I found Casa de Bride on Yelp while looking for someone who could help me and my son with our measurements since we'll be part of my niece's wedding entourage back home. When I called to ask if they could assist us, Carolina was so warm and friendly over the phone--she just told me to come by anytime. The moment I walked into the store, I was immediately impressed with all the beautiful gowns and accessories on display. Even though Carolina was still helping another customer, she acknowledged me right away and kindly asked me to take a seat for a moment. I could see how happy her customer was with the service she gave them. After she finished, Carolina greeted me again with a big smile and even gave me a friendly beso. I was 110% satisfied with the decor for our wedding. I provided her with pictures I found online for the decor I had in mind and she was able to customize it how I envisioned perfectly. Everything was done beautifully! The backdrop was exact to my specifications! All the bouquets, boutonnières, etc were beautifully matched. She does get busy so you have to be patient but when she is with you she will make sure you know she is going to do everything she can to make you happy! My whole family got our dresses, tuxes, and chambelanes tuxes here and everyone looked great. My sister's dress was perfect and she looked like a princess! She makes herself available if you have to stay after her closing hours. A few of the chambelanes tuxes arrived wrong and she made sure we got the right sizes that night. The alterations on our dresses were perfect. The invitations were perfect! She even recommended the photographer we used! He was very involved and looked like he really enjoyed what he was doing. Carolina and Adan are quite the team! My husband and I have nothing but great things to say about these two and their services. They were fundamental to our wedding as they provided many services to us - the rentals (chairs, tables, tablecloths, chasers, etc.), all floral arrangements (for the tables, bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, groomsmen boutonnieres), day-of coordinator services, etc. Carolina was very thorough throughout the planning process, and had very wonderful ideas. Carolina did such an amazing job with my flowers for my wedding! They turned out so beautiful that everyone was wanting to take the center pieces home! She did my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, center pieces and our aisle flower arranges in which EVERYTHING turned out so beautiful. Throughout the planning process, Carolina was so organized and on top of it. She is a a great communicator and active listener to ensure that our wants for our florals were being met. We had meetings prior to the wedding and her insights were so helpful. I first visited several other bridal/quinceanera shops in the same block/area, same day in December. We went to about 3 before we ended up at Casa De Brides. The other 3 shops were busy working on other quinceanera orders (one was folding invitations, other was sowing dress, other was speaking to one of their vendors), so they never really gave us the time, they just answered our questions with one word, I was expecting more involvement from the staff. We found my daughter's dream dress at the 2nd shop we visited, but we didn't purchase it from that shop, we couldn't commit. They were more interested in selling us the whole package (dress, puffy thing under the dress, invitations, limo, doll, hair peice, guest book, pictures package, etc.) We were not interested in any of that yet, we just wanted to find her dress. We were about to leave the area when we passed by Casa de Brides because they had a beautiful white dress in the front and the fact that the shop was small actually attracted us to it, it felt more inviting/comfortable. When we walked in we immediately were greeted and welcomed, the owner left what she was doing and gave us her undivided attention. We ordered my daughter's dress, the same one from the 2nd shop we visited, it was actually $100 less. We were able to leave a deposit. I told her that for now we just wanted the dress and once we would get closer to the quince's date I would speak to her about a package. She was perfectly fine with that, she didn't push the issue. I've made payments for the dress and every time I've gone in it has been on a Thursday or Friday, both days she has been very busy. She's had 2 quinceaneras at one time waiting for her and they seemed to be fine waiting for her because they get to see the other girls' dresses, plus every single one of her customers seemed happy and were very talkative, i enjoyed the wait. From what i saw, others were picking up their dresses and their fitting process only took 25 minutes, while she is doing alterations with one quinceanera the other one is putting on her dress. Parents were also going thru their other goodies, crown, gift box, bouquet, hair piece, etc. that were part of the package. In both occasions and in all that commotion she's had time to take my payment, answer all my questions, while still remaining extremely curtious. So far, so good, I'm glad we went with her!!! I'll keep posting all my experiences with Casa De Brides. I feel like the current reviews don't do it justice. The owner seems to possess a lot of experience, she participates in quinceanera shows and knows many other vendors (choreographer, invitations, photobooth, etc.) I'm not getting the doll, gift card box, guestbook, hair piece, or bouquet. Let me start by saying I'm Hispanic but I know I do not look like I am. I absolutely hate when employees talk to each other in Spanish thinking you don't understand what they are saying, what's worse is when it's pricing. It's rude!!! I went shopping looking for a wedding lasso, I had gone down to LA and didn't see any I liked or in my price range (apparently Amazon is cheaper). I was told to check out the shops in San Fernando. So that's what I did. When I went in to Casa De Brides I did like their selection; however, I was given a price and when I handed the girl my credit card the other woman in Spanish starts asking the girl how much she was charging and started to through prices out in Spanish. Of course I understood what she was saying and the price tripled. WFT is that. I can't believe their horrible customer service! Was it because she didn't think I understood (Everyone knows Spanish now)? Or because she thought I would pay the now tripled price. They didn't get my business and I would suggest they shouldn't get yours either. Do not shop here, unless you want to be over priced. Lastly I wouldn't even give them 1 star. There was a time that Casa de brides was well known for their excellent service. I was disappointed with their service this last month, August, 2018. We had an account with them for my cousin's wedding. The groomsmen and the groom rented Tuxedos for the big day. I advised one of the ladies months in advance, that the men in the wedding all preferred baggy style pants. I let her know although tight pants seem to be in style, the men in our group were not comfortable with tight pants. I was informed that this would not be a problem to order a size up and make sure that they were all comfortable. When we went for a fitting my son's tuxedo was super tight. It look like if he moved, the jacket would split in half like The Incredible Hulk. The pants were tight, really tight around the thigh and the crotch but what made me annoyed was the the woman assisting us assured me that he looked fine. I insisted on a larger size But she only ordered the pants in larger size, insisting that the jacket fit him fine and if we ordered larger it would be too big at the shoulder. I pointed out the bottom button and showed her that it was a screaming button that the jacket did not fall into place as it should and button looked like it would pop, And it did not look flattering. she said it was fine but did order a larger pair of Pants. At the wedding the other groomsmen were talking about how they left work early and went to make a payment or have a fitting and found that the store was closed during the time that the hours were posted as being open. One groomsmen said the first tux he tried on when he went to pick up for the wedding, had a huge hole in the pants, and at the wedding he showed me his jacket was missing a bottom button. The bride also related she went to the shop during a time when it was posted as open and no one was there. It was closed. The groom related he also felt his jacket was too tight and small but was told that this is how its worn. The groom also ended up wearing his own shoes instead of the rented ones, because the rented ones appeared worn out the ladies were nice, but they did not pay attention to detail. As the mom, busy with all the planning, one week prior to our event, I still didn't have a dress. I went to Casa de brides on a Sunday, one week prior to the event, in a panic, and Caro told me to pick out several designs and I should have it on Tuesday.
