We decided to try this Mexican place because years ago they had great food and great service. Turns out they suck at both now. Not only is the food ok at best, but the service is atrocious. The server acted very annoyed anytime we asked her for something which wasn't much. I noticed she was perfectly pleasant with the Hispanic families that were dining there, but we were treated much differently. What she didn't know is that my friend and I are great tippers, but after the horrible service and mediocre food I didn't want to leave a dime. I hope for their sakes that they don't continue with the bad service and I hope they improve their food. I won't be back here again til things change and I'm betting a lot of others won't either. There are too many other Mexican food places in the same area for this place to be that bad. read more

Okay if you want ambiance, authenticity, and incredibly good food, this is the place to come. The salsa is wonderful and the chips fresh. You are treated like a valued customer whether your a regular or first timer like us. Loved the food. The prices are very affordable. Run do not walk to eat here. You will love the experience. This place went from okay to disgusting. We spent $90 and the the food was bland, the chicken and pork was dry. The kids got bean and cheese burritos and they were just disgusting. We will definately not be coming back here anymore. read more

Casa Jimenez is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in town. Their service is great. We've been coming here for years and they've seen my girls grow up. We always get a friendly welcome and they are very attentive. We come exclusively for the chilaquiles plate on Sunday mornings. It has chilaquiles, rice, beans, and carne asada. Definitely hits the spot with some coffee on the side! Chips and salsa are given as an appetizer as well. Love it here! read more

The waiter was not the nicest when we would request something from her. The ceviche was flavorless, absolutely no flavor at all. I got the aguachile, which was good in flavor, but for me the shrimp was still a bit raw which grossed me out. Good thing i was able to take it home, chop it up, and ate it later that day. Prices are great though, don't get me wrong. The cheff just needs to add more flavor to ALL the food. read more

Love coming to Jimenez on the weekends for their chilaquiles dish. It comes with beans, rice, carne asada and eggs. It's a feast fit for a king! The staff is friendly and always greets my wife and kids. They make us feel at home. I recommend this place to everyone. It's the hole-in-the-wall that deserves to be discovered. read more

Ok so the fam and I went here for more as a snack session.we ordered raw oyster platter,the Brava(bold/spicy) seafood soup and a side of beans...at least when we finally were able to order, the waitress was busy with other tables we sat for quite a while ,finally when she comes rushing attitude the whole time,making it very obvious she was annoyed by any questions...finally after getting all the food which was subpar by the way I ask for a bill and it was not brought. After finally deciding to get up with my family to pay it at the front. The waitress is there making sure we weren't leaving,like dang now u see us?She honestly acted like we were some type of theives....more like wanting to get the f out of there was tired of the neglected service! Our dinner was ok, but my husband and I went with my parents and we both had a coupon. They only validated one coupon because they said it was one coupon per table, and the waitress said it stated that on the coupon and i told her it didn't, but she insisted it was one coupon per table. I was waiting for my car which being serviced in a nearby garage and wanted to have some breakfast while I was waiting. I spied this place within walking distance and figured, what the heck. It was about 9:30am and the place had several tables occupied, a good sign. My courteous host had me seated right away and I had a look at the tattered menu. Usual selection and prices for a Mexican restaurant. My chips & salsa arrived and it was all downhill from there. Watery, tasteless salsa with no heat. It literally tasted like the left overs at the bottom of a can of diced tomatoes. I ordered their chorizo and eggs plate. The rice was so bland I had to pour salt and watery salsa on top of it. The beans were also bland and the chorizo & eggs were made with that store-bought chorizo you get at the store. My two tiny tortillas were tough, crumbly and stale. My server was very nice and service was fast and professional. The food was horrid. This is So Cal man! There's so much good Mexican around here, I'm surprised this place has been in business for so long. Adios! read more

Been to several of the Casa Jimenez restaurants in Southern California, and have watched the decline of this particular one over the course of the last three years especially. The last time was absolutely the LAST time I would ever go there! Roaches in the bathroom waitresses indifferent and rude. Over all the whole place was just dirty and the food was subpar at best.. I WOULD recommend the Casa Jimenez in Murrieta or Upland California though. read more

Unfortunately things have changed. They used to have the best beans I had ever eaten, now they taste like canned. I thought we had just hit a bad night, but after giving them 3 chances, we won't be back. Nothing is the same. Also the price of their all you can eat is now 12.95, for food that is no longer good.
