    Pollo Casa Capitano. Delicious!

Great service. The food was delicious and the wine selection was great. Wish we had gone earlier in the season.

The short version: -incredibly long wait for food -poor staff communication -food was hit or miss The long version: We had a large group and reservations for 7:30 on a Saturday night. Within 10 minutes our party of 8 had our drinks and bread, so that came quickly and was good! We ordered our appetizers and food at the same time, and though the appetizers came quickly enough, the entrees took far too long. Apps came within about 20 minutes of ordering which was reasonable as it was fresh and tasty. However our entrees took over 45 minutes from when the appetizers were delivered. In this gap of time our waitress stopped over once, about 20 minutes in, to tell us it would be a moment. What an understatement. Despite the painfully long wait, the food itself was for the most part just okay. Pasta is made fresh which is evident, but the lobster in the Alfredo was over cooked while the scallops were undercooked and still partially transparent. This unevenly cooked seafood aspect carried through a zuppa dish not pictured here, which was a disappointing result of such a long wait. The pasta sauces were tasty however and the personal pizzas we ordered were pretty good. Dessert again was a bit of a disappointment, as the Irish cheesecake was a confused dish that had hints of coconut and cheesecake and mint, and the cannolis were nothing to take note of, also a strawberry cheesecake also not pictured here was fine in the taste of the cheesecake but the topping was almost that of strawberry jam. Casa Capitano definitely needs to work on the pacing of their meals and consistency of food quality. At the time our meals were being prepared there were no other tables being served so we all had a hard time wrapping our heads around how it could have possibly taken an hour + to receive our entrees. Potential for this establishment to have 4 stars, but they definitely need to put in the work.

BEST FILET EVER. Everything here is scratch made, the best ingredients and sooooo delicious! Bearnaise sauce is available, the only place I've ever seen it on the menu. My steak was thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. The pasta was perfect and had good flavor, meatballs were spicy, but yummy. Service is excellent. The ambiance is lovely- soft music, candles, cool airplane decor. The restroom is clean and easily accessible. Outside seating is available, weather permitting. And the view? Spectacular Lake Champlain! WOW! You cannot go wrong here. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Lasagna was ok, at best. Way overpriced, no salads or sides. Slow service. Skip this restaurant.

I was excited to try this place with the reviews but was a little apprehensive when we pulled up - small strip mall that has seen better days but we were hungry and figured we would give it a shot. The interior is cute -- but small. Not many tables but thankfully we were on the early side for dinner so only one other table was occupied when we arrived. We quickly decided what we wanted to eat and placed our order. Our salads came out fast and they were very delicious. I am a sucker for black olives so was thrilled to see them on the salad. I noticed that the other table (a couple) were still waiting for their meal and it showed up a short time later. A few more tables were seated and we were still waiting for our meal. It became evident that there was one server and one cook. When our meal showed up, we were not disappointed. The sauce on my chicken parm was savory with just a hint of sweetness. And it had chunks of tomatoes in it - huge plus for this tomato loving gal! I don't know where they got this chicken breast but it was huge! It was very well seasoned and probably one of the best chicken parms I've ever had in my life! For dessert, my hubby decided to get the cannoli dip. I'm bummed that I cannot eat dairy cuz that dessert was massive! My husband barely put a dent in it and took the rest home for a snack later on that evening. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area!

We ordered a large salad that came with bread and butter. Very soft fluffy Italian bread. The spaghetti with meat sauce ease was quite a lot of meat sauce. Very generous with meat and sausage meat. One of us ordered a side of meatballs and those were quite large. The chicken parmigiana was tender. And also smoke. Everything was reasonably priced and we all needed a doggy gag. Service was friendly and prompt. We will need to come back again.

The host who sat us was friendly and greeted us with a smile. Our server was also friendly and helped with menu questions. She did say her favorite thing was the Alfredo sauce that I did not happen to try but will make sure to try if I stop here again. She sold it well especially a Cajun version they have. Also despite the BBQ menu picture I posted they are currently rebuilding their BBQ so it's not currently available. The inside did feel a little dated overall as from some reviews and the date they were posted this place has been around for awhile. But I assume it's a spot where many locals come often and gather to see each other while grabbing a bite or drink. Both my wife and I didn't want anything too crazy with a long ways to still go on our trip. Each of us chose one of their wraps, I went with chicken ranch and she went with the chicken Cesar. Both were tasty but I preferred the chicken tenders used in mine over the grilled in the Cesar. Both were very tasty though. They have a large variety of offerings on their menu, wraps, burgers, pizza, pastas, soups, salads, etc. Everyone will find something they can eat. When you are brought the bill you are told its price for cash and card will be charged a 3% fee. So if you have cash it will be cheaper so you are aware. Overall prices aren't the highest or lowest kinda average in my mind. I thought the service was great and friendly, food was good but not mind blowing. Worth checking out.
