The staff was very welcoming. Even though we didn't have a reservation we were seated immediately. Service was quick and they came by often. The food was good. My only complaint is the use of salad shrimp in the pasta. There was only one regular sized shrimp on the whole plate. It looks like a lot of seafood but it's really most tiny salad shrimp which overcook easily and I've never had in a pasta. Otherwise, the flavor was good. The tiramisu was amazing. They gave us a HUGE serving since they were about to close. I would go back just for that. read more

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to on any vacation at any point. Some of the most welcoming host and owners that you'll ever meet. Very friendly and accommodating. But the food is unbelievably good. I had a veal Parmesan dish with eggplant that was just outstanding. Words cannot describe how delicious this was. My salad was terrific, and the dessert of chocolate mousse was absolutely phenomenal. It's a small place on a relatively quiet street that you might overlook because it doesn't have all the fixings of some of the other cafés and restaurants, but don't overlook it. The inside is simple yet classic. You feel like you're in a family dining room. I would easily come back to this place again if I'm ever in Paris again. Really wonderful. read more

First lunch in Paris and accidentally walked into this gem!! The staff was amazing, offered us an English menu, a free welcome juice. My fiancé and I order an amazing pizza and our first escargot. Came with bread and spicy oil. I also had a large beer and it was very complimentary to the food. I would ten out of ten recommend coming here for lunch!! An exceptional dining experience! The service was truly outstanding, with the main server going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. From delicious Italian pasta to escargot and a great rose, every dish was a delight. Also check out the desert the ice cream and apple pie hit the spot. The food was delicious !! My family and I got 3 pizzas to split and the pasta trio. All 3 pizzas were delicious and the pasta trio was amazing. The crème sauce and the pesto were definitely our favorite. The service here was also incredible!! Everyone was so kind gave recommendations and made the evening fun! Located just a few blocks from tourism central, this place is anything but touristy. Maybe Italian isn't your first choice when dining in Paris, but they do Italy proud at this place. We ordered the lunch menu (appetizer, pizza, and dessert) for 17 euros and a carafe of wine for 7 euros. You can't beat that price for wine. In fact we ordered two. The service was nice and friendly and helped out with our lack of English. Overall, it was a nice experience and not the tourist trap you find a block or two over. D.H. and I found this little gem on social media. The owners were very welcoming, fluent in English as well - and they had menus in French or English (much appreciated by the hubby). The food is absolutely delicious here. I went with a pasta dish, D.H. had a pizza - both were yummy and quite large servings, too. This is a small, local business and they do a great job. This is a family friendly restaurant, but very cozy for couples, too. Tucked away about halfway down rue Jean Jacques Rousseau, very convenient to the Louvre. read more

We booked a reservation based on the reviews and while the service was superb the food was subpar to say the least. We had the veal parmigiana and a pizza which arrived to our table within 5 minutes of ordering. We were also charged 4 euros for a small glass of red wine that we didn't order. Skip this place if you want an authentic Italian meal in Parisian style. However if you're into a quick bite and in a hurry go here now. read more

They are located near the Louvre, but that's where the highs end. When we arrived we were seated at a table which required us to get out of our seat each time someone from a neighboring table needed to leave / return to their table. This also promoted the waiter to serve the neighboring table across our table and my food. We ordered a pizza and pasta. The pizza came out fairly quickly, but I can't say the same for the pasta. The pizza was OK, but I've had better in Paris. When asking about the status of the pasta, we were told "it's coming". After 15 minutes we told them to cancel the pasta, we have to go. 5 minutes later the pasta arrives. We sent it back, and they removed it from the bill. Needles to say, we weren't impressed by this location at all! read more
