Amazing ice cream. Nice staff which is usually teens. More seating would be nice though

Our family has been going here for many years. Now staff recently changed and have very poor customer service skills. There are a few young teenage girls working here who are straight faced and have an attitude. They act like we are bothering them to get the order and have barely any response when spoke to. Carvel Please train these girls on customer service. It is disrespectful to act this way especially at a place like this where families are in good spirits and these girls are rude and dismissive setting a bad tone in what used to be a great place. They seem to need someone to teach them how to smile and be pleasant. read more

This carvel went down hill with the new owners. They do not know how to make the dashers. Went 2 separate times and they made the strawberry dasher wrong. I went again last night.and they made the peanut butter dasher wrong. They need to learn how to make the signature products. I was extremely disappointed. read more

If i was able to put no stars i would, the customer service was horrible. I brought my autistic brother and as my brother is having a hard time choosing the flavors 2 employees started to laugh and make jokes about him. I will never come here again. Do not recommed going here! read more

The first time I couldn't tip at any place that kids are behind a counter. The young blonde that served us today was just NASTY. I have no clue her relation to the owner of any, but someone higher up in the small business needs to train this young lady how to speak and behave appropriately. I get she probably doesn't want to work during the summer, but just pretend. Her sharp mouth and disrespect was too much. Unfortunately, as my family maintained composure with her disposition being as nasty as it was, the other two employees entertained her. This child definitely needs an adult higher up to speak to her. If she behaves like that at home, that's on her parents. If she continues to behave like that working, a some type of individual who overlooks the business needs to a have a conversation. read more

Amazing ice cream right in the heart of Rockville Center! I've been coming to this place since I was a kid, and it is a hot spot to go celebrate after school concert or theatre performances. The store is very clean which is important, and they offer many dessert options. They have a freezer with ice cream cakes, pints of ice cream, and other items that can be quickly bought and are premade (including dipped cones ). In addition, you can also put in a customisable order of ice cream cakes and other desserts that they offer. They also have many weekly deals such as buy one get one free sundaes on Wednesdays! It's a Carvel. You like it or you don't. I do. It had about 4 stools which is as much as any other Carvel I've been to. Tonight had soft serve mint. Very good but after awhile it gets quite minty. Also tried soft serve pistachio. That was awesome. read more

Looked decent inside but refused to honor the Carvel Birthday club coupon. Come on it's for a free SMALL sundae.... was it really worth not honoring the coupon to lose a customer? It's not that I'm complaining about not getting something free, but it took quite a bit of my time to sign up for the program, find the email they sent, turn on the printer and prit it out, wait around for an hour until my neighbor could go then drive all the way over there, only to find that they refused the coupon. Oh, by the way, I was planning on buying stuff to go along with the free sundae, like a full sized sundae for my neighbor, flying saucers or pack of ice cream cupcakes. Ended up going to a much friendlier Carvel who honored the coupon and I made additional purchases there. read more

What's better on a warm summer evening or a nice spring evening other than an ice cream from Carvel? They make the best softserve here and make all sorts of great creations. The kids that serve / make the ice cream are very nice and take good care of special requests. Although it's not as inexpensive as it once used to be, it's still worth the money for a good treat -- although the flying saucers aren't what they once used to be. read more

This Carvel is usually average. I went tonight after a school event for the birthday 85 cent cone night. After waiting 20 minutes while many locals cut in line with friends for their discounted cones, I was informed that you could only purchase one ice cream per person. Since I had dropped one child and my husband off at home after the school event, I couldn't bring a treat home to them. Nowhere in the printed Carvel birthday advertising did it mention this limit and the person behind the counter just shrugged and advised that she was doing as she was told. It was absolutely ridiculous and extremely disappointing, to say the least - especially after looking forward to ending the day there. I will think twice before giving them my business in favor of other nearby Carvels. read more

On the website the peanut butter treasure is chocolate ice cream with ribbons of peanut butter .. I asked for that and got a vanilla ice cream with Reese's (I don't like vanilla) also asked for extra hot fudge and there is none .. read more

Sorry to be a party pooper with this poor review -but I found hat the staff at this LIMITED SERVICE Carvel to be CLUELESS. I asked if they sold Carvel Number cakes and got clueless stares from the staff. They were also not helpful in directing me to the full service Carvels.... the "old school" ones that carry the full line of traditional Carvel products and are usually the free standing Carvel buildings that have the 50s look. Carvel stores like this one are just a notch above the Carvel freezer case in the supermarkets... I suggest true Carel fans look for a real Carvel store. Do not know if any exist in Nassau County but in Queens there is a great REAL Carvel at 5612 Metropolitan Ave in Ridgewood Queens. and for those near Brooklyn another great REALCarvel store is at Avenue Y and Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn. read more

Came in here one night with a VERY pregnant friend of mine....told the kid to make sure he gives her extra hot fudge since shes "eating" for 2. The kid went nuts with all of the toppings. Recession Scmecession....when everyone else is cutting back you can count on Carvel to go the extra hot fudge for ya. read more

This Carvel kicks the ass of all other Carvels that I have frequented in the past. The selection is unmatched, they have a wide array of ice cream treats. Different sundaes ready to grab, many favors of flying saucers, chipwiches, ice cream oreos, etc. I've been to a few Carvels on the island and I've never seen one this big before. I will definitely be back, more than once. read more

I love Carvel. I especially enjoy eating their ice cream sandwiches. Their store in Rockville Centre is my favorite location to go to. Their young employees are always pleasant and helpful. The ice cream is always fresh and well presented. read more
