Finally got the chance to try this spot after living Uptown for a few years now (I'm late, I know!)…read moreI'm so happy to have a spot like this nearby. You can't tell how cool it is from the outside, but the space inside is so huge & unique. The different rooms showed the different vibes and uses for the space. Perfect for parties or any kind of celebration. Now for the food- 10/10. My bf & I only ended up getting a few appetizers and drinks which were filling enough. The duck mofongo was outstanding. We also got the duck bao buns which were delicious. I was referred to this place by a fellow foodie and love referring my friends when they're in the Bx. Looking forward to going back for a full dinner.

We ordered the appetizer wings (approx 7 wingettes) They were deliciously crunchy with a delicious mango sauce. My daughter ordered the skirt steak. It was bland. Overall the appetizers and drinks were great everything else not so good.

Llamé al restaurante para informarles, y la gerente me respondió que, si no me gustaba, lo cocinara yo en mi casa. It's the kind of place where you'll definitely be "getting cozy" with the, servers, and the tables next to you because they cram you in there. Even on a Tuesday, the place was jumping. I was scrounging around Uptown hoping to find quality late night eats. Yelp told me the place…read moreacross the street was open, so I made that my destination. Upon arrival, it was not what I thought from reviews and pictures. Las Palmas was also listed as being open late, so I crossed the street to check it out. This was more in line with what I was thinking. Unfortunately, the posted hours are incorrect. Instead of having an hour to sit and be served, I had ten minutes to order take out. The interior was cute and I can imagine people here for a date or eating with the family. I decided to go with tacos. An order of fish and one birria. There are three tacos to an order for $16. I think that may be slightly costlier than nearby establishments, but not by much. I worried about the state my tacos because I had a ways to travel. But my concern was for naught. The bag and food were so considerately packed, nothing spilled. Including the consommé in a cup for the birria. Having the first fish taco, made me instantly decide I want to try this hot and fresh! It has a heaping serving of pico and a slice of avocado on top. My one complaint is that I needed more fish. Not sure if that's an accurate grumble or just me being late night hungry/greedy. I warmed the consommé a little before dipping the tacos. The onion and cilantro taste was perfect. The meat was well seasoned and melty good. Not fatty or tough like other birria I've had. I would absolutely return to this spot and try more of the menu

I ordered Mofongo with Steak for my meal. The Steak also came with onion and peppers. This dish was plated beautifully, with a pop of color from the veggies. There was boldly flavorful, savory sauce on the side. The Mofongo was perfectly made, well seasoned, while the steak was tender and juicy with grill marks. The sauce made the Mofongo even tastier. Service was solid. Our waitress was attentive and everything came out in a timely manner. I would return to try the Snapper Fillet, Fried Pork Chops, and Mamey Shake.
