This place is super fun. The ambiance is definitely full of energy and there are a lot of shots ordered. Be ready for music and sparklers lol. The drinks are a little pricier but they're delicious and come in the most unique vessels. The food was actually really good! I didn't expect that since it is so known for their unique drinks. We'll come again for another girls night!

The ambiance, the staff's personalities, the food selections, all together the best Mexican restaurant I've eaten at inside Wilmington, North Carolina.

It was our first time here, it was Saturday afternoon and it was after 1:00. We were seated right away. They bring chips and salsa to the table. The salsa was pretty good! We tried their guacamole and just had sodas . The decor is really cute and it can be a great place at night for a date or just a group of friends. We ordered the ACP chicken, the caldo de pollo and the squid dish. Everything was full of flavor and good portions. We tried the chocolate dessert and that was good as well. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. Will be back because their menu is full of items we want to try and their drinks too!

This was our first visit to Casa Encanto. What can I say - but absolutely splendid! The ambiance is elevated, the drinks magical, and the food is some of the best we have had. The chips and salsa were to die for! Hearty chips with just the right crunch and salt! The fire roasted tomato salsa was so flavorful we added to our main dishes as well. The birria tacos and chimichangas had plenty on the plate and were fresh, hot, and seasoned well. Also, don't miss the beautiful decor throughout the restaurant. Plenty of space for a large group, but I would call ahead for courtesy. Our server took great care of us all evening and helped us with to go orders promptly for the rest of the family at home. Will be a new fav spot.

As a vegetarian the food here was excellent. The chips and salsa were fresh and hot. Ask for a side of hot sauce - it's made in house and isn't too vinegary. The server customized veggie enchiladas for us. The chili rellano primavera was unique and nothing I've tried before. The poblano was cooked well with veggies flavored perfectly inside. The decorations are really cool inside. It really does feel like a casa encanto. It was a little too loud inside for my liking. Almost like a party vibe. Overall is a lot of fun Overall, definitely recommend and will come back when in town

If you're searching and find the newest hot spot in Wilmington, NC is a Mexican fusion called Casa Encanto, your eyes are not deceiving you. I've been a part of Wilmington for nearly 50 years. This is one of the coolest additions since the film industry began here in the mid 1980s. I will leave the ambiance and environment explains to something you'll likely find far better on social media. As you're seated having a meal, you can easily tell dozens of photos are being taken around you. But first, DON'T be like me! Don't accidentally book online a 6:30PM reservation for Casa Encanto in Cuernavaca, Mexico! That unfortunately doesn't fly. When first stepping in you know you are somewhere enchanting. It took someone in the El Cerro Grande restaurant family, or perhaps the whole family pitched in, to even dream up something like this for Wilmington. If you've ever been to Barton G in South Beach, this is Wilmington's version. And the service (Wesley!!!), attention to detail, taste of food, perfectly blended cocktails, even the chips & various salsas, nothing disappoints here. If given a long wait time, just go chill in your car and listen to maybe Gypsy Kings. You don't want to lose your place in line at this new hot spot. The Playa Encanto (2 shrimp enchiladas with creamy poblano sauce and mahi-mahi zarandeado fillet. Served with street corn and chile toreado.) absolutely delicious. I on the other hand had basic grilled chicken tacos with shredded cheese & black beans on top - and even that was mind blowing.

We stopped in here for a late dinner, tired, hungry and dirty from being out in the woods. We were just looking for a big plate of yummy food but fell into a whole party! It was such a lively place with birthday shots for anyone celebrating a birthday! What a great idea -- I'd much rather have a birthday shot than a dessert. All the drinks we saw looked amazing. I want to return another time when I'm not just ready for bed. Service was good and food was delicious and plentiful so we did achieve our goal. I ordered the bowl and my husband the enchiladas. Both were fabulous.

Three of us had lunch several days ago. Wow, what a lively and colorful place! Very noisy too, but I loved the vibe and the music too. I can imagine this place really hopping at night. There is a nice bar, which I would love to sit and have drinks and food. Fresh chips, nice and crunchy, and salsa was delivered to the table. The salsa wasn't spicy, but it was tasty. From the lunch menu, two of us ordered the Chicken enchiladas (two) with the green tomatillo salsa. It came with rice and a small salad. It was delicious! The chicken was very tender. At other restaurants, the chicken has been on the dry side. My other friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros, however, the eggs were very overcooked. The yolk should be runny. The waitress never asked how my friend liked her eggs. The waitress took the dish back and had them re-made. She did ask how the eggs should be cooked. The second dish was better but the eggs were still pretty firm. Overall, a great place for good Mexican food in a lively atmosphere. I'll definitely come back.

The staff is friendly and the place is very lively. It seems to be a little quieter at lunchtime, no waiting for a table at this time. They also have outside seating. We ordered the birria sandwich, think amped up grilled cheese with very tender meat. It comes with the dipping sauce and a side of ultra crispy French fries. Next up is the enchiladas verdes with steak. This dish comes with refried beans and rice. So, so good. Food is not greasy at all. The verde sauce is delicious and not at all spicy. Really tasty. We always want to try dessert, but we were in the middle of our workday, so we passed this time. Their breakfast here is outstanding, go for something authentic, rather than your typical "American " breakfast items. You won't be disappointed with any choice here. Today was not my first time eating here, and if I'm be truthful , every time I'm in town, I make it a point to stop by. They serve the kind of traditional Mexican breakfast I grew up loving, along with so many other delicious options. The staff is always warm and welcoming, serving every guest with the biggest smiles. You'll also often see the owner walking around as well, checking on tables and making sure everything is going smoothly, which adds such a personal touch. The restaurant itself is clean, beautifully decorated with cultural charm, and filled with the incredible aroma of fresh spices cooking in the kitchen. I always begin with their Café de Olla--a slow-simmered coffee made with raw brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, orange peel, and coffee. It's served hot, full of flavor, and not overly sweet. Honestly, it's the only coffee I'll happily drink without creamer or added sugar. This visit, I ordered the Tamal Montado: two tamales over a bed of creamy black bean sauce, covered with red salsa, then topped with a sunny side egg, avocado, Mexican sour cream, queso fresco, and cilantro. Every bite was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. I finished the meal with a pan dulce, which paired perfectly with the whole experience. I skipped tortillas this time, but they also have a tortilla station where they're made fresh by hand and cooked to order--always a sign you're in the right place!! They're open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, and if you find yourself in Wilmington, this spot should absolutely be on your list
