asked for the meatballs well done and the waitress said they always come out fully cooked through and they came out with pink in the inside. We sat there chewing on hard bread and attempting to get down pink meatballs for an entire hour waiting for our other food. Waitress claimed thats how it is "coursed out". The beet salad only came out after the hour of sitting in agony and it was absolutely disgusting. The pesto does not belong on this salad and it is no where near the beet salad at Market North End or J.Alexanders. Absolutely gross. Took a bite and left it on the plate. 25 minutes later our entrees FINALLY come out and we got the chicken parmesan and rigatoni. The rigatoni was not bad and basically the only thing we ended up eating, but thats the least we can expect. The chicken parmesan was INEDIBLE and extremely chewy. We couldn't even swallow one bite and sent it back immediately. This place is not up to Birmingham standards, in my opinion and the food is not good. Salvatore Scallopini is way better. Don't even bother coming here. I will not be back. read more

one of the best experiences my family has had at a restaurant in years. service was incredible. incredible. we had a variety of food allergies and our server charlotte was very understanding of that and made sure in every way possible to accommodate them. food was amazing. my dad said it was the best chicken he's ever had at a restaurant. I don't write reviews, but I am for this restaurant. must go. so far the best restaurant in Birmingham. In my opinion. read more

Casa Pernoi - Mafaldine al Tartufo with added chicken - Italian Near Me - Birmingham, Michigan

Best Italian food we've had in a long time. Still dreaming about the pasta. They're very accommodating we called Friday night and they squeezed us in to a table in the bar area which was very cozy and a great experience. Our server was also the bartender and she was AMAZING. Very personal and helpful. Definitely will be back! read more
