I totally love it, great atmosphere and food, the service was amazing! The location is extremely welcoming and it feels that I'm back in a Mexican hacienda with the art and culture. Drinks were great, the mimosas and my favorite drink was the smocking Gun.

Stopped by on a Friday night and it was crazy busy and it was hard to find seating. I tried the Christmas cocktails and they were delicious and came with cute cups! Service was surprisingly attentive!

Wow! Casa Hernan was not what I was expecting, but in a great way. I visited Casa Hernan for their Mexico's Independence Day celebration and it was such a fun time. I thought Casa Hernan was a restaurant, but I would consider them more of a bar/cantina type of place. The decoration of the place is absolutely beautiful and I must say they have the comfiest chairs that make you want to stay there all nice. For my first time I decided to try their Corazon de melon cocktail, which has vodka, watermelon, cucumber and mint, topped with a watermelon spicy paleta. The drink was refreshing and unique, and tasted so good. For food, we ordered the queso fundido and some chips and salsa with guacamole. Everything tasted delicious and it paired really well with their drinks. Their music was also on point throughout the night, and we had such a great time in there.

Beautiful bar in a house down southtown by La Tuna. They do have a dedicated parking lot with plenty of parking spots, you just have to pull around the building to see it. It is very well decorated and furnished with Mexican/Spanish influence. There was a DJ when I went and music videos playing on the TVs. A lot more lively than I expected but there was also a big group event going on. I ordered the Corazon de melon - vodka, watermelon, cucumber, mint cocktail and tried the chicken flautas and volcanes de asada (tostadas.) Our server raved about the volcanes and she was right they were a 10/10, the steak and salsa on there is awesome. We got great service even with it being so busy and overall had a great time.

Dropped by here on a whim, and it was a great experience overall! There were plenty of parking spots open in the lot, but I can imagine this place getting more popular and crowded by word of mouth. The exterior is an unassuming darkly lit house with a huge "casa hernan" sign at the front. The entrance of the bar is actually on the side of the house, facing the parking lot. But when you walk inside, you're transported to a fun, music-filled lounge/bar area. (Granted, it was a Saturday night, so I'm not sure how it is on the weekdays.) Seating was "seat yourself," and there were a handful of cozy spots/tables to choose from. The menu is simple but sufficient--one side has drinks, while the other side has food. I tried the Que Fresa Frozen, Paloma de Oro, and Cantina Margarita, and they were all delicious! Food-wise, we got El Botanero and Quesadillas. The portion size of the chips and salsas (el botanero) was huge! The food was perfect to munch on to accompany the drinks. Second round of drinks took a little bit to come out, but service overall was great! Our server was super nice, warm, and friendly! I definitely recommend coming here on a night out. It's very lively but not too crowded. Also, I absolutely loved the decor inside--you can tell every single piece was artfully chosen with intent and made the whole atmosphere that much better.

Sample of the art. There is so much more to see.

What a great place. If you love an artistic vibe this is the place to go for tasty cocktails and appetizers. The dj gets the party started and the staff is on top of the service game.

Too bad you have to wait an hour between drink orders!

Really amazing building, with a trendy layout. They were extremely understaffed for a Saturday. The drinks and appetizers were top notch, just expect a lengthy wait between visits from your server

One of my favorite bars in San Antonio, I had the Cantina Margarita with Herradura Blanco, Cointreau, Passion Fruit, & Sal de Gusano and the Corazón de melón with Vodka, Watermelon, Cucumber, & Mint. Both were fantastic, delicious, and potent. Service was excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Casa Hernan is a beautiful spot to visit, it is a great atmosphere, they have awesome music and food! The drinks are amazing!! If able to, you should try it out! Get there early because parking can get a little sparse.

I have been wanting to visit Casa Hernan for a few months now. We tried both the Tostadas and the Chips & Queso "Botanas" I really enjoyed the Tostadas. I don't drink often, so I had a delicious Virgin Shirley Temple! The music and ambience were amazing. I came at dinner time on a Saturday and the parking was convenient and FREE! I look forward to coming back with friends & family!

Good drinks and food. A bit pricey. Overall, the music is consistently too loud. Can barely have a conversation.

The outside doesn't scream coffee shop , in fact it's kind of an "IYKYK" type places because it's right in plain sight and I passed it for awhile before knowing what it was. Thanks to the San Antonio coffee fb group for all of the recommendations! They have a pretty expansive menu as well as plenty of delicious looking baked goods ! They have some cbd options too but I didn't try any of those. I tried the iced texas Star - flavorful and great espresso flavor. I do wish they used smaller ice cubes so the drink would last just a tiny bit longer. I also tried their chocolate croissant. Good, but would've been better warmed up! I don't remember if they offered that. My friend had the matcha and she loved it. They recently got a new matcha and she was worried because she loved the other one but was pleasantly surprised how smooth and delicious this one was as well. I definitely need to go back and try their matcha as well as other menu items because everything sounds so good. 1 star taken off because it is very hard to navigate with a stroller which is a bummer because I know tons of moms that love to venture out and find new coffee shops. On the plus side, clean restrooms with a changing table which is hard to come by!

The place has really opened up their space- it used to be crowded with a maze of tight cubicles of gallery and studios. Now, it's a wide open central gallery, with studios and smaller galleries off to the sides. In the front, they now have a coffee shop! Cool! In the back, they've paved in the side and back yards, where bands set up, and additional galleries can be found. All of the art is local, handmade, and ranges in media. Some of the art can not be purchased, as they are installation pieces. The art here is all reasonably priced, and there's a great variety of artists and vendors selling cool stuff. This place gets hopping for Second Saturday, a monthly art walk that centers around the galleries by the train tracks at South Flores. The art is just part of the scene- check out the live music too! Budding artists can rent space here to do their art, and sell it when they have events. Other than Second Saturday, you might need to book an appointment to come by many of the artists' galleries, but it seems that coffee is served all day.
