Pasta Sampler

We've been to the OG location in Helotes & decided to come here since it's close to our place. I believe this place is still BYOB but I didn't ask & I did not bring my own wine lol. We of course started with bruschetta which is always good, I can't get enough of it! I then ordered the Pasta sampler (10/10) & my bf got the Ziti Campognoli (9/10). We loved our meals & so happy Casa Pasta is close to our home. Can't wait to be back for authentic Italian food

Amazing meals and service! Shout out to Brianna, our server for outstanding service. Ordered their special penne salsicia- excellent! Shrimp, sausage, basil, garlic and lots of it, in an oil wine sauce atop of penne- super garlicky and tasty with plenty of sautéed sausage and shrimp. The pasta sampler consisted of lasagna, manicotti, and cannelloni all placed in harmony next to each other and smothered in ooey gooey cheese. We rolled outta there happy and content . Thank you!

Food was GREAT! Area it is located in (off potranco) is a busy street. Place was nice and inviting. The service however... different story. Everything was going well, we had ordered a garlic cheese bread and it was really good. When our entrees came out, everything was fine. We realized we wanted more bread for our food (we had finished the garlic cheese bread appetizer). My boyfriend ordered another plate of garlic cheese bread. However, I remembered on the menu it stated we also get bread with our food included. When the waitress came back we asked about it but she said "well we didn't bring the bread included since most people don't want a second helping of bread after ordering that appetizer".... Okay take that as you will, we just said "ok thanks, no worries". We got our second plate of garlic cheese bread we ordered. Then we overheard her complaining about us to her coworkers and the kitchen and she very loudly said "I didn't tell you to order another plate of bread" followed by more conversation. We didn't ask her to refund us or return the second plate of bread nor made a big fuss about it so why are you complaining? All we did was ask about the bread that comes with our entree. Needless to say we might not go back to this location, maybe their other location though if their service is better because the food was really good- don't care for their service though

I started with a Hugo spritz, which was light, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted to kick things off. Later, I had a carajillo, and it was just as perfect--smooth, rich, and a great way to wind down the night. We couldn't get enough of the burrata... so much so that we ordered two! It was incredibly creamy and paired so well with the fresh toppings and bread. Definitely a must-order. And of course, we had to end with dessert--the tiramisu was unbelievably creamy and indulgent, with just the right balance of sweetness and espresso flavor. Absolute perfection. Between the cozy atmosphere, great drinks, and delicious food, Renzo's is such a gem. Highly recommend for a chill night out or happy hour with friends!

Coordinating a big table can be tricky, but the service here was *outstanding* from start to finish. Our server kept everything organized, drinks refilled, and plates coming out smoothly without anyone feeling rushed. Everyone in our group felt really well taken care of, which made the whole evening relaxed and fun. The food was just as impressive. Truly every person at the table seemed to love what they ordered -- we had a lot of "you have to try this!" moments being passed around the table. One thing I especially appreciated was the Caesar salad. I noticed another review mentioning the anchovy flavor in the dressing as a negative, but in my opinion, that's exactly what made it great. For me a Caesar should have that briny anchovy depth, and this one tasted freshly made and perfectly balanced. It felt authentic and thoughtfully prepared. Between the warm atmosphere, truly fantastic service, and food that everyone enjoyed, it made for a really memorable evening. We'll absolutely be back! Thank you Renzo's for taking such great care of us!

So we went online and made a reservation. Upon arrival, we had a large round table set for 10 ready for us. Our waiter, Rami, was really nice and worked hard all evening to take good care of us. The restaurant itself is along a quiet area of the River Walk in an old stone building with tons of charm. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting, perfect for a group dinner. As for the food, it was good but not exceptional. I was excited for the Goat Cheese Pizza with balsamic onion, pistachio, and saba. The thin crust, however, was almost too crunchy and a bit tough to eat. The toppings didn't stand out as much as I had hoped, likely because they were overbaked together. Overall, we had a lovely dinner with great service, a charming atmosphere, and good - but not great - food. 4 stars for now. I would return and try again.

However we realized quickly EVERYONE was waiting outside and they had clearly overbooked or had some issue. Finally, after waiting 20 minutes we were sat. The waittress was kind and let us know the kitchen was having some issues so food would be a little delayed between courses. It was about 60 degrees outside and we kindly asked to turn off the outside fans which were on full blast. Once. Then again, and again, and again. After 5 attempts asking various people we gave up and the waitress let us know she couldnt turn them off because their iPad control died. We werent upset at this we were just upset we kept getting different answers and no explanation for our entire 2+ hr meal. We finished the entree and were waiting for the dessert for about 15 minutes until we finally just flagged down a waittress and asked to get the check and desert to go because we were ready to leave. We waited another 10 minutes before someone else brought us our desert but no check. We asked them for the check and then the original waitress came back with our check and another set of deserts. At some point I saw another server who seemed like the manager or supervisor telling another worker to straighten the tables outside so the corners were aligned... needless to say the table alignment was not the issue. Overall just seemed like the restaurant was overwhelmed and there wasn't alot of communication between tables and the staff. It seems the staff was trying their best but the management wasn't handling it well. Would have appreciated more effort into making sure we were taken care of considering the meal for 2 totaled almost 300$. The only reason this isn't a one star is because of the kind waiting staff.

Our waiter came right away with the bread oil and fresh bread. It was very good. There was 4 of us. My friend and I shared the trio. It was Lasagna, chicken parmesan, and fettuccine Alfredo. We got an avocado salad and split it as well. They don't make their dressing homemade, but the ranch wasn't bad. Our Alfredo was dry, and we asked for more sauce, we didn't receive it. My brother in law got the spinach florentine. He said it was great and big portions. My sister ordered the chicken picatta with veggies instead of pasta. It came out with pasta. She sent it back. They should have let her keep it, and brought the veggies on the side. By the time her food came (20 min later) we were almost finished. She didn't want it. We had to ask for a manager, (she should have come over anyway) she wasn't told what happened. We filled her in. We did end up getting the chicken picatta to go and a small order of fettuccine Alfredo. She also offered a free dessert. I'm not sure who needs more training. The cook, server or manager. I don't know how the chicken picatta is, but the rest of the food is pretty good. Large portions and competitive prices. If I'm in the area, maybe we'll go for lunch.

Our order was simple: a Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. The Caesar salad was much larger than I expected and easily shareable. It was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The pizza arrived quickly, and the wood-fired style really delivered--the crust had the perfect amount of crisp and the flavors were excellent from the first bite to the last.
