Solid pizza, good crust although not as thin as I prefer sauce was very good. 5.8 on the Portnoy scale. Had a large carryout order with sub salads and pizza all were good. Very young but friendly staff, service was slow based on the kitchen. Very limited selection of beers, a few domestics as well as three offerings from Rhinegeist including Truth and Bubbles. Large eat in area could handle large groups. Final verdict, order ahead of time to allow for plenty of time. read more

I frequently travel to London and asked where the best pizza is. Heard several replies mention this place. Well, I guess people there must come to Columbus a lot. It was ok, but not much more. Might be hurt a bit by the post pandemic work shortage. Walked in one Saturday and the first thing you see is a counter with nobody at it. Stood around a couple of minutes waiting for someone to come out and I could see people in the kitchen eyeballing me. After a bit saw a sign that said RING BELL FOR SERVICE. As soon as the kitchen help saw me go for the bell, they came out. After ordering a 14" pepperoni pizza I paid by debit card and the only choice on the tip selection was 20%. Seems excessive for a a pizza you have to wait to order and then someone carries it out to you. It was quite salty and not enough sauce which is noticeable when you re-heat it. It was ok, wouldn't make a special trip for it. read more

It's okay ...room for improvement definitely in the dinner buffet but it was only $10 so I guess you get what you pay for. Pizza was burnt, the crust is like cardboard and we requested them to make jalapeno and pepperoni pizza and it didn't happen. Also they have pasta and garlic bread but the pasta was cold and the garlic bread was nothing to write home about. Overall we probably won't be back but then again it's a bit of a drive and we just happened to be in the area. Another thing, they only bring out one pizza at a time and a long wait in between pizzas so I only tried a slice of the pepperoni and sausage and one slice of the pep & mushroom which I could not finish due to it being burnt and the chewy cardboard crust as mentioned. read more

I was a solo eater yesterday, and I wanted something simple. I choose the antipasto salad with ranch and an extra small cheese pizza, compliments to cappys for putting that salad together cause it was good. One thing though the ranch was warm, never had warm ranch before but hey I'm not one to judge. The pizza somehow was burnt and undercooked at the same time, it was chewy and kinda bland. I don't eat my pizza with ranch, but this pizza needed some love and ranch was its saving grace. Will I come back? I don't know, this little experience of Cappy's pizza was a bit weird. The slogan "truly Italian " should be "truly imitation " instead... this food is laughable. I opened up the pizza box and instantly thought , this is going to be horrible. It's basically a giant Tostinos pizza you get a grocery store. The mozzarella sticks were horrible as well. I'm not sure how you can screw up a mozzarella stick but it happened. I guess they get their "truly Italian" ingredients from the cheapest place in the world. Just garbage. Instead of eating this, go to a grocery store with a $20 , buy a hot pocket and throw the change in the trash. Eat the hot pocket and you are doing better than me. At least they have anchovies. It amazed me, when I got hungry for anchovies, that nobody carries them, to put on pizza, anymore! I know. Most people don't like them. I usually don't, but anyway... The kid at the counter had to ask someone in the back what capers were (and whoever he asked wasn't old enough, so I got something else on the pizza) but at least he really did try. I've been in their dining room before, and it's a nice place to take a family. The prices are a little steep ($25/xl pizza) in my opinion, but you can make up your own mind there. read more

I've been a Cappy's Pizza fan for many years. We used to have one in WJ where I grew up and live. It was one of the last, great spots for kids to hang out. Then they closed their doors in WJ permanently and the only remaining location was in London. When they moved to their current location it was more spacious as it moved to a former Big Boy (and Perkins, if memory serves). We love Cappy's. We support Cappy's. But I don't think they have cleaned their urinal or toilet in the men's room since it opened. The smell is so bad that i hold my breath. In the summer the flies are EVERYWHERE. In the immortal words of Anthony Bourdain, "If the restaurant can't be bothered to replace the puck in the urinal or keep the toilets and floors clean, then just imagine what their refrigeration and work spaces look like." I read that in his book Kitchen Confidential recently and it came to mind as the six of us ate celebrating my 8th grader's basketball victory last night. The only thing I could think of was how long that bathroom has consistently stunk. How long had it been since anyone went in to clean it. Ages. Years. Since the beginning. I had the cappy boy super sub, with cheese sticks. Sub is toasted, very good. Mozzarella stick were crisp, with a light breading, good but not special. I got pizza sause for the sticks, good flavor, but I prefer a sweeter less acidic sause. My wife had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, it was very good. Thin crust, cooked perfectly, good sauce, see above. Staff is friendly and quite attentive. Bottled pop only due to covid-19. read more

Our family doesn't care this pizza at all. Sauce is weird, crust is paper thin and icky and they don't "pie cut" unless asked to but I think that's the way it is all over Ohio for some weird reason. Who cuts a round pizza in squares? Thats like cutting the middle out of a cake. read more

I ordered the Buffet and went and got a plate and grabbed two pieces of pizza and sit down to eat it. I bit into it, and it was old and very rubbery! I thought to myself that they should be bringing out something fresh before long, and somebody came out and tore down the Buffet... Literally, I spent $30 on two pieces of pizza for about 3 to 5 minutes and was not allowed to get any more... That place is a scam for doing that and I would not recommend their food or their service or their Buffet to anyone... My recommendation is to spend your money elsewhere! This location has actually housed two of my favorite eateries: Perkins Pancakes and Cappy's Pizza. I'll survive missing out on pancakes because the pizza Cappy's serves is heavenly! Growing up in Marysville, OH, spoiled me to delicious pizza. I currently live in southeast Michigan, and haven't yet found a pizzeria that can satisfy my taste for a light, thin, crunchy crust. In July, 2019, we visited family in the area and made it a point to dine at Cappy's. It was well worth the effort. We enjoyed a pepperoni pizza, and a cheese and onion. Oh, the sweet smell, and taste, of those onion slivers (not tiny pieces of onion like some places use)! I've also tasted their "take and bake pizzas' and they were great, too. read more

This place was highly recommended by a lot of people. My friends and neighbors all told me good things and I'm not impressed at all. The pizza is cold, there is wayyyy to much sauce and an unacceptably small amount of cheese and toppings. The potato skins are like freezer burnt or something they taste awful. I would rather eat little Cesars. They charge a premium for this food and it's dollar store quality at best. Placed order at 5:45 and did not get it until 715 after they told me it would be ready in one hour. Its' been year's since I've been to Cappy's in London, but circumstances found me here not too long ago. As weird as it sounds, the location I frequented no longer exists, but it's counter part just a hop skip down the road is still there and alive, which it's a much better alternative, because there's way more seating. So, it functions the same, you stop in, order your pizza at the counter, grab a seat, your drinks and await for pizza-y goodness. The pizza was just as I remembered, and really hit the spot. It's a REALLY thin cracker crust, ohio style pizza. I don't know if it qualifies as the best pizza ever, but it really hits the spot and to me definitely should be considered before chain spots like Donatos. Wish I had one a little closer to C-BUS, but I guess my pilgrimage to London will have to continue. Good stuff, Cappy's! read more

Never been inside but have had their pie and subs many times. Real mozz. Nice crispy pepperoni with decent sauce and crust. Not the best but good. The 'all the way' is very good although too heavy on the onion but its their signature I guess. Subs are hit and miss sometimes perfect and sometimes over cooked with dry ingredients and rock hard bread. Little pricey for London but it's a decent place. Long time owner recently retired and contrary to what the new owner says it has changed slightly and it's not same...but no better or worse. read more

I don't know if it was because I ordered at 11pm last night, or if the food is just always terrible or possibly because the former tenants at my new place pissed this place off. Ordered a large Pizza 4 topping. It came 45.mjnutes later piping hot which is rare for pizza delivery in general, but I mean hot as in this Pizza hadn't been off the oven for longer than 5 minutes so was very happy, even tipped the driver well because of it. The pizza had no sauce hardly on it, like literally like a tablespoon spread on a large, the mushrooms were flavorless, the ham was the same, way way way too many onions, only thing that tasted was the dough and black olives. First impression this place doesn't know how to make a pizza, that will also be my last impression as I will never order from this place again! I'll stick with the big chain places. This is not how Pizza should be! *update this review got a like from them so thought I would see if they responded on facebook. Instead whoever, probably the owner or manager, decided to block me instead of trying to respond. Lol grow up your childish. 10/9/19 Owners changed. I could taste it a few months ago. I got my first bad pizza from there in 17 years. Drove all the way back to get a new one, I was offered no compensation. Older guy was a annoyed. They hired a bunch of teens who don't know how to cook a pizza. Sub was ice cold, returned it too, got a new one, cold in the middle. Changed the sauce or something on the pizza, lost flavor. The jacked up the price on lunch buffet too, almost 10buck for salad and pizza, was 7. These new owners only look at the bottom line and loose customers over these changes. I'm done with Cappy's. read more

Found Cappys and decided to order from them because one I was tired and they delivered and then two my only other options were fast food. I ordered a small 7" Sausauge pizza, Small hot boneless wings, and a antipasto salad. Definitely hit the spot!!! This dinner did not disappoint at all totally hit the spot. Took a chance and stopped in after delivering a load to Honda from Laredo Texas....easy parking, very clean on the inside. Warm and homey interior. I Was promptly greeted at the door, everyone friendly and helpful. Ordered Cappy's favorite pizza...extra cheese and pepperoni and a couple of beers...pizza was hot and delicious and came out only after a short wait, beer was ice cold. I'll be back!
