This place is false advertising their happy hour. Ordered 2 shrimp cocktails in which one had multiple shrimps with skin still attached. And horchata tastes like water so food wasn't very satisfying. If u look at the pic attached there is micheladas on the happy hour advertisement but when charged we questioned and they said that wasn't apart of the deal. And offered to show the happy hour menu at the end of the meal AFTER we got our check and my card was already charged. I ordered the grilled fish taco lunch. The fish was very fresh and perfectly cooked. Rice and beans were quite tasty. My gentleman friend had the 2 taco dinner. He said the chicken was not over cooked and was ample portioned. We both had iced tea which was delicious. Excellent service from Brendon. Such a nice young man. November 21, 2010. Huevos Rancheros Breakfast. I'm still wondering were the Rancheros Sauce was on this Breakfast. This was one of the worst Huevos Rancheros "with rice and beans" I've had in a long time. The eggs, looked like a runny mess of some thing, i don't thing it was anything close to Rancheros Sauce. Chips and Salsa Sucks. Salsa had no taste, chips old and cold. The good part was i was able to make tacos from this mess. It was entertaining in this place. Had a Spanish Family across from me, with 2 kids they had a small food fight., started because one of them (i guess) had bad breath and kept blowing in her face. She said you breath sick like shit. and then it started. LOL You could hear everything, anywhere in this place.it almost over took the Spanish music in the background. (I gave them a extra star for this,) It was busy inside, maybe because they have an All-You-Can-Eat deal for 9.95. 13 item. wow not bad, if the food was good. If you like Huevos Rancheros and your in this area go across the street to Nick's. Same price but ten times better. I'm going to go to 12 new Mexican Restaurants in the next 12 Sundays. new one each week, ever new place has a different taste, No two Spanish or Mexican restaurants are the same. I've been coming to Casa Jimenez ever since I was about 4-5 years old and I am now 20 years old. This place is the best Mexican Food I've ever had in my life. The only thing that I miss is the buffet you used to be able to buy but I understand that it is not profitable for them to serve the quality that they do while offering a buffet for the price they do. Now, I order the #27 on the menu which is a Chile Relleno, Chicken Enchilada, and Carne Asada Burrito but I get it with shredded chicken and the plate comes with beans and rice. I love this place so much and it will always be apart of not only me but my family for how many times we've came here and made great memories eating delicious food. I know many of the staff by name and would go as far as to call them my family. From the young bus boys to some of the cooks and waitresses as well as everyone in between. Casa Jimenez is Authentic Mexican food and is the BEST in Perris. If you think otherwise you're straight up senile or insane. You have to realize that these people aren't robots and everyone makes mistakes, give them two or three tries before you get on yelp talking shit. I have yet to encounter anyone who has given them a couple tries or three to say this place is bad, everyone in Perris loves it and I've been here all my life, not an out-of-towner just coming in or someone coming back from somewhere returning here after a long time. My girlfriend and I went here to celebrate my birthday. Neither one of us had ever been here before. We ordered Dos Equis beers and Don Julio 1942. We ordered two of their lunch specials (served ALL DAY). I had the Chile Relleno...and my girlfriend had the tacos. We also ordered a "Coronarita." Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS!! AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED!! And the Coronarita was EXCEPTIONAL. BEST ID EVER HAD. The servers were very attentive, knowledgeable and sweet. Well I use to love coming here, I just got back from out of state and I decided to stop by, by myself for a birthday breakfast and the waitresses didn't care to check in to see if I needed anything (like they do when it's more then one person) I had to get up to constantly ask for something very unsatisfying, I've been a loyal customer for years but I just noticed the waitresses making snarky faces could care less if I was there and consistinly attending those around me very rude. Have three stars, food was delicious except for the oysters. They weren't cold and they gave me possible food poisoning. Presentation of the oysters were bad too. They put iceberg lettuce on the plate and literally put ice from the ice machine all over the oysters. read more
