Our guide brought us here for a real taste of Sintra. Staff were friendly and the glass display was stocked with all sorts of pastries and goodies. The typical Pastel de nata and travesseiros as well as a piece of cake. They have other items than just cake so, you can have some savory items as well if you want something more filling. This was a fun solid stop in Sintra. It was busy and the coffee was good. The travesseiros were not too sweet and fresh. The other items were strangely cold and tasted very dense and heavy. It was crowded and the counter was fast, we come during a tour so were told to sit at a table. I think it would have been fine for a quick takeaway as it get crowded inside and it was nice outside. read more

The most amazing travesseiros I've ever had. Soft like a pillow, not overly sweet with the perfect almond cream filling. I have zero complaints and wish I could buy this special treat in the states. It does get crowded so be prepared to wait. Do not skip on this treat when visiting Sinatra!! read more

Came here after a Sintra tour by our tour guide. He said it's a great local place with good pricing. I noticed the food here is half of what it is in the more populated tourist area. I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was perfect. Very delicious. It was exactly what I needed after a long day of walking around. Inside they have pastries displayed too! read more

When we went to Sintra, the guy that we rented our small car from definitely recommended this place. As we got there I noticed a African American guy as the big display with a waiter outfit. We went in and got a couple pastries it was okay but not as good as I thought. Also leaving the place I was thinking about the image that was on display, and thought it was very racist! Especially how liberal Portugal is. I got bad vibes thinking about it. I don't recommend nor will I support it again. read more

Our guide brought us here for lunch because it was a locals place. I had a decent sandwich for lunch and got served quickly. The pastries were very good, although I found the travesseiro a bit sweet for my palate. As for the name, some things don't translate... I wouldn't fault it for that. In the UK, there's a town called Blackboys... not quite PC either. read more
