So. My husband and I had a date night and with a baby it has been a while. We decided we wanted some Italian and chose here. Let me tell you... I have been here before and it has always been amazing and tonight was even better. I ordered the farfalle and my husband had the squid ink linguine. Both incredible. Seriously made with love. The shrimp in the farfalle was perfectly seasoning and even my husband's octopus was tender. I hate octopus and loved it. Claudio our server was soo fantastic and reccomended the best things. And then.. We had dessert. Holy batman. Listen. Seriously listen. The pistachio tart with orange is one of the best desserts I've had and it's seasonal so it's only there for a limited time. So get it now. Now I say! It blew my mind. The owner also is soo nice and always remembers a customer. Anyway..highly reccomend.

Amazing experience. We went as a group and tried a couple of their pastas and fire wood oven pizzas. So good. I really liked their beer salad. It was so fresh and different. Staff was very sweet and accommodating to allergy needs and seating us despite close to closing time. It was a truly family run business and they care for you.

Since the restaurant was on the verge of changing their menu, a lot of the items were not available like osso bucco and some other. There were a lot of special items like over 10+ which was verbally dictated by our server. He must have good memory to have memorized all these items. All that was good but he wasn't wearing a mask and so did all the other servers in the restaurant. I personally prefer our servers to wear mask because they are in close contact with so many guests. Anyways this is my personal preference as I am aware that mask mandate has been lifted. So for him to talk so much, I am sure some saliva may have spread on our table which was a turn off for me. Aside from that, Squid ink seafood pasta was a bit on the salty side and the portion was small. I don't think it was worth the $38 price tag. The pizza was soft and thin though but I wasn't aware that the sauce was spicy. Stopped by this restaurant when we visited a friend in Aurora. Sorry but I probably won't be back.

This place serves gourmet Italian Italian (not Italian American food). Calamari Grigliatti was decent but a rather small serving. Grilled calamari is quite unusual - most places fry theirs. Got the linguini with gorgonzola sauce & walnuts. It was a bit small but good, with a generous portion of gorgonzola & walnuts. Pizza capricciosa was good with a nice char on the crust, though my dining companion thought there was a bit too much char. If you have a big appetite you may end your meal still hungry, since they don't serve bread.

Finally able to enjoy a great meal in a restaurant !!!! The food was great and the service was great! What more can I say. I know...the steak was wow!! Just perfecProbably a good idea to make reservations. Authentic and great tasting Italian food on the patio. FINALLY!!!

Caramelle chocolate pasta (7 tiny pieces, very expensive) was the highlight of an otherwise average meal. Coal fired oven was overused on overwhelming radicchio salad and underused on flavourless pizza crust. Caesar salad was too sweet. Radicchio salad could benefit from being deconstructed so that the fennel and other ingredients are a bright clean taste contrast. Friendly and casual atmosphere: this is not fine dining but it has expensive fine dining prices. It's in a suburban strip mall. Locally owned.

3.5 stars. New authentic Italian restaurant opened down the street from where I live! After reading up on reviews and drooling over the photos posted on Yelp, I have decided to pay a visit with my date one evening. The service was very welcoming and attentive. Our server was experienced and our meal went very smoothly. We started with a bottle of red wine with some assorted housemade bread. The breads were quite dense, so don't just fill up on bread because the best has yet to come: FRESHLY HOUSEMADE PASTA. I ordered the Venison Spaghetti, and my date ordered their daily special, Seafood Spaghetti in tomato wine sauce. The pasta itself was made to perfection - it was light, and cooked al dente (firm and chewy) just the way I like it. The Seafood pasta was definitely the highlight of my night - it tasted heavenly with the delicious sauce and lots of seafood - I literally ate half of my date's dinner lol. My Venison meat had a very gamey taste - certainly not something everyone can handle, but I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. We also shared the Coffee panna cotta and the Tiramisu. Both were delicious, and absolutely perfect for coffee lovers. The only thing was that the inside of the panna cotta felt a bit frozen; it had the crunchy ice crystals inside. Another thing that I was not exactly pleased was the dish presentation of a couple dishes. If you compare my photos to the ones our CM Kris U. took, you would be able to spot the difference for the Venison Spaghetti and the Octopus appetizer. Nonetheless, I would come back to try more items! I really enjoy Italian food, and I especially love pasta. There is still plenty of room to grow and make improvements - I understand that they are still new. Keep up the good work, Casa Carbone! #supportlocalbusiness

Appetizers

As always, this is a diamond in the town. The experience is superb from the second we stepped in. We were warmly welcomed and when I found out one of my favorite dishes is no longer served as it's a summer dish, I got a recommendation on another appetizer. We had the smoke duck and bone marrow as the appetizer, plates licking good. The pasta, do I even need to say, is perfectly done. We finished off the dinner with a beautiful crème brûlée. An extra note was, I ordered a coffee martini, it was reasonably fine but the bar tender came up to the table and said he was not satisfied so he just offered to make a new one for me when I didn't request at all. Love this attitude of shooting for excellence. Once again, thank you for a memorable evening.

Diavola

Review is based on the 3 items ordered: diavola, Al mare pizzas and Lamb ragu tagliatelle. Squid in the pizzq was partially undercooked, and there was too much sauce on the pizzas making i soggy fast. The pizzas are thin so I understand if they were thicker that might not have been the problem. Lamb ragu was okay felt the pasta was over cooked not al dente. Overqll I would try other dishes because of the reviews etc but won't order any of these 3 dishes again.

Cavatelli in a tomato sauce

This is a really good Italian restaurant. It's got a real trendy vibe to it with a varied and unique menu. The service is good and the food is delicious. For appetizers I had some fried calamari that were prepared exceptionally well, with some olives and a nice dipping sauce. There were many options on the menu but I decided to just have a simple bowl of cavatelli in a perfectly seasoned tomato sauce. The cavatelli were done al dente and hit the mark. It was my first time coming here and I intend to come back for sure, this is a gem of a restaurant.

Tenderloin steak

Tried something new this weekend as our standard was booked up. The service was very good. Food was delicious. I was expecting the duck appetizer to be warm as I think it would have been better. Otherwise a delicious meal.

Highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was great - from the decor to the service to the open kitchen concept. Service was above and beyond, with our server recommending a great wine (bonus as he didn't recommend the most expensive!) and made sure we were well taken care of. Food was top notch, with homemade pasta. Only disappointment may have been the pizza as it didn't have that slight char and could have been left in a bit longer. Overall though, highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting or living in the area.

My wife had two Apps instead of an entree; Portobello stuffed mushroom & grill calamari which she really enjoyed. We shared a chicken pesto feta pizza, which Kai our server recommended, very good choice. I had the veal portafolio which was a great preparation and good variety of complimentary vegetables on the plate, plus a very savoury dish, made to order. This is an established restaurant, with many Moses reviews, but I was impressed with our experience. Great wine selection, little pricy

I brought a group of 12 for a birthday dinner, and from the moment we arrived, we were treated with utter contempt by a server named Gustavo, who apparently also owns the establishment. The disrespect started immediately. While we were simply organizing our seating (before even ordering), he became visibly angry and hostile. After our appetizers arrived, he completely abandoned the table. Our used plates were never cleared, we were never asked how the food was, and we waited over an hour for our main courses. When we tried to order another round of drinks while waiting, Gustavo told us he was "way too busy" to take our order and that we "needed to figure it out" despite us being ready to order. When I politely mentioned that I hadn't ordered an appetizer and was very hungry, asking if my pizza could come out, he snapped, "You will get your order when all the others come out. I'm not going to push ahead your order for that." The "owner" then had the audacity to lecture us, raising his voice and telling us, "this is what I mean with you guys," because we had adjusted our seats at the beginning of the night. When I finally asked for the bill to escape the situation, he brought me someone else's check. When I pointed out the error, he blamed us again, laughed in our faces, and scoffed. When we told him we wanted to speak to someone above him, he condescendingly told us, "You're not in this industry, you don't know." Save your money and go somewhere where the staff, and the owner actually value their customers. Gustavo is unprofessional, disrespectful, and has no business being in the hospitality industry. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

The atmosphere was polished without feeling stiff, elegant but still very comfortable, and on the evening we visited it was pleasantly calm rather than crowded, which made the whole meal feel even more enjoyable. The staff was also very friendly, and that warmth added a nice personal touch to the experience. We started with a few dishes to share, and everything felt thoughtfully prepared. The pasta was rich, comforting, and full of flavor, the lamb was tender and satisfying, and the fish was beautifully cooked with a nice balance of freshness and smokiness. Even the presentation had that refined look without trying too hard. By the time dessert arrived, I was already happy, but it ended the meal on such a cozy note. Overall, this is the kind of place that feels elegant and understated at the same time. Definitely a great spot near Oak Ridges when you want a dinner that feels special but still relaxed.

The dough was missing crunch and the sauce didn't taste super fresh. I would stick to ordering pasta at this location. Also ordered tiramisu and it was just ok imo. The tiramisu was still a little frozen in the middle lol. Overall, I think the Thornhill Woods location is better but if I'm in the area I'll order pasta here again. There's only a couple pastas I haven't tried yet. Oh yea, they also removed the smoked prosciutto pizza off the menu (BIG SAD). It was such a TASTY pizza when I had it at the Thornhill location. It had a unique, sweet apricot sauce base! Wonder why they chose to remove it but owner, if you're reading this, BRING IT BACK!!!

You come in and order at the front then take a seat if you're eating in. Considering this, it takes a surprisingly long amount of time (15 minutes or so) to get your food. Pepperoni pizza - Big sized rectangular shaped pizza. The dough was terrible, it dense and tiny bubbly, kinda like baking soda was the leavening agent... I would describe the dough as a dominos thin crust with baking soda added. As for toppings, I would have liked more tomato sauce and cheese to balance out the crust. Would not recommend getting the pizza here. Pistachio Funghi pasta - I only had a couple bites but the pasta was cooked well. The pistachio funghi sauce was tasty as well, pistachio bits added a bit of crunch to the pasta which is nice. A bit pricey but nice to try. After looking at reviews, I think my experience should only be limited to the Aurora Levetto. Will have to try else where to get another Levetto experience.

The restaurant is brightly lit with lots of natural sunlight, the decor is a mix of elegance and rustic at the same time. It's got an open and inviting feel. Our server was fantastic - very patient with a large group like ours, able to tell us right off the bat what is and is not customizable, recommendations of when to order to ensure flow works out. Food: Charbroiled octopus - one of my favorite dishes I tried - perfectly cooked, has a nice char, good meaty bits but not chewy, has a really nice chili oil on it. I can not stress how much I recommend getting this if you enjoy seafood. 5/5. Chorizo appetizer - comes out in a little pig plate with an open flame underneath. The chorizo itself is good with a nice spice, dense meat. The best part of this dish (IMO) is the spiced apple sauce on the side that cuts the richness of the sausage with a sweet and tangy apple and a little spice kick. 4.5/5. Bread - fresh baked bread with butter, a pumpkin jam and cheese. Everything on that plate works so well together. I definitely recommend this as an all rounding pleasing appetizer - 5/5. Beets - the beets were fresh with a vibrant orange colour. The apple, walnut and goat cheese all work together. I do wish this dish had a bit more but it works. 4.5/5. Brussel sprouts - amazing deep fried brussel sprouts - makes me want to always deep fry them for life. The spicy harissa sauce works well with the sprouts. Crunchy peanuts on top add both a texture and nuttiness that is refreshing to the brussel sprouts. 5/5. Oysters - super fresh, absolutely delicious without any condiments needed. Loved them. 5/5. Paella - this is definitely large enough for 2 people to eat so consider sharing unless you have a monster appetite. As with all their plates, it is beautifully constructed. The shrimp are huge and meaty. Mussels are plentiful, lots of chorizo and bay scallops. The rice has that really nice briny seafood flavor from the broth. It was just a teeny tiny bit overly salty to my taste but it's cut with the dollops of sour cream. Has this really nice low level heat that just works without burning your mouth. 4.5/5. Lamb sirloin - great crust on the lamb and cook as well. Flavorful sear and crust on the lamb with a soft tender meaty interior. Can't go wrong with- 5/5. Branzino - delicious flaky and light with a great grill. If you're interested in a fresh fish, this is a good choice. Was a special on the menu - 5/5.
