    Casa Nova Antipasto tray

This place treats you like family! We had my Mother's Memorial dinner here, and couldn't have been more pleased. They prepared antipasto, pizza, wings and drinks for 50 people. The antipasto tray was a work of art! The owner, John was very accommodating, and his staff was very attentive. If you're in Niagara Falls, check out this place!

Yet another place that puts you back in time, about 40 years, at least. Why can't any of these places spend ANY money upgrading their dining rooms. It boggles the mind. The place has a small bar at the front with a few tables, then a good size dining room at the back. The tables are old, the decor is old, the chairs are old. But, the fish is fresh! We ordered the Friday fish fry with fries, $12.50. They served us a basket of bread, though only with two pieces in it, lol. It was sort of like homemade bread. Not bad. The fish fry entrees also came with coleslaw, which tasted a bit fishy, no thanks. The fries were dry and plain tastings, perhaps I should have gone with the boiled potatoes. The beer battered fish was cooked perfectly and the fish, Cod, was nice and flaky--yum! One thing which seemed odd here was that the servers use metal cars on wheels to deliver your entrees. That seems weird. Almost like getting your dinner at the hospital, covered in a metal tin. Would it kill these serves to just use a platter to put the entrees on?! Our server was friendly and did deliver the items in a timely manner.

If you're in the mood for classic Italian and old(er) school feel, then this is the place. I've been to a handful of classic Italian places over the years and this one definitely fits the bill.... great service and a homemade meal. Pizza, Spaghetti, Wine, Cannoli's... need I say more? Service earned their 4th star. Solid place.

Pizza and mozzarella sticks were wonderful. Our waiter Nick was very nice and very attentive (but not annoying).

I thoroughly enjoyed it, and everything was really good. Located right on the corner going down Lundy's Lane, the place looks very simple from the outside, but once you walk through the doors you realize you are in for an elegant dining experience. Started out with a orange Pellegrino which was wonderful, they brought out some bread and this amazing honey and ricotta cheese spread. Absolutely to die for but be careful. It would be easy to fill up on that and miss out on the wonders of the meal that's coming. I started the meal off with their Caesar salad which was absolutely perfect. The right amount of dressing lettuce was second to none and it was one of the most delicious Caesars I've had. I opted for the gnocchi oso buco ragu, which was absolute perfection. Be careful though, these gnocchi are no joke. The taste will keep you eating all of them and you will absolutely be ready to take a nap afterwards. Bottom line? If you are looking for fine dining in the Niagara falls area, you would be doing yourself a disservice not going to this restaurant. It's absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend it!

Beautiful, beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere, soft music, amazing service by Juan our waiter. We started with Caesar salad and the bruschetta appetizers - Boyfriend's salad was very good. I liked the capers and strong hint of anchovies in the dressing (which he always has on the side). Bruschetta was not what I expected - I felt it was missing something, not much flavor - although the bread was super fresh and tomatoes perfectly ripe. As mains he had the Americana pizza (pepperoni) and I had the lamb, served with a citrusy risotto and rapini. I loved the lamb! Highly recommend. It was literally so tender that I didn't need the knife to cut it! We asked Juan how the cook made it that way - he wouldn't tell and said it was the kitchen's secret! It was delicious. Risotto was perfect too. I'm not a fan of rapini but it was well cooked and seasoned. Boyfriend regretted his choice a little, although he says his pizza was good - but after tasting my lamb, he was sorry he didn't choose a meat dish. I had a shot of Amaretto on ice and the cannolis for dessert. Delicious and obviously homemade. I was a bit put off that a bus boy pulled out our appetizer plates while we were still actively eating. Hint, if our forks are in our hand and we're bringing them to our mouth with food on it, we're not done yet :/ Not the first place this happens and a pet peeve of mine... but whatever. Also, the couple with 5 kids... 5 kids omg... maybe this wasn't the best restaurant choice for you if you are going to let the two small ones run wild around the dining room and almost hit a waiter with a tray of drinks... but this isn't the restaurant's fault. We will return! Worth it just for the amazing lamb, and a short 5 minute walk from the Doubletree hotel, if you are staying there!

I don't normally eat at Italian restaurants because I'm…read moreItalian and I'm very particular. We went on a recommendation from Vinny (the bartender at The Giacomo Hotel). Granted, the restaurant is in the middle of the desolate town of Niagara Falls, NY (and I mean there's nothing around), but once you step into the restaurant, you know why they're still standing after 4 generations. It's like walking onto a set of Goodfellas so I knew right away that I wasn't going to be disappointed. Danielle, our server, is the granddaughter of the original owners. I believe her brother is the chef and they continue their grandparents legacy to this day. We ordered a caprese salad to start. Gnocchi with meatballs and Eggplant parm were the entrees both served with a simple (what I call Sunday) sauce. The food was impeccable!!! What I loved is that it was clean and fresh tasting. The eggplant was not overly breaded and fried - it was stacked like layers of lasagna. The gnocchi were perfect little potato pillows! Bravo to the family!! Your grandparents would be so proud!

It was not ready when I arrived- they even told me they forgot about the order. In return, they offered to deliver it once it was ready. At first I was told 20 minutes, then that turned to 30. The food ended up arriving almost an hour after it was supposed to be ready. I am a little disappointed they didn't offer any discounts or refunds, or throw in any extras or anything for the troubles- we still paid full price. That being said, the food was actually amazing. House salad with homemade dressing 10/10 Dressing was really good. Penne & Penne Parmigiana w/ homemade tomato sauce 9/10 The noodles could have use another minute, but the sauce was really good, and I liked the penne parm better just because I love cheese. Tortellini alfredo with Chicken, mushroom, broccoli and scallions 10/10 Good sauce. The chicken was cooked great, it was really good. Homemade Meatballs 10/10 Honestly probably the best meatballs I've ever had. They were so tender, soft, and delicious. Chicken cutlets 10/10 Cooked great, the chicken was good and the fry was perfect.

So much more comfy than chairs. From walking in to the restaurant to service at our table, all the staff was welcoming and friendly. After we ordered we were asked if we wanted bread and brought three slices of DiCamillo Italian bread. One for each us and they told us to let them know if we wanted more. I really liked that they asked, so bread would not get wasted. I do wish, however, that it would have been served warm. We ordered beans and greens soup and two specials, Taste of Italy (chicken Parm, 3 ravioli and fettuccine Alfredo) and stuffed rigatoni, which both came with a choice of soup or salad. When the food came, there was an ample amount of sauce and it was nice & hot. The red sauce was good, not sweet, but not acidic either... A nice balance. The Alfredo was super creamy. My chicken parm was perfectly cooked... Thin coating perfectly crisp with tender chicken inside. The stuffed rigatoni were enjoyed by my dad... Sure enough, each rigatoni was individually stuffed and sealed on the ends as the name suggests. We all had the beans & greens soup and enjoyed it.
