This was my third CCW class overall and, without a doubt, the best one I've taken! My first class was to obtain my CCW in Orange County, my second was after I moved to Riverside County, and this most recent class was for my renewal. Since I was renewing, I only attended the required 8-hour course, so I can't speak to the full 16 hour class. What I can say is that the 8 hours I attended were outstanding. The first half of the class was classroom setting. Everett did an excellent job keeping the class engaged. Instead of just reading from a PowerPoint and rushing through the material, he used real world videos, encouraged discussion, and walked us through different scenarios. That interactive approach made the information much easier to understand and remember. You could tell he genuinely wanted everyone to learn, not just sit through a requirement. The second half was held at a private members only range, and that's where this class really separated itself from the others I've taken. In previous CCW courses, the range portion felt like, "Here's the target, qualify, and you're done." Everett took a completely different approach. He spent time making sure everyone understood proper firearm handling, safe draw techniques, shooting fundamentals, and accuracy before moving into qualification. We worked through drills, warmups, and practical exercises that helped build confidence and reinforce good habits. It felt more like professional firearms training than a simple CCW qualification course. What impressed me most was that Everett genuinely cared about developing responsible and capable firearm owners, not just helping people pass a test. That level of dedication and instruction is something I haven't experienced in my previous CCW classes. If you're considering a CCW course, renewal, or additional firearms training, I highly recommend Carver Training Solutions. This was by far the most valuable CCW class I've attended, and I'll definitely be signing up for more of his courses in the future :) read more

I recently completed my CCW course with Everett, owner of Carver Training Solutions, and I can't recommend him highly enough. As a Marine Corps veteran and highly skilled shooter, Everett immediately inspired confidence. From the classroom to the range, he takes the time to teach--not just qualify--his students. He starts with the fundamentals of firearm safety, grip, stance, sight alignment, and target presentation, then gradually builds your skills throughout the course. His instruction is clear, patient, and professional, making both beginners and experienced shooters feel comfortable and confident. I've taken two other CCW classes, and they were basically, "Point, shoot, hit the target, and pass the test." Everett's course was completely different. He genuinely wants his students to become safe, competent, and proficient shooters. His depth of knowledge is obvious, and watching him demonstrate his skills shows just how experienced he is. If you're looking for an instructor who truly cares about teaching the proper fundamentals--not just getting you through the qualification--I highly recommend Carver Training Solutions. I'll definitely be back for additional training to continue improving my shooting skills. Thank you, Everett, for your professionalism, patience, and dedication to helping your students become better shooters. read more

Today our group did a private training session with Carver Training Solutions, and it was a great experience. From the beginning, Everett was friendly, easy to talk to, and made everyone feel comfortable. He did a great job explaining the fundamentals, range rules, and safety practices in a way that was easy to understand without feeling overwhelming. What stood out most was the amount of individual attention he gave each of us. He spent time working with everyone on grip, hand placement, pressure, and other small adjustments that made a noticeable difference in our shooting. The feedback was specific to each person and helped us tighten our groupings throughout the session. We also worked through several drills that felt practical and applicable to real-world situations, which made the training both useful and engaging. Our entire group left feeling more confident than when we arrived, and we're already talking about scheduling another session.
