Great Atmosphere, Server was Friendly, Food was very good but, pricing was a little high for what you get (30.00 for Souvalki?). Parking was difficult. read more

Just had an amazing lunch at Casa Mia...Veal and a bun and an great Greek salad. All very fresh, great taste, great service.

Nice place, has an old Jersey Italian fee. I had a group of 6 with me. We all ordered something different. The only consensus was, go with the Italian choices, the greek options seem an after thought. I had the baked ravioli, and it was delicious. Portions are big and very fresh. The Caesar salad was a little saucy, but was mouth wateringly delicious. Even the croutons are tastey. Masala chicken was wonderful. Even the spaghetti and meatballs didn't disappoint. Plenty of parking. A nice quiet unassuming place. read more

I love their Greek salads with chicken and garlic bread, but the prices are a bit insane and seemed to dramatically increase!!! I just got 2 Greek salads with chicken and including tax (NO TIP due to take out order), it came to $50!!! This is insane. I noticed online it says $8 next to the large salad and $4.50 for small but it actually comes to double that -- $19 for large and $8 for small I think, plus extra for chicken. I don't think I can afford this for a small lunch take out so it's likely I won't be returning... maybe for fancy dinners out. read more

Yes!!!! Finally, Casa Mia decided to share one of their best signature dishes -The Greek Salad-on their Barrielicious winter menu. I have to be honest; I eat this salad 3-4 times a month. Every time I enter this establishment I repeat the mantra, "I will try something different"; I never do; why I torment myself I don't know as this establishment, hands down, has the best Greek Salad. In fairness, my loyalty to this salad has prevented me from trying other Greek salads from other establishments in Barrie for the last 2 years. I am open to the challenge so please suggest your best! What makes this salad so great; perhaps it's the perfect balance of feta cheese atop of their homemade dressing which finishes each bite with a hint of dill. The best part is the abundance of the fresh crispy iceberg lettuce which is used. Yummmo! ; And of course garnished with your onion tomato cucumber and olive. I did not attend Casa Mia's winter Barrielicious last year because they did not offer their Greek salad; and let's face it if I'm going to try something new I wanted to incorporate that salad somehow. Don't get me wrong I have tried many items from their menu but always in the form of a bite size. I will never dine alone ;) Casa Mia in Italian means, "My House" and boy have they mastered those 2 words. If I'm not mistaken I believe they are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year!! Without a doubt this establishment provides the best homemade Mediterranean comfort food around. Their homemade sauces and salad dressings consistencies are next to none. If you're feeling like something you can't buy in a store, try something from the Casa Mia Winery. Using only carefully selected foreign grapes, they have created a fantastic wine that goes great with any Casa Mia dish. The atmosphere has an authentic, Mediterranean look and feel. I began my meal with the Caesar salad....kidding....the Greek salad which rolled into the juiciest pork souvlaki drizzled in their homemade lemon-herb sauce with a side of spaghetti. The portions are generous and filling. Dessert: Baklava; One word: Authentic! The staff is attentive, friendly and they are proficient in their product knowledge; truly a dynamite team. If you don't feel like cooking at home; then come to this home and be cooked for. Happy Anniversary Casa Mia...... P.S. I'd like to order a large Greek salad to go! Never mind I'll do it online Bridgit read more

we did our usual friday lunch thing for work and some one suggested casa mia because we had not had greek food in a long time so we chose this place. it did not disappoint. i had the chicken sandwich with fries while others had the spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was quite tasty prepared well. This was a solid place to order from. I will have to make trip here once covid is over read more

At 8 years old I had my first Shirley Temple here... At 16 I had my first date here... At 21, I was a maid of honour at my best friend's wedding here... and at 27 I celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary here! Yup, me and Casa Mia go way back and when I happened to be back in Barrie during my anniversary weekend, I jumped at the possibility to eat here again. I started a Shirley Temple to drink (for old times sake), and garlic bread with cheese and bacon. Next was a Greek salad (with enough feta to kill a horse) and their special of the day: two fillet Mignon in a mushroom sauce with veggies. Everything tasted amazing! My only beef was with the wine we got. I thought the Rosemount Traminar Riesling was disgusting and way too sweet! read more

I have very generously rounded this review up to a 3-star. This Greek/Italian/Mediterranean fusion offers great dishes from each cuisine... in theory. My family of 13 attended for a family celebration at dinnertime. We have 4 generations including children who are 4 and 2 years of age. Service was great, we were brought waters right away and were served wine very promptly. We ordered appetizers and main dishes at the same time. We got 5 orders of saganaki and all was devoured. It was really great! We got some hummus and pita for the little ones. Their chicken fingers and fries also came out early as it was their dinner time! It was nice they were able to accommodate the children. Our salads/soups came out. Large portions in the grand scheme of things. Not many of us finished our salads, but they were pre-tossed which I appreciate, as I hate dry lettuce. Our meals came. My initial disappointment came when I ordered. I wanted to get the chicken Oscar and was told I couldn't. Why? I'm allergic to onions and apparently Casa Mia pre-makes food and doesn't have the capacity to make a dish as is ordered due to specific allergies. That was a HUGE red flag. I honestly lost all faith in the food. And my meal came out... a last minute order of the Mykinos Chicken (lemon chicken, 3 shrimp, veg and potatoes). It was boring. I hate leaving the restaurant feeling like I could have made a better version. The shrimp were over cooked and the veggies were a tad too soggy. The chicken, while boring, was cooked well. We brought a cake and were told over the phone it would cost us $1 a piece to cut. We we assumed we'd be charged $12-16 as it was a small cake. We got a bill for $24, so it was more than expected. We were fine either way, I just wish whoever answered the phone would have let us know if they were unsure of their prices. Overall, the service and saganaki was the best part of the dinner. They accommodated 13 people an entire 3 course dinner in 2 hours. That's really impressive and appreciated. However, the food really was a miss for most of my family. Whether it was a meat course, or pasta. No one was overly impressed. read more

Marie F and I went back to Casa Mia after 10 years to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I'm glad to see that the food and the service are still as good as I remember. We were quickly attended to by our server Alysia. I tried the catch of the day, South African Capensis (white fish). The fish was very well done with a delicious sauce with a side of spaghetti. The salad, on the other hand, was little more than chopped iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato and a creamy dessing. They have several beers on tap but on my way in I spied Muskoka Cream Ale on tap... Awesome. I didn't bother asking what the others were. I love that the wine list indicates the sweetness of the wine (à la LCBO) next to the wine so that amture like me know the difference between their sweet and dry wines. I chose the Rosemoutn Traminar Reisling from Australia (a 3 on the sweetness scale) and was glad I made the choice. I've been coming to Casa Mia for over 10 years and as long as it keeps up this kind of service, I will keep coming for years to come. read more

Best restaurant that I have been to in Barrie. Decor: a bit dated but I'm not there to stare at the walls. Food: Considering it is a college town the restaurant has really good food. The portions are generous and seems like most of the food is relatively fresh seeing as how they have daily specials. The specials are usually a good place to start. Service: Isn't as fast as most restaurants in Toronto but it is acceptable considering you are in a small college town. read more

Recently went to Cash Mia for supper. Had the Greek salad and it was excellent. The baked penne was also very good. Service was very good as they let two persons split an entree without batting an eye. Nice ambiance here. Will definitely return. read more

We have been dining at Casa Mia for more than 20 years. There is an old world charm about this place. The servers are very attentive. We have dined on the souvlaki dinners as well as the baked spaghetti. The spaghetti is consistently good. The souvlaki can be hit or miss. The souvlaki serving size is not in my opinion what it should be. My husband has ordered the "catch of the day" a few times and been disappointed. Bottom line for us - the pasta is always good. The saganaki is also great, so we stick to these items. read more

Pricey. Great for a fancy dinner or just casual. The portions are huge and will fill you up!

Their Saganaki is a MUST try. I come here just for the Saganaki its that good. Casa Mia has an expansive menu of Italian and Greek dishes that is sure to please anyone. The lighting in the evening is low and romantic and the overall decor of the place is classy and romantic. I was last here with a fairly large group, 9 of us and the servers were excellent and attentive and gave great recommendations. One of my tops picks for dining out in Barrie when you are willing to spend a little more. Main dishes run from $14 up to $40. They make a powerful and delicious long island ice tea. Take your sweet heart here for a nice romantic meal. read more

The spaghetti was soupy. The bread was dry. The french fries were useless. Just like the manager, who succeeded in making a wretched dinner even worse with her attitude. The food was over-priced. KFC would have been a better choice. Even for a vegan. Nasty ... nasty ... traumatic evening, surrounded by the Mafia. Italian people throughout the world should protest this "Italian" restaurant. read more

Worth the money, large servings and great food. Staff was friendly. The prices on the menu were a little scary, glad there was a good special for the day. read more

Casa Mia has Friendly staff, and acceptable food. They make a nice baked veal parmigiana dinner and serve a huge lasagna as well. I wouldn't bother getting the bruschetta though, its not worth writing about, and stay away from buying a pop as there are no refills and the glass they serve in is very small. Casa Mia is worth coming too for a simple meal if you happen to be passing through the area. read more

Attended this restaurant for the first time last night. Went for a surprise wedding anniversary dinner with 25 people. Was so impressed at the speed of service. All of the food came out in a timely manner and orderly. Nobody was left waiting. Meal portions are great. I had the French Onion soup and Bruschetta bread. Everything was so fresh and the soup was very cheesy which I love. Would definitely consider going back. read more

We were excited to go here after reading the reviews. I was looking forward to some good Greek food, but was very disappointed. We started with the fried calamari since the saganaki was made with the wrong cheese. The calamari was fast but was like rubber. It was over cooked and not marinated. My boyfriend had a soup with his meal that he didn't finish because it was so salty. My boyfriend had chicken and veggies with rice. It wasn't bad but it was nothing special either. I had spanakopita which had an ok filling but the puff pasty was burnt on the corners and raw inside. We didn't attempt any dessert. The waitress was attentive and friendly read more

Casa Mia has great food and great staff. Our server was very friendly and happy to explain many of the menu options to us. The decor could use an update though. The carpet was filthy and the restaurant looked pretty run down. But everything else was quite good. read more

Very good service. Food hot and tasty ! Veal is a hit. Price is ok. Good Italian place to eat in Barrie.

I am so upset right now.. after finding a large piece of plastic from the side of a container of Tzatziki sauce inside the sauce..from Casa Mia Restaurant , and still several other pieces still missing from the side of the container. I did not want to take my chance having my grand-daughters find it and choke.. I brought it back .. and I was so nice about it.. and I was willing to buy the entire container.. instead of half of it as I had. I was screamed at and humiliated in front of all the staff by the owner.. on MOTHERS DAY.. and I am the designer of that place and I have done so many nice things for the family... I am done.. I have never been so hurt from people I thought were my friends.. It should of been Oh my I am so sorry .. but I was to blame... NEVER WILL I EVER STEP FOOT IN THE RESTAURANT AGAIN. read more

This restaurant is a treasure!! Great food, fair prices, clean and comfortable. We had a great waitress and service was excellent!

I did enjoy the atmosphere of Casa Mia however the food was very disappointing... For 25 dollar plates we expected a much higher standard but were let down. read more

This place is a total disaster!!! I recommend going for lunch, dinner is a rip off!! Is very expensive and the food that they give you is ridiculous!! Very small portion for the money!! Very expensive!! Stay away!!! read more

Over priced, poor quality and definitely not fresh. We came here to celebrate a birthday, and wanted to go somewhere special. Food was all re-heated, and came out way to quickly to be fresh. The service was meh, and the music.... oh the music they played was enough to drive you to drink. I think this place needs to decide if it want's to be Greek, or Italian, because the fusion of the two just do not blend well together. read more

The service is rude unless you order the expensive items and spend a lot ....food is average, but the ambiance is nice.

Great service. Great food. Delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Their home made salad dressing is light and tasty. Make sure to book a few hours for your dinner so you can enjoy the appetizers. The only thing I would change is the parking lot. It is very hard to get in and out of without being very careful. read more

If there was an option to put a zero star I would. I can't even begin to describe the customer service we experienced tonight. Worst experience EVER! Will never order from them again. Delivery order was $100 and arrived all wrong. Delivered something we could not eat and when we called to let them know they told us that was the meal we ordered. We even had proof of our actual order on the confirmation summary. We then got bumped around for two hours with different severs without knowing if our meal was actually being replaced or not. The manager then called us back 30 minutes later and told us the meals that we were told were on there way were actually not going to be replaced and that it was our fault. We ended up throwing out the meals and took a $100 loss. It didn't matter what we said, they were very defensive and rude. Regardless of the situation you should always respect your customers and do whatever you can to ensure they have a positive experience. read more

Nice place, good food, and great location. A little expensive but if you want the food for your money then I would recommend. I believe it is a local business and I am always willing to support that. read more
