Came here after dinner one night while in the area. It's a carvel we liked it. No complaints here.

Strong in their COVID game when I stopped in a week or three ago, this Carvel has blocked off most of their lobby area and allow only one person inside at a time. There is a big plexiglass partition and they are doing a pretty solid job of maintaining distances. I had a craving for ice cream and Carvel satisfied. Icecream swirl in a cup should be tall and not flat to the surface, giving you hardly any icecream, and not warm where it's melted on the sides. A waste of money. read more

I don't visit Carvel. In fact, this was my first visit in ten years. I had a hankering for a vanilla soft soft cone w rainbow sprinkles. I decided to drop by my local Carvel. Wow. They are doing an incredible job of keeping everyone safe. Only one person or pair is allowed in at a time. You have to wait outside. They are fast and efficient. This location is very clean. I was happy with my experience, and I believe this location deserves to be commended. read more

This location is kind of gross - I've been here a few times and the ice cream and toppings always look "old". They get packed due to the location but the service there is not too happy to help you. On a Saturday afternoon after a walk in the park, we had the hankering for some ice cream and found ourselves close to home in downtown Oyster Bay, right across the street from our favorite local spot (Wild Honey) We didn't have to wait at all as there was only the two of us in the store. the store owner quickly pointed us to the fat free option and asked us about toppings. I just wanted to let anyone reading this to know that new owners have taken over Carvel ( it's been awhile now) and they couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. The store is brighter & cleaner and if the sundaes weren't so damn expensive I'd be here a lot more often... not to mention the calories...oh the calories!! read more

My family and I LOVE Carvel, but this location honestly is a Nightmare. I have lived in this area for 12 years, I drive out of my way to go to the Carvel in Syosset for a reason....that is because the Ownership and Staff at the SYOSSET location are Amazing. The Carvel Oyster Bay location always takes forever. They have multiple rules for "Sundays" (size, what type of ice cream....never heard of such a thing...its Ice Cream it should be a FUN experience), somehow they always confuse the order....I am so sorry to say that the Customer Service at the Oyster Bay location is horrible. Super nice staff and the place is clean. Love their ice cream sandwiches too. Recently when I got a sundae to-go for my daughter, the owner packaged it up so carefully for her and made sure she had a good grip on the bag. This place is located right on the corner of Audrey Ave & South St (Rt.106) and is always fairly busy. Its relatively clean inside and the pricing is considerably cheaper than the Syossett Carvel. Plus, during the summer its a great place to grab a cone and stroll down Audrey Ave., window shopping and taking in the old world architecture. If you can't find a spot to park on Audrey, there's always the municipal lot behind the Building. read more

I have to start off the staff n the owner jimmy very very very nice people I had one of the girls help me order my daughters cake gosh it tasted amazing n delicious. You can never go wrong w an aide cream cake.also sometimes u may or may not have to wait but hey have some patients we all want ice cream !!! The line moves pretty quick n the young employees are earring some cash so in do respect I give carvel 5 stars n yes there very clean n amazing ice cream !! This place like most of Oyster bay is a dump .I made the mistake of asking for a diet coke and and when it came to ice well it was scooped out with from the ice cream fridge that was probably 5 years old 3.50 for a old coke I then bought 3 cones smoothies I asked the owner for a cone holder did nt have any.Try spending money on cone holders. read more

Great service and staff. Just a note to the customers, whether you're from the town or not, be nice to the staff. I just witnessed a woman yell at an employee because the ice cream she chose from the freezer was not low fat vanilla, but instead chocolate. She threw a whole fit because it wasn't vanilla and since she took a bite of it, they wouldn't be able to resell it anyways. She switched it at the register and when the Young lady told her she couldn't, she told her it was her fault because she asked for vanilla.. It was a chocolate bonnet. Honestly, customers are ridiculous. I'm not a regular, but anytime I come in, i always have the friendliest staff greeting me and helping me get what I need. People need to be respectful of others, especially if they are kids just trying to earn some extra spending money. The kids are doing great and although the ice cream does spill over sometime, it's better to spill a little than to get less than what you pay for! read more
