To be honest it was still a little expensive considering they were driving from Wilmette to Northfield to Glencoe, but less than the other: $840 for a 3 hour minimum for a party bus of 28. We also didn't need it for the entire 3 hours, but the options I found were either one way or 3-4 hour minimums so this was the best deal. I found their communication to be stellar both via email and text. The bus driver was on time and the kids had no trouble locating the party bus when they came out of the dance and I've heard it was one of many party busses. A few of my daughter's friends hopped on for the way home and commented that this bus was way nicer than the one they took to the dance from another company. Overall, it was a success. The parents could have easily driven these kids ourselves, but the party bus elevated the experience and the kids all seemed to enjoy the VIP treatment.

Instead, the drivers insisted the buses needed to return to their start location half an hour earlier than the contracted time because they failed to leave a buffer before the next reservation. Drivers did not seem knowledgeable about the routes, and even went to the wrong location at one point, refusing to listen to the passengers who pointed out their error. Another bus dropped passengers off in the wrong location, though luckily only a few blocks away. Overall, 312 Limo was incredibly disorganized and unprofessional! Absolutely wild response from Dan! Yes, it was 312 Limo, and you personally spoke to people from my group when the wrong buses arrived and during the later mishaps.

The man on the phone said he was the owner and they were a small company who didn't contract out their rides and they always made sure the limos were clean, on time and the drivers knew where they were going. We reserved the Chrysler 300 and booked for our event which was yesterday. We requested and were assured we would have glassware for champagne in the limo as well as a connection for the iPod (both were in the contract we agreed to). When the limo showed up to pick us up (a party of 10) it was not the 300, it was a contract limo, there were no glasses for the champagne and no iPod hookup. We ended up drinking the champagne out of paper cups. We were told we would be given a number to contact the return driver when we were dropped off but the driver who dropped us off was too busy angling for an additional tip beyond the 20% included in our pre-paid charge. When it was time to pick up the return driver was repeatedly calling our home after 5 minutes of waiting and then was not in the correct location to pick us up. She said we needed to walk around the building with 5 women in heels on an iced over sidewalk because it would take her 20 minutes to drive around. I told here to go ahead and drive because we weren't walking and she was there in less than 5 minutes. Then to top it off, she doesn't know where she is going on the way home and misses turns. Everything we were told when we booked turned out to bogus. Save your money and find another company! In response to your comments on my post; The driver who picked us up implied that he was just a fill in driver who knew nothing about our plans. He said he was our driver because you were too busy (nothing about safety) so he was filling in. Plus, if safety was the primary concern, wouldn't we have had the SUV limo for the return trip? By the time we were coming home there was even more snow then when we left for our event. Also, if you decided to switch limos a phone call in advance would have been appreciated. The iPod hookup was discussed with you (and I am sure it was your company) and was assured it was included. Also, if the driver who dropped us off at the event had given us the phone number for the driver who was going to pick us up, as they were supposed to, the wait time would have been much less. The wait time would have been even less if the pick-up driver had gone to the same place we had been dropped off. Getting lost on the way back also seems to be something that a little coordination between drivers would have prevented. The original driver knew where to pick us up and where he dropped us off. If this basic information had been shared it would seem that several of these problems could have been avoided. In general, renting a limo is not an inexpensive decision and one where you don't know what makes one service better than another. We called around to try and prevent these types of issues and were assured that they wouldn't happen. In the end, they did anyway which makes me believe what we were told was just to get us to pay the fee (in advance) and then provide whatever service you wanted regardless of any assurances given. I just hope that my post can help educate others about how limo services operate so they can make the best decision for how to spend their money.
