We went for dinner and then lunch the next day. The service was impeccable. We did both outdoor and indoor dining and they were equally attentive with both. The meals were enjoyable. Ours consisted of veal piccata with a mussel appetizer. For lunch, we had the pasta wheel which was a fun experience. This meal was fairly pricey considering there is no meat. Both the plain and truffle versions were well prepared.

Cacio e Pepe

I was craving my favorite pasta, Cacio e Pepe, and out of the several Italian restaurants recommended in Little Italy, Casa D'Angelo does it the right way, which is with Pecorino Romano Cheese, not Parmegianno (Parmesan). That's the way I've had it everywhere in Rome where Cacio e Pepe originated from. Cacio e Pepe is spaghetti-style pasta with black pepper and Pecorino cheese, and it is a wonderful, deceptively simple dish . The black pepper is what brings that spicy bite to the salty hard cheese to tingle the taste buds. Every bite is a delight here! Don't bother paying a lot more for this pasta from a cheese wheel like in a few places nearby, especially if it's a Parmesan cheese wheel. You pay a whole lot more and the pasta becomes overly cheesy and you lose the peppery nature of it. Stick with the traditional way of enjoying Cacio e Pepe. The restaurant is a very classic Italian restaurant. The only slight knock is while I love the olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette, the toasted bread was a bit on the hard side.

Little Italy NY Treasure!!!!!! We had lunch her. A group of 5. We were greeted and drawn in by a fun and friendly gent. We walked in and were quickly seated. The ambiance was very Italian and full of life. Our server was incredibly informative and helpful. The food was AMAZING!!!!! We had different pasta dishes all made fresh right there. We enjoyed watching one of our dishes made in the cheese wheel and topped with truffle oil and fresh truffle slices. Desserts were superb!!!! A must try when in town!!!

We were in little Italy and decided to try this place ! First, service was amazing , they deserve all stars for service. They have casual Italian ambience. Food was good. Burrata : This is an amazing appetizer for vegetarians. Burrata was very fresh and flavorful. The base is chopped and cooked eggplant and sautéed with some vegetables. This whole thing totally work as a combination. Tortellini de ricotta : This was recommended by server. We enjoyed it. The sauce is creamy and buttery. Pasta with chicken ( pollo Fransence) : This is spaghetti noodles with very nice lemon butter sauce. Chicken was bit chewy and I did not enjoyed the taste. This place may not have been a standout for me but I can see how others are enjoying ... it has a cool vibe !

This place was delicious. We were looking for real Italian food, and they delivered. Everything was amazing. My son had the pasta in Alfredo sauce that was cooked in a cheese wheel with truffles on top. It was terrific. I had a risotto with mushrooms. Definitely one of the best I've ever had! Prices were pretty reasonable. Service was good. Only odd thing was a guy taking pics and then trying to sell them to you for $20. Definitely cheapened the experience.

I stopped by on a recent trip to NYC. I was in the area, and this restaurant had good Yelp Reviews. I was very disappointed in the food. I think it's possibly because of what I ordered and not the food itself. I did enjoy the house wine that was very affordable. The free bread was also delicious. I enjoyed watching the waiter make and serve the alfredo sauce from a cheese wheel for another guest. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try that dish because of my dairy limitations. If I was back in NYC again, I would probably skip this restaurant for something else in the area. Sorry Casa D'Angelo.

Service was excellent and food delicious. We had the lasagna and cheese wheel pasta, which was made table side. Would recommend!

Tortellini di Ricotta

Great Italian restaurant and excellent experience here, everyone was super nice and accommodating. Love the ambiance and the food was amazing. It was very busy for a Thursday night. For appetizer, my friend and I shared the burrata, definitely a must have. I ordered the rigatoni alle polpette, very good but wished it came with more meatballs, only came with two. My friend ordered the tortellini di ricotta. I enjoyed this pasta more, I would definitely recommend this one. For dessert, we had the tiramisu, we thought it was very good, perfect way to end our dinner. Fabio even showed us the kitchen where they make pasta, this was very cool. I look forward to coming back to try their other dishes.

I came here with my friends during the San Genaro festival. We were looking for a place to sit down and eat. This place looked clean and the staff seemed very friendly. We ordered a few drinks, I had a spritz and my friends had margaritas. The drinks were good. The ambience also was nice. Everyone around us was enjoying themselves and laughing. The waiter was kind and explained the specials in detail.

Rigatoni alla Vodka

Fresh homemade pasta and great people watching. The staff are lovely and service is exceptional. Try one of the pastas in their cheese wheel and get a seat outside on the patio. The vodka rigatoni and chicken piccata were delicious! Reservations are not needed, while it gets busy you can still grab a walk-in table. The restrooms also look newly removed and are very clean.

Friendly service and outdoor seating in Little Italy. The bread was warm and they offered mocktails and cocktails. The pasta was gummy.

We had the BEST experience here. Good wine, good food, great service, fun atmosphere. I loved every minute of it. Honestly I can't say anything negative, you won't regret this stop, it tasted very authentic and we got plenty to eat! I loved the mushroom risotto, and the lobster ravioli was great! We had a big party so getting a nice experience like that is so fun. Thank you to the owners and staff!

We came across this place while walking through little Italy and they caught us with the fresh pasta made in a cheese wheel. It did not disappoint. We started with the anti-pasta Italiano and it was amazing. The fettuccine out of the cheese wheel with the black truffle was to die for. Just a nice quaint little restaurant with great food and service. Our server was amazing as well as all the other additional staff even gave us a free champagne when he found out we were on our honeymoon. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The waiter did say to just check mark the paper instead of quantities, but they end up bringing you 2 of everything you order. The sweet & spicy fish is also very solid, garlic noodles were buttery, and even their iced tea was super refreshing. Could not recommend this place more!! Bonus: they play a great 2000s throwback playlist that got us singing along and dancing while we were peeling all our seafood to pass the time. Shoutout to whichever employee put that playlist together!

This is exactly the kind of place that works well when you need something fast but still high quality. Service stood out. Jeanine was excellent; she quickly understood our time constraint, guided us to the right dishes, and kept everything moving without making it feel rushed. At one point we accidentally put a plastic menu over a lit candle, and she handled it immediately and made the moment feel light rather than awkward. The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. If you like seafood, this is a strong option for the price point and location, especially during happy hour.

I find it oftentimes to be overpriced, coming with a lot of bells and whistles and lacking in flavor compared to Little Thailand in Queens where I grew up. This place is an exception! From beginning to end everything was excellent. The pork belly was the perfect temperature of warm, tender, a bit acidic/sour (YUM), and so delightful. I can see why many reviews recommend it. The crab curry was so nice and clean and fresh. The crab was so tender, and the curry strong, and went beautifully with the rice. It's actually such a sleeper hit, and we added it onto our order last minute. The steamed branzino was delicious, too - tender, limey, sour, sweet, a little heat - it's got everything!! And it tasted so so clean. Beware! There are tiny fish bones, so be careful as you're eating it. The dessert was good too, and very authentic.

From the moment I entered the restaurant, I knew the experience was going to be next level. Thank you Jay for seating me and my friend at the best table in the house. Thank you to our phenomenal server Shamim. Your service was really over the top stellar. Soon as you sit at the table, menus are placed. Complimentary delicious bread, water, and warm hand towels are provided to clean your hands. The seafood buffet is $168 and you can order everything, as many times as you like. The buffet is contactless. The food is served to you at your table. Because the food is served in a manner that is based on a shared dining experience. All guests at the table have to order either buffet or Prix Fix menu. My order of Rockefeller oysters, and clams were simply the best I ever tasted. The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.
