This adorable little location on Merrick Road is super clean, bright and well stocked. The staff was inviting & friendly making recommendations and suggestions. Since childhood I've enjoyed a cup of soft serve swirl Carvel ice cream with hot fudge & crunchies but it was a nice surprise to switch it up and get cold brew. I really just want to know where the motivation to work is these days. I called to place a custom cake order and girl told me I had to come in and just get general cake from their freezer. I understood they could not customize that day because it was a Wednesday evening and I even accepted not for the next day. After me asking in different ways they said they could do the following day (a friday). It seemed like such an effort to take the order. She put me on hold to check if she could do what I asked and I heard her say "I'll do it tomorrow, whatever I'm not going to stress about it." I should've honestly just said forget it and called another carvel. The cake was good that is why this location got 3 stars but the staff really needs to realize that even if they are having a bad day or whatever you still treat the customer right. read more

Like other reviewers have said, customer service here is definitely lacking. When I ordered my items, the young woman behind the counter shot looks to the young man behind the counter as if to ask if I was allowed to order what I did. It was weird and off-putting. Nevertheless, Carvel ice cream is delicious and impossibly creamy. So, hope management can get their service game together. read more

Went to carvel Thursday, this young man was beyond sweet , he was such a gentleman it was busy and he still had a smile on his face, he attended everyone very nicely and was so respectful . Ice cream was delicious! read more

Customer service and quality on point! The two associates who helped me were wonderful and made me feel welcomed versus other Carvels. The young man made delicious recommendations in creating a delicious Sundae Dasher, and took painstaking care in creating a masterpiece of a dessert! 3 stars for good ice cream. Minus two stars bc service was terrible. Young college or teenaged girls laughing and taking while making your order so it takes extra long. Just wanted to get my ice cream and get out, instead was waiting for them to discuss the music loudly playing on the radio. read more

Just purchased a small dipped cone with nuts around the rim, chocolate soft serve ice cream and chocolate sprinkles.To my surprise I was charge $6.39.I am not pointing out this particular Carvel as the service was indeed excellent, but Carvel is getting out of control with their prices and have been for some time now.Upon eating my small cone within several seconds,it probably weighed less than 4 ounces,I couldn't help but feel like I had just gotten cheated.I will never go to Carvel again as they are way overpriced and I'm honestly surprised the franchise has held on this long.Only reason for the two stars was 1-the service and 2-the taste read more

I could not have gotten worse service today. I put in a grubhub order, it was wrong, so I went back. The girls behind the counter basically begged to be fired. It started with them first telling me that not only could they make my order correctly but that they WOULDN'T make it bc it would take time away from the other customers. What customers? The store is empty. It was empty the first time I was there. It's not like I just walked in... I ordered it. Giving you the time to make it. After a few minutes of rude banter with these children, I just asked for my money back bc obviously neither girl, who say their names were Ashley and Gaby, were actually going to do their job. After an obnoxious inspection of the unopened carton, one of the children there gave my money at me. After commenting that they should be fired for this, they said "please get me fired. Hehehehe" as I walked out they said "Don't Fu**ing come back." I turned back in disgust and confusion, not believing what I thought I heard and said What?!? They repeated "Don't Fu**ing come back" I hope the manager is reading this and gives these girls what they want and fire them!
