Everything is fresh and delicious. There was three of us and we ordered one chicken Alfredo with one small pizza and it was enough for us all.

Vodka rigatoni

Chose to stop here out of all the Italian places in Little Italy due to the kindness of the employee working the front steps. And man, am I glad we did. This pasta was fantastic. Perfectly cooked, and the vodka sauce was divine. Came fairly quickly given that we ordered several dishes at dinnertime. Genuinely ruined my store-bought vodka sauce for me.

10/10. everything about this place was a 10. we got alfredo sauce to dip our bread in and it was DELICIOUS!! i ordered the penne alla vodka pasta and it left me speechless. the staff was so friendly and welcoming. the restaurant is quite and would be so perfect for a date night! highly recommend this restaurant

Charsu and I came here for lunch. The prices were on par with other places for lunch. The prices were fair but, it didn't really seem like a lunch discount. I got a Shrimp Fra Diavolo for $20. My friend got a plain spaghetti with marinara for $11. The restaurant had a cozy feel to it. They were streaming a live tennis game when we arrived. The restaurant had good AC. We were served cold bread while waiting for our entrees. I didn't mind the bread being a bit colder than room temperature. However, my friend said it was disappointing that it wasn't warm. The food was tasty. The pasta was al dente. The sauce tasted fresh and was very flavorful. I also got tons of cheese and fresh cracked pepper. They do charge an automatic 20% regardless of the size of the party. The service was okay. They had a lot of people on staff but they were looking at the construction going on. I wouldn't say it's the best Italian place but, I found it to be decent quality for the price.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this great Italian spot in Little Italy and can confidently say- I would recommend it.. great service and amazing food

Pesto gnocchi
Jill L.

Mushroom Risoto was creamy, buttery and delicious, it was the favorite. The spicy shrimp Diablo was good, not spicy enough. The pesto gnocchi was amazing. The Pollo picatta, chicken was dry, but sauce was lemony. We had the calamari as an appetizer and it was tender and crispy. Balsamic for the bread was on point

Spaghetti Aglio et Olio - SOOOO GOOD
Regan T.

I've found it - the best aglio e olio in town! It's such a simple dish that leaves no room to hide. The smallest shortcoming (raw garlic, undercooked pasta, overseasoning, etc.) can be disastrous. Fortunately, Amici's rendition is absolutely perfect. It is very garlic heavy but the garlic is cooked down perfectly resulting in an extremely flavorful, almost sweet, umami taste. The pasta was also cooked to perfection - al dente but still slurpable, just how I like it. They were generous with the portion, as well as with the complimentary sides of bread and freshly grated cheese. As close to what you can find in Europe as you can get! Considering this place on Mulberry Street in Little Italy, it does cater heavily to tourists but don't let that deter you. I actually think it's an underrated spot - it doesn't have the flashiest sign or trendiest menu but it's just damn good food at a relatively reasonable price. The service was excellent as well - the employees will say ciao bella here and treat you so well!

Tri Colore Insalata & Penne alla Vodka

Ok by far one of the best Italian restaurants in Little Italy! The Penne Alla Vodka was one of the BEST dishes I've had in a loooooong time & the Tri Colore Insalata was also a refreshing and delicious! The salad was a huge portion size and I could barely finish it. The balsamic dressing was a nice addition to the salad and gave it a classic Italian flavor. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather & their patio was pleasant. The staff was a little slower since it was busy and lunch time, but overall it wasn't too much of a hassle! Just took a moment to get our check after we were done eating. Would recommend this place for food in Little Italy!

Amici Ristorante is such a charming, romantic spot in Little Italy! I loved the ambiance of the outdoor patio and it'd be a perfect date night spot. There's so many options in Little Italy to choose from, but I think we made the right choice. Our server was very friendly and they gave generous portions.

Food is amazing with good authentic variety. Place is clean and friendly staff. We came in around 2:30 and was no waiting. Had a good authentic Italian vibe.

I came during the feast of San gennaro. I understand volume is high and may not reflect normal service. It took a long time to get food and server attention. But the place was busy. Great options. Lobster ravioli was just okay. Servers were very kind and apologetic for delays. Staff overall welcoming. Smaller restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I'll come back again.

With so many options just stopped here because I was tired of walking around. This place looked so cute! The man at the door said 5 min.... It in reality waited about 15/20 in the freeeeezing cold. The menu looked OK, (and it was) Once we got seated we were all grumpy but quickly ordered drinks. The waiter took long to take our food order We ordered Calamari, cheese ravioli, Arancini and fettuccine Alfredo. The food took forever to come out and we were exhausted, my daughter was literally falling asleep at the table. Luckily they bring out bread, and the olive oil on the table was delish! The food was good, the arancini was a little too doughy for my liking but it was decent. The fettuccine pasta seemed a little undercooked but the sauce itself was really good. The ravioli was good! And the calamari was good not too fishy and taste crunchy and well done! Would probably not go back here just because there are so many other options around.

Came back to celebrate a birthday! Great food and location. Everything on the menu is delicious

Food was average. Didn't taste any Marsala in the Chicken and the sausage was not that flavorful.

The ambiance was industrial with a semi-open kitchen, lots of tomato cans and other things for decoration. It was intimate without being super intimate. The staff (Javier) were super attentive, with Javier and the team doing their best to make us feel very welcome, unobtrusively clearing tables, and doing everything right to make the dining experience entirely about us. The truffle pasta dish was amazing. Fresh pasta, very good. Well balanced. Guest reported that the fra diaviolo pizza was very good, but spicy. It does carry heat, so be careful. The chicken parm is also good, but a lot. The pistachio gelato was also very good, as was the port wine. The Galliano was great - that they had it - but they asked if I wanted it neat or on the rocks. I asked for it neat, but was surprised they served it in a rock glass; it should be in an apertive glass like a port or other cordial. Definitely recommend versus some of the other places for Italian nearby.

We always start with the spicy kale caesar and meatballs - both were SUPERB and didn't disappoint. We switched up our mains and ordered the pacchieri and a Valentine's special branzino and both were AMAZING. My fav of the two was the pasta, and my partnered liked the branzino more, but again, both were DELISH! We definitely were too full for dessert but decided to try the tiramisu and honestly I'm glad we did. It was INSANELY good and great way to cap off our dinner! Side note- their Photo Booth sucks and don't email the photo to you- you'll lose a dollar and won't get it back.

The staff is extremely cordial, polite and attentive, and at the top of their game. To begin with the flavorful oil with the bread was just delicious. And a great beginning. We have six of us all ordering different things and everybody absolutely loved their meals. Of course, being biased I thought mine was the favorite of the table. I got the seafood Cartocci, which was absolutely incredible. Another item that was fantastic was the carbonara with the only complaint being it was missing peas, but still extremely flavorful plenty full and delicious. Other items ordered were the eggplant Parmesan, the Bolognese, The gnocchi and the baked ziti. All were delicious. If you ordered the espresso martinis stating it's the best they've ever tasted. Me being a wine drinker loved the wine selection and we had a beautiful bottle of Valpolicella this has become one of our favorite restaurants in New York, and hopefully will return with future visits.

The shift manager welcomed us by keeping the front door open for the entire group to enter, and repeated the same when we were leaving. The interior lighting was dimmer than what the photos are showing. It would be ideal for a romantic dinner if the tables were spaced further apart. Instead, they were so close that the back my chair was nearly touching the back of the chair of the next table. When Wife - who sat by the wall - wanted to get out of the table, I had to get out of my chair and pushed it into the table in order for her to do that. It didn't help that the restrooms - one for each gender - could only accommodate one customer at a time. There was a 12-minute wait line to use the men's. As for the customized tour group menu, it was recited orally by the waiter. Like at Tick Tock Diner's Day 1 dinner, I asked him to repeat the menu and ordered the rigatoni a la vodka and Sprite. Wife had lasagna tradizionale and lemonade, and Son had spaghetti bolognese and Coke. Speaking as someone that doesn't care for Italian cuisine, the rigatoni could use real vodka. If it had any, I did not taste it. The pasta sauce was very similar in flavor to the traditional Italian spaghetti. Though noticeably salty (but nowhere near as Tick Tock's chicken noodle soup), it was reasonably tasty. After our entrees, we were each served a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Wife and I were in agreement that the waiters were impeccable. After we sat at our table, they brought out the complimentary basket of bread, three glasses of water, and three plates of salads for appetizers. Every waiter knew his role. One was assigned to our table, another had a pitcher of water to refill glasses, and yet another showed up with a cheese grater when the entrees were served. The cheese grater waiter asked if we wanted any cheese and how much. But the service wasn't perfect. We weren't ask about drinks until after the entree orders were taken, and the drinks were served while we were far along in chowing down our food. Lookin at the decor in general, I noticed a birdcage at the opposite corner from our table. This place could easily be turned into a Halloween attraction with little effort. Paesano's is the only restaurant in the program that I wouldn't mind coming back again, but I will stop short of recommending it. More space between the tables is appreciated.

Even though it was peak time on a friday, the host found a way to seat us. The food was awesome, especially the green tagliatelle. Would definitely go back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Value: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Food: We ordered the bruschetta, lasagna, and green tagliatelle with boar ragu. The bread for the table was a single focaccia about 5" in diameter and maybe 1.5" tall. It wasn't the dense, oily focaccia you typically see, but a moist and fluffy bread almost like a dinner roll. The bruschetta was very flavorful, but slightly disappointing because it used the same foccacia. The lasagna had great flavor and texture. The tagliatelle was the highlight of the meal - the pasta was cooked perfectly and truffle oil and shavings shone through. Service: Service was awesome. In addition to helping resolve our reservation issue, the staff were helpful in suggesting dishes and were prompt and communicative Value: The pastas are in the $25-$30 range and the bruschetta was $22. Thats pretty standard for the area for good pasta, but maybe a little much for the bread. Atmosphere: Even considering we were here the night before valentines day, the place was surprisingly subdued and laid back. Disrupting this calm was a rather loud thumping sound track emanating from the wall speakers. Service was fine, but we were immediately hit with the disappointing news that there was only one beer available (Peroni) and it was suggested that we might have better luck with a more extensive wine list. Starting things off, the pea, asparagus, fried mini artichoke, and fava bean salad was delicious, if needing perhaps a touch more acidity. The focaccia bread was okay, but a very small portion at $10. The agnolotti was also fine, but a rather also a rather smallish portion and nearly $40. The rigatoni in a carbonara style tasted off, with a bitterness on the palate. I don't think this astringency was intended and it raised questions for us about whether it was safe to eat. We did not finish it. Over all, this is an expensive restaurant especially for pasta dishes. There was a mandatory 22 percent tip which seemed unusual and an option was given to tip above that amount. I might have given Forsythia three stars if it wasn't for the problem with the rigatoni. I don't think we will be returning.
