I dobt kniw what "others" have said but, I can TELL YOU...the food that we ordered was RIDICULOUS DELICIOUS!!! We placed the order over phone while we were on 400 hwy... and we arrived about 8 minutes earlier and our food was READY waiting for us!! Came home, dug in and it was like I said RIDICULOUS DELICIOUS!! We had their rice with red sauce. Pork suvlaki (whatever) and the Tzikii sauce(whatever) Greek salad, whole wheat pita....MY WORD..ummm whatelse..Oh, their GYRO..delish!!! Trust your gut people...Wr enjoyed!! My Lamb was tough, hard to cut and far over cooked! I asked for the lamb to be medium rare it was well done! The meat itself was tough and chewy! The vegetables were over cooked and soggy! The potatoes were not like Mr Greek potatoes I've ever had before, they were boiled then dipped in tomato sauce not cooked the same way as Mr Greek normally cooks the potatoes! which are boiled in tomato sauce. The potatoes normally have orange well into the potato, these didn't, they barely had any tomato taste at all! In fact one potato I threw out as it had a BLACK SPOT THAT WENT INTO THE POTATO! If I could give this place a 0 star I would. My husband went to order food there first soo expensive for such small portion, second the customer service was bad, cashier took his order then left the store. My husband asked for 2 dishes and when he got the order there was only 1. Soo disgusted with their pricing compared to their portion amount. Came here on a Monday for lunch to give Mr. Greek a try for the first time in a while. It seems that this restaurant has taken a turn for the worse, with underwhelming, overpriced dishes and horrendously slow service. We ordered two pitas: one chicken souvlaki and the other pork souvlaki, with fries to share. On a Monday afternoon, this place was relatively quiet, but we found ourselves waiting over 20 minutes for our order. When the pitas arrived, they were also incredibly disappointing: flavourless meat, no vegetable toppings, and way too much tzatziki, likely to hide the horrendous quality of everything else in the wrap. The fries were both bland and flavourless. Hopefully, this isn't indicative of the quality of the rest of the franchises, but I will likely stay far away from any location for quite some time. read more

My parents and I ate here for the first time today. They were quick to greet us and help to explain the menu. I am vegan, so I was shown my options, which I appreciated. We had one of the vegetarian dinners with no feta and hummus instead of tzatziki, a small Greek salad, and a gyros dinner. Our total was $47 and change, slightly steep. We left the counter after paying and sat down. We were the only ones in the place at that point. We were kind put off by the fact that everyone in the kitchen, including what looked like the owner/manager, stood around talking and weren't making any motion to make our food for a good 10-15 minutes. Only when I went up to the counter and asked if everything was alright and that we had been waiting for a while did they start putting our order together. The next table to walk in got their food almost immediately, and the next after did as well. It seemed odd. My vegetarian plate was good...the rice was perfectly seasoned, the tomatoes and zucchini were roasted beautifully. My dad was not a fan of the meat on his gyro plate, but he said everything else tasted good. The meat was very dry, he said. My mother had the small Greek salad which had 2 olives on it, which she wasn't too impressed about. She said it tasted good though. For the price versus service quality and portion size, wouldn't really recommend it. But if you're looking for something tasty and don't mind spending a medium-casual dining price such as a Jack Astor's or Kelsey's price point, then its for you. 3/5 experience for me. read more

I've never had Mr. Greek up until this point, and I can honestly say I won't be going back. I order the family platter online and went to pick it up 10 minutes later, when I arrived it was ready. The employees seemed to be drowsy and bored. The food was a disappointment and WAY overpriced (55.99 + tax). Other than the chicken souvlaki which was pretty good. The salad was disappointing, it was made with large chunks of iceberg lettuce. Long strings of onions, wet globs of feta, tomato, cucumber, and a dressing which tasted like water downed vinegar. I was extremely unsatisfied with the potato's, they were big potato's cut in half and seemed to be baked with tomato juice (like the alphagetti sauce but watered down to a juice) the rice was also covered in the same potato-tomato juice, the pitas were good, the Tzatziki was good however, you don't get very much (I would get another 2-3) the cookies were ok but burnt. All in all I wouldn't go back. Side note if you ever go to Ottawa I HIGHLY recommend you make a visit to Cosmos Souvlaki, it is a family owned restaurant. The first moment you walk in the employees are excitable and having fun, they 'welcome you into their family' making the whole experience worth your while. The food is absolutely incredible. I have always enjoyed Mr. Greek. This was my second time here and sadly this will be my last. I ordered the classic original dinner. And once it came out all looked well until I found hair in one of the potatoes. I informed the waitress and she said I'm so sorry and replaced my dish. As I was starting to eat, i had a salad as well and so did my daughter and as we're eating I glanced at her plate and notice another hair I than moved the lettuce on my plate and noticed another hair. I'm sorry not to be picky but come on three times that's ridiculous. Here's a tip pls make ensure that all of your employees are wearing hair ties and cover their hair with hair nets. When dealing with food and serving food you must be more conscious on these things. So if your thinking of eating here pls check your dishes well and make sure your not getting any extra garnishes that you didn't ask for!! read more

If you like Greek find another place. Inside looks clean but condiments are served in dirty bottles. Ordered a Herc burger combo and it came with 3 small mushrooms on it and a ton of tzatziki sause to drown in. Burger was charbroiled to death. The biggest turn off was the condiment bottles, disgusting. Never again. I feel bad that the cow had to die twice. Once at the slaughterhouse and then when they tried to cook it. RIP read more

Don't order delivery. It's a nightmare! I ordered a greek salad and pork souvlaki on a pita. After waiting an hour I received greek salad, some kind of meat kabobs and garlic bread that was so cold the butter wasn't even melted. I called, they said they would send me out my souvlaki on a pita and new garlic bread. The delivery came and it was a giant container of tzatziki sauce, pita bread and a bunch of kebobs (no garlic bread). I thought it was weird that I had to assemble the pita myself and didn't get the tomato, onion, etc. but thought they had sent me extra meat for the screw up so let it ride. I eat my pita and then there is a knock at the door. It is the driver wanting the food back that I have already eaten and telling me that what he has in his hand is mine. So, he took back the order he had in his hand and I never did get the correct order even after all of that. read more

This is not the normal Mr. Greek restaurant you would experience in Toronto where greek food is made by real greeks. This food is inconsistent, pricey, and made by people who don't speak a word of greek. The decor looks greek but lacks the flavour and ingredients of real greek cusine. Good place to visit once if you don't mind overpaying, but I wouldn't go back a second time. read more

This location I had no trouble the first time around. Fast service even though it was a little busy! Second time it was completely empty, yet my food took 20 min to come and I watched others get their food before me who had walked in much later. Terrible service. Absolutely horrible, would not return. They told me my meal would take 7 minutes so I told them I was going out and would be back in 15 minutes. When I returned they looked at me as if to say what order, even though I had already paid for it. I showed them my receipt, and had to wait another 9 minutes for it. Quickly grabbed it when they gave it to me and jumped in the car. First of all the food was not even put into wraps, they just stuffed the meat into a container. Second, the meat and the fries were COLD, like just out of the fridge cold. Had I not been on the highway (within 5 minutes of getting the order) I would have returned as to pay so much money for this was ridiculous. The fries were incredibly bland and boring (no salt at all). In all my years of eating gyros have never been sold gyros cold, let alone any protein dish that was cold. This is not your typical Mr. Greek, the 4 girls on duty though friendly were more interested in chatting then making the order or doing any work from what it looked like.
