The man running the store was very personable and friendly but left me alone to eat. He saw my poll worker name tag and offered me a free drink. Asked how it was after I had finished. It was a good bit north of "well done." I asked for no pickle and got pickle. I really don't like the taste of pickle, but was not going to ask for a new burger just because it has some pickle juice on it. The bun was nicely grilled. I was not sure whether to get sweet potatoes fries or regular fries and the cashier offered a mix. I liked that and both types of fries were very good -- served hot and seemed like they were cooked in fresh and clean oil. The regular fries had just a touch of breading or batter, I think. The fries were the best part of my meal. No fountain soft drinks and just a soda in a can for $2. That's definitely a point against them. The store was extremely clean and it looks like they had good desserts. They have egg for their burgers which is a plus for me. They bill themselves as halal-friendly, that's good. Lots of vegetarian choices on the menu.

Only thing is, if you get it to go and have to wait long it will be soggy cause of all the moisture from the kraut. So I opened the clam shell container right away, set several napkins under it and that seemed to help. Also got the maple bacon tater salad which was great as well ! Service was great friendly and timely as usual and a great place for something " next level special "

The "Ox" made with roast beef and horseradish cheese and the "Sarge" which is a collection of meats and American cheese on sourdough. Mrs. E. likes the gourmet grilled cheese and a side salad. With this sandwich you get two cheeses of your choosing! They have a vast drink and chip menu. If you're a big Walnut Creek brand aficionado, you're in luck. Many different WC products to choose from. It's another great stop to stock up on meats and cheeses. Esp. our lunchmeats for the week, including our favourite, Sweet Lebanon Bologna. Yep, they carry it. Pro Tip: You might consider splitting their sandwiches and salads since the portions are so big. The folks here aren't the fastest, which is nice. We love to sit and chat and move at a conservative pace. Main Street deli is a wonderful place with great sounds and smells and plenty of places to sit and enjoy a terrific sandwich! 09/25

Stopped by when passing through town. Fun atmosphere,…read moregreat vibe, friendly staff. The owner stops by and hangs out. If you want to go to a place where everyone knows your name swing by a few times . The pizza I ordered was Pepperoni . Sausage, Ham, Onion, and Green Pepper. Sauce flavorful with a back end residue of old world flavor, the crust light and crispy true to the ode to a tavern style pie. The toppings were plentiful.

Hubby loved the supreme pizza. I helped myself to a corner puece and liked the balance of toppings and thin crispy crust. I ordered the griled chicken salad with house made Italian dressing. The salad was plentiful with croutons, red onion, cheese, tomatoes, pepperinci, cucumber and grilled chicken. Unfortunately, the house made italian dressing was bland. Although I could see spices in the cup - all I tasted was oil. Next time I would order a different dressing. My mom ordered an Italian sub. She requested them NOT to toast her bread. What she received was a raw cold cut sandwhich. Everything was there. But they didnt bake the inside of the sub. Dad ordered the fish & chips. He received seasoned fries that were very salty and 2 pieces of battered frozen fish triangles straight out of the box. No one was expected fresh catch of the day but there was no effort put into that fish. The super nice waitress realized the mistake with the fries and replaced them with regular fries. While still salty, these fries were a huge improvement over the seasoned fries. We loved our waitress but there was only one cook in the open kitchen and he was clearly overwhelmed. I believe she was helping him as best she could. Every table waited an extremely long time for food. Then our table was less than happy with 3 of the 4 meals ordered. Bottom line - get the pizza. And bring a side of patience. I like supporting small local establishments and have no regrets. I gave this review 4 stars because of the pizza alone. I believe that when the testaurant is named "pizza" get the pizza. Everywhere I have gone, the restaurant's best meal is in its name. Go to Pat's Pizza & Pub - order pizza and you'll have a good meal.

Or I've just been lucky. I did not expect to give this five stars, or to enjoy it quite as much as I did. I mean, it's a sandwich shop. Grinders used to be scattered around Columbus, and this might be the only one left. I used to go to the one by me all the time. This happened to be nearby today, and so I stopped in out of nostalgia. And it was pretty much what I remember. But a peak experience. Service was great, fast and friendly. The menu is pretty much the same as it always was. Lobster bisque was one of the soups of the day and I didn't expect it to be great quality, but it sounded good, and I got my usual club sub. Soup and drink, and bread for the soup (you could choose crackers) were up almost immediately. Sandwich took about 10 minutes, but that's of course because it's being toasted. The soup was fine, nothing special, strong sherry odor, lots of tiny bits of lobster. Pleasant enough, and served with a chunk of good bread. And they serve it piping hot in its own little crock with a metal spoon. Don't throw those in the trash. The sandwich was as good as I remember, maybe better. Good bread, loads of meat, tomatoes, and a honey mustard spread. I got a 6 inch and it seemed longer than that, although maybe my estimation skills are off... It was very tasty. Held together pretty well. I was stuffed. They have lots of salads, that is, pasta salad or potato salad, etc. They are always good, but I didn't have any room with the soup. The place was clean, it was steady at 1 PM but not packed. Plenty of parking in the big mall lot. I really enjoyed it. And as far as sandwich shops go, this is about as good as it gets.
