This was the most infuriating experience I've ever had attempting to rent a vacation home for a…read moreweekend. The property manager, Bradley, sent a 3rd party contract for an additional $3,000 with strict requirements that if any other person that was not documented in the contract appeared at the house, they would keep my deposit. I attempted to have a conversation with him about having pictures taken at the property, meaning 3-4 extra guests would be onsite and he began to aggressively berate me about "sliding a party past him." He also said that he didn't want to rent to me the whole time and that's why he sent me the aggressive contract. I have a perfect rental history on the websites and this property even advertised giving a discount to wedding parties!!! How idiotic can you be as a property manager?? Oxymoron at its finest, and Bradley clearly is unstable. Beware renting a property from this company!!!

We stayed here recently and the place is awesome. Perfect for our family of 10. The Ocean View…read morefrom the pool and slide is spectacular. The owners are very responsive and helpful in any type of activities dining entertainment etc etc. the owner knows everybody in town so it's easy for him to refer the right people and places to go to. It's extremely close to state beach the infamous T Street and of course the pier and downtown area. We have everything you need in the home including all types of leeboards skim boards beach chairs and more towels and you could ever use. Highly recommend this place for a family vacation.

WOW! "Come for the view, stay for the experience" is one of the mottos for this GORGEOUS retreat…read more Another, more simple motto for this property: "BREATHE". Established in 1953, the Beachcomber in is quintessential California bungalow motor hotel. It's unique placement on a San Clemente bluff, with panoramic views of the pier and coast are nothing short of stunning. The rooms have full kitchens, king beds, sofa beds and patios with Adirondack chairs, in case being inside, staring through an enormous picture window just doesn't cut it. The staff obviously knows what a special property this is and there is great pride in the presentation and up keep of the grounds. Friendly, welcoming faces morning, noon and night. Because this is a vintage property, maintaining its original build and charm, it does not conform to modern accessibility requirements. Some may find the rooms small compared to modern, chain hotels, but I found everything cozy, comfortable and - dare I say - sumptuous! Given the hospitality of the staff, I'm sure they would do all they could to accommodate any guest. In addition to the amazing evening sunset views of the Pacific, a plus for me, was the Amtrak Surfliner passing through, down below the bluff. Paul Simon may sing, 'Everybody loves the sound of a train in the distance', but I love the sound of a train close by! I find it very soothing and romantic. After the sun has set, it's time to gather around the large fire pit for easy conversations with fellow guests, maybe while you wait for your steaks to grill on one of their guest use BBQs. A lovely, relaxing way to ease into the night. We forced ourselves to leave the property and stretch our legs, walk the pier and roam the shops of nearby Avenida Victoria. But for REAL shopping in San Clemente, we took advantage of the free hop on/hop off trolley that runs seasonally and weekends(see separate review) that picks up just below the Beachcomber, at the San Clemente train stop. Weleft our car parked in our allotted parking space (1 parking space for those staying in Villas #1-12). Really, Beachcomber had everything we needed to settle in for a few nights and, yes, just "BREATHE". Cheers! "CC"

Vibes here are absolutely immaculate. I did not expect to enjoy this place as much as I did…read more I've only stayed in one other hostel before--a hostel in Zurich, Switzerland--so it was hard not to compare the two experiences. This hostel sits right on the beach and boardwalk and is known for its lively, social atmosphere. I was originally hoping for something a bit more peaceful and restful, but I ended up loving the energy. In terms of cleanliness, it doesn't quite measure up to my experience in Zurich. However, that shortcoming is easily overshadowed by the incredible ambiance and stunning location. The sound of the ocean waves alone is enough to melt away stress. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by friendly faces. The hostel feels like one giant living room filled with friends from all over the world. Conversations happen naturally, and everyone seems relaxed, welcoming, and carefree. It's genuinely amazing how easy it is to connect with people despite language barriers or age differences. The accommodations themselves are simple--basic bunk beds and shared bathrooms--but comfortable and clean enough. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to a cool ocean breeze was pure bliss. If you're looking for luxury, this probably isn't the place. But if you're looking for atmosphere, community, and an unbeatable beachfront experience, it's hard to beat.
