I was there today, somewhere between 4-5pm. The store was very nice and clean. However, the cleanliness ended there. The lady serving the ice cream was coughing, continuously without a mask and obviously had a cold or something related to one. I will never patronize that location again. read more

Years ago when I first visited this Carvel, it was an original Carvel building surrounded by a huge parking lot. They knocked the building down, building a strip mall and locating Carvel on the right side of the location. The owner had 2 small tables on the right when you first entered the establishment. I came here many times with several of my grandchildren. Of the 6 or 7 different Carvels that I have visited, the ice cream here tastes better. I have eaten hundreds of Banana Barges in the past and theirs was the best. They also have more ice cream making machines than other places. For this reason they have different choices of soft ice cream because many Carvels have only 2 machines. Because of the fact that they have 4 machines, I asked them if I could order Flying Saucers for the net day. They made me a sleeve of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Pistachio. I think they have better ice cream then the other Carvel's in new Rochelle however they handed me a cup half full. The girl was nice and filled it up with ice cream when I asked but I couldn't help but feel a little fat shamed here unless they normally only fill stuff half way. What a set of winners in the cake game! I'd like to send an overdue shout out to the Carvel ice cream store in New Rochelle. Not knowing much about their frosted operations, I called to inquire about a custom birthday cake and asked plenty of questions. The staff I spoke to was attentive, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping me out. When we finally settled on what the cake's theme would be (a Bruce Lee enter the dragon cake?!), the staff member was just as excited about working on it as I was to have it in my round tummy. The final product was a masterpiece of ice creamery and a splash of badassness. It truly made the birthday celebration memorable. So my heartfelt thanks to Carvel's ice cream crew and I'd suggest this branch to any one looking for quality cakes. read more

I'm not sure why a google search of "carvel new rochelle" took me to the location on webster ave, but I am glad I found this location by accident. They have ample parking, the quality of their soft serve is amazing and the people that work here are very nice. I still love dropping by on Wednesdays to take advantage of the buy one get one deals. :). I've had lots of "expensive" ice cream cakes, but nothing beats carvel's classic and "cheap" chocolate/vanilla with crunchies. read more

Filthy!! Floor was dirty- counters were dirty. Girl brings her kid and stays in the back ( who knows if the kid was sick, this is a food establishment after all) instead of helping customers or CLEANING UP!!!!!!!!!!! My son had a medium vanilla milk shake which made him sick. I wonder if the machines. scoops, or pumps ever get cleaned properly?? I doubt it. Disgusting. No management at all. Slow service. I go to this location about three times per week to get a Reese's Carvelanche. They are typically nice folks. I have decided to write this review because of my most recent experience. It must have been a really bad day for the owner of this location, because he decided to ruin my night by refusing to give me ice cream. I mentioned that my Carvelanche order was mistakenly made to be a Sunday Dasher. Relatively similar order, but not what I was itching for. It had peanut butter syrup all throughout it and wasn't what I wanted. Upon vocalizing my concern, the man behind the counter decided to lecture me about "how costly and time consuming it is for a customer to mistakenly order the wrong item." I noted how it was not my intention to be wasteful, and I was simply identifying the mistake in order to hopefully correct my order. He launched into a second tangent about how there is NO way I could have ordered a Carvelanche, and then proceeded to command his Carvel Cronies to not serve me anything. I explained to him how I believed this was a senseless act of indecency towards a potential customer. I had to argue with him for about 10 minutes about who's fault it was and how I could get my ice cream. After listing to his third lecture on wastefulness, he demanded I put four dollars in his tip jar and he would let me go with my ice cream. I would have rather paid the organization instead of rewarding him for his abysmal customer service interaction, but I cut my losses and left with a Sunday that I did not want. It was still decent, just too much. #TeamCarvelanche #OwnerIsMean #AndBitter I'll have my attorney contact his legal team with a discrimination suit - just to exhaust his funds. Bravo, Sir. You have been a sterling example of sales prevention and exactly not how to handle a mistake made. I hope you can reflect on the pitiful example you have set for your employees, and the destructive atmosphere you created for fellow customers in the store! read more

Our experience was HORRIBLE, and we will NEVER go back. Firstly, I'm allergic to dairy. So before ordering I asked if they hadnything that was dairy free. They told me the sherbet was safe. Then after I've eaten I was informed that he was mistaken and there is actually dairy in the sherbet. So now I will be sick later. Thank you for that! Secondly, I was with a 2 year old who is potty trained and has been for a while. Mid-ice cream she needed to pee. So I asked very nicely (and obviously desperately) if she could use the employee potty because she's 2 and she's not going to make it to another place. The guy said no and could not have cared less. Heartless human. So I had to drag my two year old to the car, put paper towels down, and race somewhere else that would be kind enough to let a small child pee. There are a million better ice cream places nearby. Don't waste your time with this place. The ice cream is standard and the customer service is the worst. read more

I was slightly offended when the workers behind the counter were making comments among themselves loud enough for the entire place to hear " everybody from new Rochelle is ghetto" and the boss was standing next to her at the time this happened.
