From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and brought to our table with such genuine hospitality. The space is spotless, intimate, and beautifully styled, creating the perfect atmosphere for a cozy meal. The menu is filled with wonderful Greek and Italian options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The bruschetta was outstanding, and the veal parm was perfection. The food alone is worth the visit, but the service truly elevated the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, giving us that small-town connection where we didn't feel like "just customers." Garlic bread was meh and French onion soup was a tad too salty, but still giving 5/5 for the spanakopita and pork souvlaki plates. The spanakopita was crispy and flakey while the salad was perfectly dressed and tossed. Looooove the thick slices of feta cheese!! My children wanted to surprise me for my birthday and order in from Theo's. The food was delicious. The pickup could use some help. Need to have a bigger space for ordering and pick up as our food was ready just needed someone to pass it over. Staff was so busy helping other people and food get cold quick not saying ours was cold but could have really quickly if my son didn't speak up. This space needs to be bigger for takeout as this business has grown so much. Maybe a separate counter for ordering takeout would help. Otherwise great food and will worth your money. Our friends had raved about Theo's, so we came for our anniversary with our son, very much looking forward to it. Ordered spanakopita and bruschetta and a couple of drinks, followed by steak, lamb chops and a kid's meal. The whole experience was shockingly average, especially for the $130 bill we ended up with. The place was packed and I'm assuming the servers were short staffed, so we barely saw our server. Tasted straight out of a diner: almost no flavour to the meat, undercooked potatoes, soggy veggies, half-baked appies. We took 3 or 4 bites, then called it a night. Our server came to the table, saw that we had barely eaten anything, and asked if we wanted dessert. No inquiry to see if maybe they've been a problem with the meal, just the bill. Went to Theo's with my family. They all really enjoyed their food and the portions are really big. The 3 of them all ordered different kinds of pasta. I ordered a pizza. They mentioned it was "Italian" pizza with fresh made in house pizza dough but to me it was quite average and not very authentic. However, my cousin ate the left over pizza the next day and mentioned it was delicious so maybe it's just me. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall a good experience but next time I would probably choose to go at a less busy time. read more

** Based on Take-Out ** Stayed in Orillia over the Canada Day weekend, and this restaurant was known as one of the top restaurants in the city. So of course after hearing this, we decided to get take-out. I was so happy we decided to go with Theo's. We ordered the garlic bread with mozzarella, medium two topping pizza with pepperoni and sausage, and chicken souvlaki which came with a side salad. All three dishes were amazing; had a lot of flavour and portions were perfect, it was more than enough for two people. I will def. come here to eat if I'm in the area again :) read more

Came to Orillia to catch a movie. Came here for dinner after finding on maps. Food was excellent. Had the lasagna and my wife had the California Penne which were both excellent recommendations from our waitress. Place was packed on a Thursday at 6 which was good to see. Theo's has excellent lasagna. It is the sauce that makes this dish plus the creamy, buttery mozzarella cheese. Their stuffed mushroom caps are also excellent. Their home made Caesar salad dressing is also special and delicious. All portions are generous. I love their Very Berry Cheesecake. I'm giving them 4.5 stars only because their decor is not current. One of the better Italian restaurants that I have visited while working in Canada. Starting with the house salad, it was extremely good, especially with their house Italian dressing. The meal that I chose this night was the veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti. The bill was very well prepared and extremely tender. The spaghetti was portioned on my plate in abundance with a large amount of the house spaghetti sauce atop the pasta. We had booked two concerts at Casino Rama and a hotel on hotwire, please see my review for the econolodge if you want to read that horror story.. Theo's was discovered because it is located across the street from the econolodge in Orillia. when we spotted it, we noticed the parking lot was busy so we decided to go. There are limited options in Orillia, and I like trying new places. Theo's is probably one, if not the best restaurant located in Orillia. The atmosphere makes you feel comfortable and welcomed, everyone is friendly and the service is fairly fast even when the place is packed! I have been a couple of times and each time had the veal parmigiana. If you read my reviews then you will know that I love veal and pasta. The food here is delicious! I have yet to be disappointed. The only thing that I don't like is how they only bring one piece of bread for each person at your table, so you have to keep asking for more bread if you are a bread lover like myself. I strongly suggest you make a reservation, as this place has been busy everytime i have went and also if it's a concert night at Rama, I would make a reservation a couple days ahead of time. read more

A good friend who has lived in Orillia for more than 30 years recommended this place to me (nearly 20 years ago). We go there for dinner exclusively (I do not believe it is open for lunch). The baked spaghetti is to die for. Consistently good. Piping hot, very cheesy with pasta cooked to perfection. Portions are very big as well. Sauce tastes home made. Unreal pasta dishes & the homemade Caesar salad dressing is hands down the best I've had. Garlic lovers dream! My husband and I invited another couple (Bryan Barnes) to join us at Theo's on Feb 14th/2020. The food was good. However, we all felt as if we were on a treadmill. We were whisked to our table which we thought was a good sign. Our drinks were brought quickly, the horderves came quickly, the meal came quickly. We were not offered a second drink at all. Before we knew it only 40 minutes had passed and our entire evening was over.... Clearly the staff had been told to turn over the tables quickly. We did not enjoy being rushed like that. We hadn't seen our friends in months and were so looking forward to catching up on Valentines Day. Theo's was not the place to have dinner that night if your intention was to relax and enjoy a meal. "It's always busy here" says my dining companions. I wish I had a Theo's in my town! You'll need a reservation for any time on the weekend. The kitchen was slammed as every seat in the house was taken (we had a party of 8 which we made reservations for) Everything's homemade - even the caesar salad dressing (make sure your date has one too, it's intense but wonderful with real anchovies). Get a burger for around $8 or roasted lamb for $22 there's something for everyone Not a fan personally of the potatoes, they're probably a house favourite, but swap them out for the house grilled veggies. Pasta is big portions - the staff is used to bringing the take home container out, and quite recommend it, honestly LOL, which is nice. My mom ordered the phillo wrapped haddock and dill sauce - apparently it's divine - crispy phillo - fish cooked to perfection. Service was slow... glacier slow... not for the entrees, but for everything else (1/2 hour for some cheesecake to be slapped on a plate?) Having said that, and not a huge cheesecake fan, the berry variety was very light and pleasing to the palate. We went tonight for dinner again, and it was quite busy there. I would suggest a reservation on summer weekend evenings. Tonight we had the crab dip for the appetizer, and it was very tasty. My suggestion is that there was not enough crab dip, and too much bread for what we got. My partner had the chicken and pasta, but he thought that the sauce was a little too garlicky. But there was plenty of tender chicken pieces. My meal was the veal parmigiana sandwich. I suggest some roasted peppers or mushrooms would have enhanced the flavour. The bread was okay. It was an average fare. Generally okay, and service was again hard to find, though our server was friendly when she dealt with us. Just a little below our expectations all around.
