Came here on Saturday night due to the almost 5 starts reviews! The food was ok, steak is over cooked for sure, dry but it was edible since there was mushroom and gravy on top. (It wasn't portobello mushroom as it stated in their menu) seafood paella was decent, grill octopus was ok and the empanadas was good. The music was loud that you literally have to yell so you know the place was extremely noisy. The one thing I will say for sure I did not like the fact there was a service charge of 20% on the bill! It was for a table of 2 people. And they brought back the bill to sign and the Tip line is blank? So this place expect you to pay a service charge for 2 people and tip too?? The food and drinks here were outrageous. Our waiter recommended the mango Mojito and it did not disappoint. We shared 4 tapas and loved each one including the Chuleton Casa D'Paco, Pollo y Camarones, Zambuinas, steak tacos and Papas. Everything was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant has multiple rooms one that is a fully enclosed tent that was comfortable but a little loud. When I return to the area I will definitely come back to try the Paella for two, one of their signature dishes. read more

They only offer street parking which at certain times can be limited however we quickly found a spot within a few minutes of arriving.The ambiance was great; beautiful decor, lively crowd, upbeat music. One word: wow! This place is awesome. First of all, this place is so lively! The second you walk in, you can smell the delicious food and see that this restaurant has a good vibe to it. Not too many tables so there was a little bit of a wait, as they didn't take reservations for 2 (they do take reservations for larger parties). The bar staff is friendly and ready to serve you drinks! We started out with a large pitcher of peach sangria... let me just say, delicious! They have a whole range of fruit sangrias including peach, strawberry, mango and passion fruit, as well as the classic red and white wine sangrias. They also have a entire wine and beer list, not to forget some cocktails of their own. $20 for a large pitcher of sangria which was perfect for the two of us! Next we were taken to our table in efficient timing and started the night with some tapas! They have the best tapas and such a wide range of variety from octopus and squid to steak and even veal tongue! Off the of the specials menu, we had the filet stuffed with crab which was full of so much flavor! I would order this again. Off the normal menu, we had the bacon-wrapped pork filet, patatas bravas, pulpo a galega (which was surprisingly very good) and my favorite, the crab cakes. These crab cakes were probably one of the tastiest I've ever had. To end the night, we had the butterscotch cake which was sooo good. Order this! You won't regret it! Was so impressed last Saturday, came back the next. Excellent food, excellent people and a very nice variety of tapas and more. Place is legit. Only thing to be aware of is that the outdoor enclosed area is very comfortable but can be loud. This last time we went, as our meal was winding down, several large parties arrived, which delayed our desserts and coffee -- but nothing extraordinary. We weren't complaining at all. But because of the delay, they apologized and comped our desserts and coffee drinks which was completely unnecessary and very generous. Class act. Can't wait to go back. read more

I've been craving for tapas and had high expectations for this place. We were told to wait 25 min because we were 15 minutes late from our reservation which was totally fine. After waiting for an hour we were told we would be the next to be seated. But after these, at least 4 more groups were seated before us. Wow I finally found a tapas bar in NJ that's worth visiting over and over again. Nestled on a residential road, the place can be a bit hard to find but boy is it worth it. Every dish at this restaurant was outstanding. My favorite dish was between the octopus and the scallops. The octopus was one of the most tender well flavored versions of the dish I have ever had. The scallop was filled with flavor but still highlighted the fresh taste of the ocean. The dessert was also excellent. When we asked what options there were, we were informed that the owners mother makes all of the desserts. Excited for some family recipes we got the Flan. It was the best flan I have ever had. So good that we ordered another piece. You can tell that everyone who works here takes extreme pride in what the present to customers and I can't fault a single dish that was served to me. What a find! (Kudos Jade) Casa d'Paco is an absolute gem in the ironbound neighborhood. Small but still comfortable, authentic but still innovative in their dishes, and straight up delicious. Good luck finding a better, genuine tapas place in New Jersey. Unfortunately, I don't remember the exact names of every single dish I tasted, but at least the general idea and taste is still fresh in my memory so bear with me. I highly recommend the Gambas al ajillo (shrimp in garlic), these crab & shrimp cakes which were incredible, & the patatas bravas (every tapas goer should know this one!). I really can't wait to go back and try even more dishes. There was one very minor hiccup I'll have to mention on my visit here, and it was the sangria. By all means not the sweetest or worst I've ever had, but definitely on the sweeter side. Some people might like that, but I prefer to really taste the wine in my sangria. My boyfriend and I were traveling from RI and needed a quick bite to eat before a concert. The hostess sat us right away on a busy Sunday night. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the ceviche and carnitas empanadas. The ceviche was like no other ceviche we've ever had. The octopus was so tender and the broth was mouth watering. The empanadas were crispy and the filling was tasty. For entrees we got the paella for 2 which was outstanding. Casa d'Paco, I am in love with this establishment! I came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and we had a great time here. This is a small place and a hidden gem! My friends and I had a ton of drinks and delicious eats! Let me say that the wine prices are very fair and affordable. For a restaurant I would say they are on the cheaper side as well. I think that is why my friends and I (more my friends) drank so much. With our large party, we shared many of the tapas dishes. We started with a typical meat and cheese platter, which prepared our taste buds for the incredible tapas dishes ahead. We had the breaded baby squid which was excellent. It felt like it was fried calamari on crack, you can tell the breading was done fresh and it tasted great. Another nice dish was the grilled tiger shrimp, these large pieces of shrimp pack a punch. Yes you have to take them apart, but it tasted yummy inside. And out of the rest of the tapas, my FAVORITE here was the octopus tapas. One was a grilled octopus tentacle. This tentacle was packed with flavor and I had to tell myself to cut myself a fair size to share with my friends, because I definitely wanted to sneak more! The other octopus tapas we shared was the Galician style octopus with paprika and olive oil. This platter was already cut into pieces, and OMG this tasted awesome too! These pieces of octopus were very tender and I could just keep ordering this. Oh and for the main course, we got the Paella. This was a dish that everyone enjoyed. There are some good pieces of clams and other shellfish, along with shrimp and generous pieces of lobster. The serving of paella is huge here and can definitely feed more people than they say! So... Which by the way I highly recommend the passion fruit and mango sangrias! The servers were all very friendly and attentive and were quick to fill up any empty glasses. The food was great! It gets loud, tables are close together, and it's hard to find parking, but the food is certainly worth a visit!
