But train your new staff to say "you're welcome" instead of "yup" and to fill up the entire cup with icecream rather than flat top it. $8 for a medium with tax for a cup is not cheap, when u can get a lot more for the same at grocery stores. Hampton Bays location of Carvel is the worst experience I have had in a very long time. I don't know what's going on with that location but the help and the product has gone completely downhill. I think this franchise should be reviewed by headquarters and whomever is managing it needs to be replaced or at the very least retrained! Employees at this location do not know what they are doing, speak another language or just plain lazy'! Find another Carvel location Cause this one is a nightmare! This is my opinion. I came in on a cold March sunny day. Ordered a butter pecan in a paper cup. I think it was about $4. Very flavorful. There was one another customer with her baby in the stroller. Plenty of parking spots. The lady helped me was very friendly. I wouldn't say this is an affordable spot. However, my experience was great. read more

Pistachio ice cream...with no pistachios??? Ordered online and did not expect that. I ordinarily like what I get there but this fell way short. I've made my own ice cream many times before but did not have the ingredients on hand or room in freezer to freeze the canisters. And this was an impulse buy. Wow!!! Just had the most amazing service at one of my favorite local ice cream shops. Alexis was her name and we had a chance to chat. Very personable, pleasant and ambitious. Takes her job seriously and you can tell. Automatically jumped in to see how she could help me, gave wonderful suggestions, and service with such a nice smile. A couple of other cheerful kids too, but 1 man did not seem to be enjoying his job. I mean really, how could you not smile working in an ice cream shop. This place does not deserve any negative reviews and it's the place to come in the evening for amazing ice cream. There are tons of great flavors to choose from. Two flavors I really liked were the black raspberry and dulce de leche. The soft serve with brownie that my boyfriend ordered was tasty too. I came here two nights in a row since I loved it so much. It's usually pretty packed after sunset but the lines move pretty fast. There are lots of park benches next to the shop to enjoy your ice cream on. I wish they had a Carvel where I'm from in MN! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Hampton Bays! I'm officially a huge Carvel fan now. read more

The over priced ice cream in the freezer is half melted and staff's response was "that's just how it is " the staff is so disinterested in everything they messed up orders . Whatever you do, don't order a mint chocolate chip dasher. I ordered a small and it was HALF way filled with chocolate chips. We also ordered a Reese's dasher which was also halfway filled with Reese's. They were both impossible to eat. I left two stars because I love carvel but this was VERY disappointing - and expensive considering what each dasher was filled with. read more

Carvel, Carvel, Carvel. As a kid in HB, it was the only ice cream place in town (and today, it's still only one of three). They have great flying saucers (ice cream sandwiches) and delicious ice cream cakes (growing up, it was a birthday staple! the chocolate crunchies are a must!). It's a seedly little ice cream spot on the outskirts of downtown, but you just can't resist stopping in, can you? Even Adam Sandler can't -- he was spotted there last summer by a high school friend. The quality of service from the girl that helped us was terrible. For starters I ordered a junior cup. The picture has the ice cream coming out of the top. The girl in a rush put a dab of ice cream and sprinkles. I had to tell her this stops at the brim looks nothing like photo. Annoyed she fixes it doesn't add sprinkles. My girlfriend ordered a cone chocolate and vanilla swirl and she gave her vanilla. She seemed visibly unhappy with having to do the most basic thing...her job! read more

This is the same delicious soft ice cream I used to enjoy as a teenager. Everything is delicious and Fudgey the Whale is the best way to celebrate a birthday in style!!!
